"Sock him? I have never heard of-" Mason couldn't finish his sentence as Tiberius suddenly punched him right in the mouth. Yowling in pain, the ginger cat released his hold on the old hawk but not his pistol. Angry, he aimed the gun at the bird but Ozone then bowled into Mason just as the cat fired. Ignoring the pain that shot up from his right forepaw, Ozone kept moving Mason towards the edge of the roof.

A moment later, Mason could be heard yowling as he fell over the edge of the Empire State Building. Ozone almost followed the ginger cat for a long and traumatic descent down the skyscraper. Luckily for him, Tiberius had just grabbed his tail in the nick of time. Once he was back up on safe and firm ground, Ozone and Tiberius peered over the side of the building.

Screeching at the top of his lungs, Mason continued falling for several meters. Paws flailing in the air and tail lashing about in a fit, he was trying to flip himself over so he could land on his feet. However, he was too late as he crashed on the street far below with a crunch that both Ozone and Tiberius could hear from the top of the Empire State Building.

"Huh, guess cats don't always land on their feet," Ozone remarked.

"Do you think he survived that?" Tiberius asked.

"He fell quite a ways down, there's no way- oh my god, you have got to be kidding me!" Ozone exclaimed. Both Ozone and Tiberius watched in awe and horror as Mason miraculously struggled to his paws.

 Mason was in pretty bad shape, his body appearing to have broken several bones. His spirit, however, was unscathed as he tipped his head back and glared at the two animals high above his head. Snarling, he began shouting as loud as he could, "This isn't over Ozone! When we see each other again, and we will, you won't be so lucky! I will hunt you down to the ends of the world 'til you drop down from exhaustion! Then I shall make your death as long and as sufferable as possible! You'll never find true peace as long as I live!" With that, Mason began laughing his head off evilly.

"Someone save me now," Ozone pleaded.

All of the sudden, a speeding car tore down the street, striking Mason hard. The vehicle kept racing down the road like nothing happened, leaving a bloody mess behind. Ozone and Tiberius had watched the whole scene with horror.

"That... was disgusting..." Ozone murmured, his ears flat against his head in terror.

"I think I'm gonna be sick!" Tiberius stated, clasping his right wing over his mouth. Without saying a word, the pair slowly backed away from the edge of the roof and the gruesome crime scene on the street below.
