"FIRE!" Mason yowled. A second later, gunshots rang through the air. "Pal, please tell me you have a plan!" Ozone cried, moving his tail out of the way of a speeding bullet. "Yeah, watch your head and cover your eyes!" Tiberius replied as they continued going up. Lifting his gaze, Ozone gasped when they saw that they were heading for a skylight. He closed his eyes just as they broke through.

"Are we dead?" Ozone asked, his head stinging from the little pieces of glass that had gotten him. "Yeah, I think so," Tiberius murmured in a teasing manner, slowing down a bit. Breathing a sigh of relief, Ozone looked down to find themselves way high up off the ground. Panicking, he squirmed in the hawk's grasp. "Would you calm down? I'm trying to see which way we need to go!" Tiberius hissed, keeping a firm hold on Ozone's neck.

"Would you look at that Ozone, you can fly after all!" Mason's voice called. Looking over, Ozone sighed long and hard as he muttered, "Why do I need to deal with this right now?" Mason and his henchmen were now on the rooftop. The hairless cat hadn't a clue as to how they got up there so fast. Meanwhile, the ginger cat had an evil grin on his face as he called, "So you really are leaving me then!"

"Uh... yeah, cuz you're a psychopath!" Ozone hissed.

"At least take my gift," Mason replied. Taking a pistol from one of his henchmen, he pointed it at Ozone. The hairless feline's heart pounded in his chest as he stared at the gun, the sun gleaming off the barrel. Paw on the trigger, Mason showed Ozone his pearly whites before firing. Ozone expected to feel a burning pain in his body. But nothing happened. Laughing, he sneered, "You missed!"

"Here's the thing Ozone," Mason meowed back, giving the pistol back to his henchmen, "I wasn't aiming for you."

Ozone was about to ask what the ginger cat meant when a drop of blood fell on his nose. The next thing he knew, he was plummeting out of the sky...
