Bruce.

Anna was still a little upset and I did not know what to do, to cheer her up.

Snow said me that she had no problem to lead the project. Of course that was for Snow not for me.

So I thought If not anything I can distract Anna with this work. So I  gathers all my strength and went to see Anna in our room.

I knocked the door.

She opened it herself and saw me and went back inside and I went inside.

"I just came to give you these" I said Anna holding a file infront of her.

She looked at the file and then at me, confused.

"The project that you and Snow will be leading" I said and she took the file from me.

"You will find all the details in it" I said and turned back to leave.

"Bruce can we talk." She  said and I was scared now.

I turned back and looked at her.

"Sit" she said.

I sat on the couch and she sat on the bed facing me.

"I'm sorry about what happen. I did not mean to break down like I did I was just too carried away, I usually don't do that a lot. I'm sorry that won't repeat again. Snow gave me this phone and she said you did not wanted me to know about it. Bruce let me say you something." she paused for some time making me scared now.

"Look Bruce I don't hate you, that does not mean I love you either. I don't know if you know it but a lot is changed in my life. I don't know how to react. We were husband and wife and then we were not and then I get to know we are again husband and wife which is really something very confusing. I don't know if I could be your wife or if I want to be separated from you" she paused again.

My heartbeat was high now I did not know what she wanted form me.

"As of now I don't want to know what to do. I'm confused, I won't go to the divorse part as of now because if I start forcing myself out of this relationship you will force me in it again, and we both will loose at some point of time.  So let's just not force each other for anything. You want me to stay I'll be here but I can't stay in the same room with you, you want me to work for this project I'll do that, but I won't be doing it sitting in your office. All I'm asking is a little space for a while. I promise I'll come up with a strong reason for, either to stay or to walk out, and that will take time but I just want you to accept my decision. So can I consider this a deal between us." she explained me and I was more than happy with it.

"Can I add something to this deal as well" I asked her.

"Sure" she said.

"Well I'll respect your decision Anna I'm more than happy that you atleast thought about us. All I ask you is to allow me to be around you, I'll not force you to be in the same room but you will stay in the room right beside mine. I won't ask you to be in my office and work but you will be working in he same branch as mine. We will have our all meals together, we will talk sometimes on something other than work. And you will have to give me a chance to prove myself to you, I'm in love with you Anna and I want you to know that. I want to make you feel special so I'll be doing that on my terms. Is this fine by you?" I asked Anna after saying her my conditions.

"Yes but please don't have any high expectations from me." She said.

"So friends?" I asked extending my hand.

She looked at me with a are you serious expression. And said

"Before I accept you as my   friend, I want to clear a few things. I want you to say me anything you want to tell me without any hesitation. Like you sent this phone through Snow I don't want that to happen again. Whatever it is either good or bad we will talk and sort it out. You won't force me to do anything I'm not comfortable with and I'll also try my best to do things which I feel are in my comfort zone." Anna said making me more happy

"Sure I'll keep all that in mind" I replied.

Then she took my hand.

This was it. I got a lead now. I have a chance now, one life time chance.

The next day we headed to the office and I introduced Anna to the people she will be working with and her team. Anna got jelled up with them quick.

I went back to my work, with a positive attitude.

I worked until lunch and then went to meet Anna for lunch.

"So all well?" I asked entering Anna's cabin.

"Yes" she replied.

"Lunch?" I asked her.

"Give me 10 min" she replied.

After a while she got a call on her phone. Now I was super glad she was using the phone I gave her.

I did not see who was calling as I had already embarressed myself before, with that envelope thing.

"Pick it up please" Anna requested me.

That's when I picked the call and it was Snow.

"Anna please go through the new interior plans I have mailed you. I have selected a few just let me know which one' s you are interested in" Snow spoke as soon as I picked the call.

"Well I'll ask her to do it. By the way it's Bruse and not Anna." I said Snow.

Anna looked at me and I gave her the phone.

"I'll do that and Snow just send me investor's details I need to cross check on  them." She said that and after a while ended the call.

"Woah! looks like you are busy I'll order something in here" I asked her.

"No that's fine, you had Informed me about the lunch long back, we will go" she said making me happier.

Slow and steady wins the race.

I believe on that quote now completely.

Anna.

He was taking easy now unlike before when he wanted quick results.

Yesterday when I asked him that I can't stay with him in he same room.

He had my room changed. He also took a promise that we will go for shopping for me this weekend. And I had to agree with it because that was how we had planned things.

I don't know if I'll ever agree to be with him, but I don't mind taking the risk.

I had to at some point admit that Bruce  has been treating me well. I know he forced me to stay with him and all of that, but he is the only guy who has got so close to me. He has been doing his best to take me back.

I know he had made me sign the papers the same day of our wedding, but I too had done it without any questions so why blame him alone. I know he did not give me any chance, but it is equally true that I never asked for one.

Now that I'm here and he does not want me to go, I need to give him a chance.

Just because I never got any chance to change things does not mean I don't allow him do the same.

I might not forgive him for what he did, but I can't deny the fact that he has now accepted me with what I'm.

"Here we go" Bruce's voice brought me back from my thoughts.

Ha had stopped infront of a lavish looking hotel.

He does not leave a single chance to impress me.

It's been a while, me being pampered. So why not go with the flow and allow someone do that. What harm can it give.

I too for once want to live my life with no regrets, and if this is how it choose to happen why not let things happen their own way....

Big transformation there for Anna.

And I don't think that's too bad. There is no harm in letting someone make you happy.

And if that someone is your husband...
Things get more interesting and simple.
