Ozone woke up to the sound of a heavy paw pounding on the door. Lifting his head, the hairless cat looked over at Felix, who seemed confused about the situation. "Stay right there, don't move unless I say so," the black cat murmured, his yellow eyes flickering with worry. He quietly crept over to a window next to the back door and peered out. Ozone watched silently.

"You got to get outta here!" Felix suddenly cried, his fur bristling with fear.

"What? Who is it?" Ozone questioned Felix.

"Open up this door before I knock it off its hinges!" Mason's voice called from outside. Ozone's blood ran cold and his eyes widened. "Wake up your pal and get out now! Use the cat door!" Felix hissed quietly, shaking. Briskly nodding his head, Ozone shook Tiberius gently, waking him. "What now? I was this close to getting that squirrel," the old hawk grumbled.

"Mason's here," Ozone whispered, "We need to get out now." Without another word, he quickly helped Tiberius to his feet and headed over to the front door. There was a small flap at the bottom, just big enough for both of them to crawl through. Watching the two animals leave, Felix breathed a sigh of relief before cracking open the back door a tiny bit. However, Mason and his cronies shoved the door open with brute force and entered the house.

"Excuse me-" Felix began to say but Mason quieted him as he placed the barrel of his gun up against the black cat's head. Eyes widened with absolute terror, Felix's mouth went dry as Mason asked, "If you wish to live, tell me where those two are heading..."
