Anna.

The party started late in the evening and  the guests were many like the entier London was here. I had never seen any such events before. But this one was too huge to go unnoticed.

Anyway all I had to do was serve the drinks and leave and I'm sure it's going to end soon.

"Anna the guests have arrived and they will be needing the drinks first and you know they don't like waiting." Yelled one of the maids.

"I'm on it" I replied and headed out and the moment I stepped in the party hall I saw one of the best decorations and it seemed to be very expensive.

"My boss indeed is a rich guy" I said to myself.

And started serving the drinks untill I met a girl. She walked towards me and asked me for the drink.

I served her and left from there. The next thing I know was I was standing right infront of Mr. Grantham. He looked at me like I was not supposed to be hear.

Honestly I did not know what he was thinking but I was too involved in checking him out that I did not notice anything and even anyone around.

"I'll take that as a compliment" I heard him say.

"Excuse me" I found myself asking.

Why did I  ask that to him. I'm so dum.

"You were starring at me so I thought I was looking good" he explained.

"Oh that I'm sorry" and I left from there.

How can I be so dum.

I reached to the refill counter got my drinks and was heading back when the same lady who asked me for the drink took a glass form me and sipped the drink and I don't know what got into her she spitted the drink out.

"All ok ma'am?" I asked her.

"Are you trying to kill people with this" she said while keeping the drink back.

"You better get me what I want?" She came closer to me and almost yelled.

"Sorry ma'am" was all I could say.

Like I knew what she wanted. Either she was dum or she hated me. But why?..

Ah.. who cares. I just hope this ends soon and I go back to my room and have a chat with Margaret and sleep in my bed. Was all I wish for tonight....

She actually noticed me and I can't stop smiling for that one thought.

The party started in the way I wanted it to but the one person I did not expect was here. I had made sure that Winget does not get the invitation but I don't know how and why was she here.

I noticed Anna being busy with her job I walked towards her and before I could reach her, Winget came right infront of me and started hugged me making sure she made me feel everything which pissed me off and I had to push her away as that was the only way to keep her away.

I did that and walked towards Anna.

"Enjoying the party?" I asked her picking up the a glass of drink.

"Sort of" was her reply.

Before I could say something Winget came towards us.

"Didn't I asked you to get something worth drinking" she yelled at her.

"Behave Winget" I warned her.

"Now you don't teach me how to deal with these people." She said making me angry.

"Well... they are not your people to deal with anyway" I said and asked Anna to leave.

Before Anna could leave Winget yelled " what is she to you?"

That grabbed everyone's attention towards us.

"What is your problem?" I yelled at Winget.

"She is my problem" Winget grabbed Anna's hand and pulled her.

"Leave her" I yelled.

"I won't. She is just a maid and she is of no importance either yet you are seen with her more than our clients."
She said still holding Anna's hand.

"First things first they are my clients not your's and you need not worry about who I care about" I said while gently taking out Anna's hand from her.

"You okay?" I asked Anna. For which she simply nodded her head.

I held her hand and was walking out. When I heard Winget yelling again.

"Yeah that's what she is your mistress guess you could not find anyone better than her and may be that's why you always want to be with her"

I turned towards her and and with he most calmed tone said " leave"

"Hha.... just proved me right. She is of more importance to you than me" Winget was taking this to other level now.

"I asked you to leave now!" And turned walking faster.

"Why do you want me to leave so that you could sleep with that s**th"

Anna stopped listening to those words like she was frozen there. And that awaken the beast in me.

"She is my wife. Did you hear that and one more word against her will turn your life into your worst nightmare" I yelled.

The moment I said that Anna pulled her hand from mine and started to walk out. I had to run behind her to stop her.

Once I reached close to her. Anna spoke "thank you"

"Anything for you Anna" I replied.

"Ok I'll leave now the guests are still Inside" she stammered.

"They are not important for me Anna you a...."

"Thank you for helping out there I guess I'd better leave now" she cut me off, and started walking fast.

"Anna stop" I yelled.

I ran behind her and stopped infront of her.

"Anna you think I said that to only help you?" I asked her.

"That's not important" she said walking faster.

"Anna I'm your husband" I yelled.

"He divorced me long back" she yelled back.

"Anna just stop so that I can explain I'm the one who divorced you. I was the one who did not allow you inside Anna please listen to me." I told everything possible to stop her.

But she continued walking I could not find any way to stop her but one.

"Shut the gates and don't let her out"
The statement I never wanted to repeat yet I had to.

Anna still walked towards the gates and yelled "open them now!"

For which they did not respond.

"What do you want from me. Stop treating me like a animal because I'm not. First you ask them not to allow me in now you tell them not to let me out. Look I'm not your wife that you command me to do things. Stop controlling my life for once.I had signed those papers that night and I was out of that relationship that moment. Just let me go. Ask them to open the gates." She said in the most hurted tone.

For a while I did not know what to do I even thought of letting her go  but I eventually I realised that I was not going to let her go at any cost and that's why I went towards her held her wrist and took her inside. I had to be careful as I knew that the people were still Inside. I choose the other door to enter the house. Ignoring all her struggles to take her hand out of mine.

I took her to my room and tried calming her down but she was too aggressive to even listen to me.

I had to hold her close to me through her waist and keep her that way.

"Let go... I had signed those papers and you don't have any rights to do this to me" she said while struggling to get out of my grip.

Honestly I was enjoying the position I was in. She was so close to me for the first time.

"Calm down first" I said while smiling at her.

"I have no plans of doing that" she replied.

I did not understand what to do so I held her in that position and took off my blazer and pulled off my tie and unbuttoned my shirt. I could sence her hesitation.

I lifted her up and placed her on the bed making sure I slept next to her holding her close to me.

"Comfortable now?" A wrong question to ask yet I asked.

"Let me go" she replied.

"Not gonna happen" I said while pulling her closer.

I don't know what made her stop moving.

"Now listen the papers you signed never got accepted and that clearly explains that you and I are still married couple." I said her.

She seemed calm and she was lost in her own thoughts. After a while when I was confirmed that she was sleeping I loosen my grip in her. The moment I did that she pulled herself out and stood near the door and tried opening it.

"Open it" she asked.

"It has a code" I replied.

"I want to go out" she said.

"Like I said you are not allowed to go out" I said getting out of the bed.

"I don't want to be here, not with you" she said.

"You live in this mansion inside this room and that's final" I said getting inside the bathroom as I did not wanted her to ask me questions which I can not answer not at this moment atleast.
