53 | Unchained Melody
Hello, hello my lovelies!
So...it's been a while. Please forgive me...and I hope you still remember me.
I wrote a little announcement many days ago, but in case you didn't see it, here's a summary. My life's been crazy for the past several months. At first it was writer's block, then mental health struggles, then just being busy, then courses, then a multi-week trip, another course, a wedding (not mine lol), and preparing for another upcoming wedding (my brother's). Things are finally starting to settle down and I'm so thankful for that.
But I'm also thankful for all of you readers who haven't forgotten about me and this book and bless you for still hanging around.
Please don't forget to vote and comment, because I love reading the little things you have to say.
I do hope this chapter makes up for all this time I've been missing though. It's a long one!
So, without further ado, I hope you enjoy this one, my darling rosy tulips (gosh I missed saying this) 🌷

Serenity.
The past couple of months have gone by incredibly fast.
Our trip to London was beyond successful, and I don't think I've ever seen Harry happier since. It was like a massive weight had lifted completely off his shoulders.
I would imagine so, because it mainly had to do with Harry's father; he hadn't heard from him since that day.
What surprised me was when Harry contacted Valentina and met with her for coffee the day after we arrived. He told me to come with him, and I didn't know who we were meeting until she arrived. Apparently, he wanted to tell her what happened with Eric in person. Seeing him wasn't something she ever expected him to do. The way that Harry told her, "he doesn't have a hold on you anymore," made tears fall down her cheek.
He also grabbed her hand to squeeze it when he saw how emotional she got.
Harry began to have the true family he's always wanted.
"Thank you, Harry."
There was so much pure gratitude with her reply.
It was easy to say that he was beyond content that day, and I also had to stop tears from falling from my eyes when I saw him like that. It was such a heartwarming time, and I did everything in me so I wouldn't cry.
Exactly a month later, he invited her and Estela over for dinner — Mateo wasn't in the mix because Harry was still a bit petty with Mateo, and I didn't blame him. He had every right to be upset with him.
He also knew that Mateo wasn't on my list of favourite people because of how he treated him for that Christmas dinner. He was a "right fucking prick." Harry's words, not mine.
What surprised me was when Harry called his father to tell him that he was now a multi-billionaire. I was still stunned and taken off guard by how rich he was. It wasn't the first time — one being on New Year's Eve, but that was in a different context.
I did annoy him a tad further with one of my favourite nicknames for him: rich bitch.
Which in all honesty, it should now be richest bitch.
He seemed to take it well that time, just grinning widely, so proud and happy.
Harry was also very surprising with multiple things after that freeing day; he also gained more confidence in the bedroom.
Well, not exactly the bedroom per se.
Because on our way back to Canada, we joined the Mile High Club.
I never knew exactly what it was until after we did it.
It came as a surprise, and what started it was my nerves on the flight.
"Baby, please calm down. You're okay," Harry whispered, holding my hand. I gave him no other option; my grip on him was too tight to dare let go.
Simply because I wasn't okay. It was worse than on the flight here.
"Petal, sweetheart?" he spoke softly, trying to get my attention. "Look at me, Es, breathe with me."
This felt like being stuck in an elevator all over again.
Harry tried to help me overcome that fear of mine, but there was no hope for it. I once called myself stupid for thinking it was something small that anyone could get over, but he scolded me for that. He reminded me of the time I told him that tigers are afraid of fire and that he didn't blame them for having that fear; nonetheless, it was still okay to have one.
"We're human, Essie," he'd said.
It helped the way my mind thought about it after that, but it wasn't helping when I needed it most.
When I looked at him, I felt like time had stopped, and it was just us.
His beautiful emerald gems were gazing deeply into mine, but concern was all over his features. He was worried about me, and with little way his head tilted or sucked his lips in as he fretted; it just showed the pure love he had.
"You with me?"
At his words, I nodded meekly, and a small upwards curl formed at the corner of his mouth. Delicately, he brought one of my hands up and flattened my palm against his chest. His settled just above, keeping it secured. "Feel my heartbeat. Listen to it and breathe slowly."
I felt every beat against my touch and slowly began to inhale and exhale. It was exactly like the first vulnerable moment we shared with one another. I kept my eyes open, looking at his eyes while I breathed deeply, and it only warmed my heart.
"That's better, yeah?" he said, his voice just above a whisper.
Nodding, I showed him a slight smile. He kept his hand above mine for a bit longer to make sure I was okay before he lifted it to place a kiss upon it.
He then proceeded to lightly bite my pinky, and I pulled away with a surprised breath, and he chuckled. Unbuckling his belt, he lifted from his seat to give me a quick kiss, then plopped back exactly how he was.
All of that took place during taxi. My mind was in overdrive since the plane had left the gate and was slowly moving on the asphalt runway.
My anxiety picked up just as quickly when I was pushed back in my seat from the sudden speed, the sound of the acceleration, and the way my ears popped as we were on an incline.
It wasn't fun.
He did the same thing during that time, constantly checking up on me during the flight. All up until almost halfway through, and I couldn't find an ounce of sleep; I needed something more. But in my mind, it was just a hug.
Harry, though, had something else in mind.
"Sweetheart?"
"Yeah?" I replied, looking at him only to see a twinkle in his eyes.
"Es, baby, go wait in the washroom for me. I'll be there in five."
"What?"
"Just go," he said simply. "Unlock when you hear three taps, yeah?"
My brows furrowed, but I nodded and did exactly as told.
If he wanted to hug me, we could've done that in the aisle. Almost everyone was asleep, so I didn't think people would be bothered by a couple embracing each other.
I waited in the bathroom for the five minutes he told me, letting him in when I heard his signal, and he came in, locking the door behind him. I noticed a open tote filled with a few of our clothes in his hand as he set it on the small counter.
His eyes held that same sparkle but were darker, and I knew exactly what he thought when they looked like that.
"Har—"
"You wanted a distraction, darling? Something to get your mind off this plane, huh? I promise I'll give you plenty of ways to forget where we are. Make you forget your name, and the only one you'll remember is mine."
And I lost track of location the next second, he had me pressed up against the porcelain sink, kissing me passionately, devouring every bit of my skin.
It surely wasn't something I expected, but he absolutely kept his promise.
Thankfully, we ended up in the shower, his hand covering my mouth as he drove into me, pushing us into ultimate bliss. There wasn't a chance he would've kept me quiet if it wasn't for how he muffled my sounds.
I only remembered his name because it's all I could say. He treated me to everything I loved in such a private, yet very public place. Even through his dominance, he didn't tease me a lot, but just enough so that he also got what he wanted—to see me in pleasure.
Of course, he treated himself in the very same thing. I thanked him mid-way, and he surely appreciated it, all until he took matters back into his own hands—amongst something else.
Nonetheless, it was incredibly and sensually fun.
Once we finished, we cleaned our bodies, and he gave me cheeky grins as if he didn't just give me a limp when I moved around.
The flight attendant raised a brow at us when we exited the bathroom, both with wet hair. Harry then pulled out his wallet, handed her a solid hundred-pound note, and placed his finger over his mouth. "It was just a shower." Her eyes widened, assuring her that her thoughts were confirmed. Without a word, she took the money and walked away.
Needless to say, I was at perfect ease throughout the rest of the flight. After about an hour or so, we landed, Harry made sure I was in an upright position so no one would bother me about it.
I woke up right after we stopped at the gate when Harry lightly tapped my shoulder.
"Wakey, wakey, petal."
With tired eyes, I saw him smiling adoringly at me.
"What?"
"Nothing," he replied, then whispered to himself. "God, my girl is so beautiful."
But I only focused on one thing: it was good being back on Canadian land.
I must add that Archie asked if I'd fallen when he saw me because I was still walking with a slight limp. Harry only snickered and said I'd stumbled over someone's foot in the airplane.
I mean, he wasn't wrong. I did trip over his foot in the shower, which led to him holding me. I'd say that it wasn't fun, but it was very fun.
On the ride back home, Harry's hand intertwined with mine as he spoke with Archie about how everything was here while he was away; all I could think about was our trip.
Harry showed me around every part of London that he could think of. He was my personal tour guide, and I loved it.
I never knew how informational he could be with facts. I wasn't sure I would be entertained by history and random bits in the beginning, but he knew how to grab anyone's attention and make them interested.
I guess it was a similar tactic that he used in business.
My smart man.
Everything about the city mesmerised me, from the London Eye to Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey to a dinner at The Shard.
I made a playful joke that I'd love to live here one day, and Harry glared at me. It wasn't pretty.
I knew that Harry loved Vancouver a lot and that he never wanted to leave it. Sure he calls me his home and that he'd go wherever I wanted, but deep down inside, I was well aware he didn't consider London someplace he wouldn't move to again. He had far too many bad memories, and even after clearing things off his chest, it was still not a place he felt comfortable in.
Kind of like when a person is thrown into a pool as a kid, and even after learning to swim later in life, knowing you'll stay afloat, the feeling of trauma will always linger deep down inside.
It was similar to how it was with me and elevators.
But Harry still made everything about the trip a way to try and make it more memorable for me. Without a doubt, he added a very special moment to add to that, but how he was able to use those same tactics he used with me just as we met.
And a couple of weeks ago, Estela reached out to Harry, asking if they could go for a cup of coffee. I was in his office that day, keeping him company as he did some work. I studied his face as she asked that question, and I swore I saw the tiniest hint of glee flash in his eyes, along with a lip curl. He tried to hide it from me and thought I had missed it, but I didn't.
It was another surprise when he didn't tell her he'd think about it and call her later; instead, Harry said he'd meet her the following day for lunch and coffee. It just meant he wanted to chat with her for a little longer.
When he told me about it, the second the call ended, he'd said "Gonna meet with my sis—Estela tomorrow."
Again, he thought he was being smooth by covering it up, but I also caught that.
My sister.
First his mother, and then, Estela.
He truly was on his way to having that family he's always wanted.
Harry knew her for five years, only a single memory that lingered in his remembrance, and the rest, taken away by suppression and natural development. After decades later, and only mere months of beginning to honestly know them, his heart was finally healing as it got the last piece it was missing.
Time meant nothing when it came to relationships—familial, friendships, and intimate; they were all the same.
For some, they could fall in love without knowing it, hearing a story of one man who took well over seven months to even recognise he simply had feelings for the girl, whilst she knew much sooner. Their love confession was heartbreaking, but with utmost honesty, they could share it with sincere passion.
With me, I knew before we even dated, and Harry took longer to push past his mental struggles he had from his ex to dare take another step.
And after several months, love confessions included, the two of us were thriving together.
That very next day, I was prepared to go with him to see his sister, but he asked if it was okay if he went alone.
I was simply surprised, yet so proud of him for doing something big on his own. I nodded and kissed him deeply, giving him a look that he would be more than okay. It was the way that he pulled me back in, wrapped his arms around me, and left me panting from an incredibly passionate kiss that only silently screamed 'I love you so much.'
That same evening, I was waiting for him to come home and find out how their talk went, and I was surely in for a shock. Harry went to work in the morning, as he always did, and then went to meet Estela for lunch and have coffee afterward. It was all planned, and nothing was different — until it was.
I found out that he managed to cancel the rest of his appointments for the rest of the day because he was having such a good time with his sister.
"Baby," he'd yelled right after walking through the front door. "Having a sister is so fucking cool!"
That was when Luna came to greet him, and he picked her up and said something that—yet again—I never ever expected to hear from him.
"Luns, you're going to love your Auntie Stel."
Auntie.
Stel.
A formal title and a nickname.
There truly was a revelation.
He then came back to give me another hug and a very passionate kiss.
"Thank you, Essie. Love you so much. Always been there for me. Want to thank you properly," he'd said right before showing me with entire appreciation at how overjoyed he was.
The following day we had to meet my parents for dinner, and I could see how they refrained from asking me why I was walking a little funny.
Harry only snickered.
Cheeky bastard.
I was lucky my brothers weren't around that day, or I would've never lived it down.
But now, more time has passed, and my birthday is right around the corner.
Harry hasn't mentioned anything.
There was little doubt that he forgot, because we both knew how strong his memory was.
Plus, I saw it in his phone calendar. I knew that he knew.
I was just a little puzzled because I was expecting worrying questions about what he should get me as a gift or things I wanted to do, but it was radio silence. It wasn't that I wanted anything because all I needed was for him to be with me, even if we only just laid in bed together.
It was falling on a Monday this year, and I hoped Harry wasn't bombarded with meetings all day.
It wasn't about it being my birthday that made me feel queasy, but the general thought that it would be the first day we'd spend together — on the actual day. We both knew how his went and I wanted to give him a little hint of how it could be with the person you love.
Usually, I spent it with Amara, but she already told me we'll see how things go regarding Harry's plans. When she asked me if he'd mentioned anything, she'd said, "Oh, that man better not have forgotten. I will skin his ass and pluck a couple of grapes."
I choked on my tea.
She was undoubtedly colourful with her answer.
"Mars, let's just see what happens then, eh?"
"Better be a smart fellow," she'd huffed.
"Yeah. He better be," I'd said with a sigh. "I mean, I don't necessarily care...but I kind of do."
"As you should, Ren. He's your boyfriend. He needs to care."
With another sigh, I nodded.
"Now, bitch, let's see what we can get you in for your special day," Mars spoke, getting up from sitting on the bed, and then began to raid my closet.
That day, she made me try on several things, deciding that none of them worked. So she did what any best friend would do: she treated me with an early birthday present by taking me to the mall and buying me a full outfit...along with some intimate pieces.
"You look so damn good, and if Harry doesn't cream his pants when he sees you, something is seriously wrong with him."
And that was when I choked on a breath.
That was the first thing I thought of when I woke up, my eyes fluttering open to see the fuzzy time on my phone. The date had changed, and I smiled.
The minimal space Harry shared with me was empty, feeling the slightly warm temperature against the sheets. Sitting up, I slid my glasses on my face and let out a soft sigh.
I got out of bed, slipped my feet into my slippers, and headed towards my open bedroom door.
"Morning, pretty," I said, walking into the kitchen to find Harry making breakfast.
But suddenly, I noticed something different, even though there was no difference in any other day.
I may or may not have already figured that out because I was up at midnight, and he was sound asleep.
He didn't even bother waking me up then like he'd done for Christmas. I just assumed he would, but he didn't.
Biting my lip, I kept my eyes on him, watching him move around, focusing on the tasks at hand. He didn't even look at me when I came in, but only when I stood beside him; that's when he turned his head to glance at me.
"Morning, baby," he said with a smile, coming to place a sweet kiss on my cheek.
At first, I thought Harry would lean in for another proper kiss, but he turned around to pull out a glass from the cupboard. He filled it with the last of the orange juice.
After taking a big sip, he let out a loud "ah" in delight.
"That good, eh?" I asked, reaching out to drink some from his, and he lightly tapped my hand away.
"Mine."
The look in his eyes didn't exactly leave any room for discussion, but it was my birthday, and I deserved to get what I wanted.
Plus, it was just orange juice.
"Harry..." I paused. "...I think we can share it. It is my birth—"
"Hold on, Es. Gotta take that," he said, stopping me mid-sentence as his phone rang.
He took the drink with him.
Now that was just rude.
It's my birthday, for goodness sake. I deserved to feel wanted and treated well, and so far, I was getting nothing.
Letting out a frustrated breath, I waited until he finished the call, feeling Luna curl around my leg. Reaching down, I pulled her in my arms as I sighed.
I swore I could see a hint of a smile before she started licking my cheek softly. "At least someone remembers. I knew you'd never forget," I said, rubbing my fingers through her fluffy fur. "Go make sure he sneezes all day, eh, Luns? Do your job."
Harry spent several minutes on the phone, chatting away with someone while he sat on the couch, drinking his orange juice. I just stood in the kitchen with Luna in my arms until she jumped down to finish the rest of the food in her bowl, and she then proceeded to follow him.
The current enemy.
And just like I quietly hoped that she would do, she did. She climbed up on his lap and stretched further to sink her head into his neck for a cuddle. Within seconds he was a sneezing mess and had to hang up his call until he could get it under control.
I couldn't help but snicker, hiding it behind my hand when his head flickered towards me.
It wasn't long before we were both getting dressed after eating breakfast — him fuller than me.
Sitting on the couch with a foot bent underneath me and a pillow on my lap, I glanced up at Harry when he spoke as he tied his shoes. Today he was in a vibrant canary yellow suit and button-down, contrasting it with a sleek black tie and loafers. His hair was softer today, almost as if I'd run my fingers through those pretty strands.
But I hadn't because he wasn't giving me an ounce of proper affection on the day I deserved it.
"Do you have anything to do today?"
Obviously not, you idiot. I made sure to let all the instructors take over my classes today. I wanted to celebrate with you, but clearly, you could care less. I thought to say.
"No, not really. Was going to see Mars, then see my parents," I said instead, then tilted my head. "Why?"
"Come visit me at the office today," he replied.
Maybe he was going to surprise me.
But maybe he wasn't.
This Harry was unpredictable.
"If I have time, sure," I said simply, and he gave a single nod.
"Alright." His brows furrowed slightly as his lips pursed. He moved to slide his coat over his suit jacket, patting down the collar to adjust it. "I have something I want to talk to you about."
Tilting my head, my brows furrowed. "Everything okay?"
"Of course, love," he said with a small smile. "I've got to get to work, so we'll chat then. I'll see you later, baby."
And with a kiss on the cheek and no chance for a reply, he was out the door.
That left me with a — still — tilted head, lip-shaped residue from his chapstick on my cheek, and a tang in my heart craving an ounce more affection.

Surprisingly, it didn't rain on my birthday this year. The last few were cloudy and rainy days, but I liked to see the sun's rays on my special day.
And that was exactly what I got for my twenty-sixth.
The warmth was beating down onto my face, a chilly breeze smoothly flowing through my hair with birds chirping nearby as I stepped foot on the grounds of Urban Corp. A tray of hot drinks in my hand, ready for the three people I loved — amongst one for myself.
A smile was bright on Mark's face as he greeted me, widening further when he noticed his favourite coffee in hand.
"What's this? A double-double? For me?" he spoke sarcastically, a soft chuckle nearby.
"Of course it's for you, silly goose." I grinned.
"I should be getting you something for today," he said kindly. "Especially since it's your birthday. Happy birthday, Ren."
I thanked him softly, tucking loose strands of hair behind my ear with a smile.
After tugging at the plastic opening, he brought the hot beverage to his mouth, taking a sip. "So good," he mumbled with a smile. Setting it back down on his desk, he nodded towards the elevator.
"Alright, let's go."
We were on our way up to the CEO's select elevator and made small talk during the short ride, Mark asked what plans Harry had for me today, and I just said it was all a surprise.
I didn't want to lie, but I had to. I couldn't tell him that he'd most likely forgotten my birthday.
Careful not to tip the tray over, he hugged me goodbye as I stepped off the lift, as Harry calls it.
I was greeted with a wide smile from Iris, who was still on the phone, but the second she hung up, she pulled me into an embrace, wishing me the same thing I'd gotten from everyone except the man I loved. She also asked how my day was going and what Harry's plans were for me; again, I had to lie.
The more the day passed, the more I became frustrated and upset.
It wasn't what I deserved from him.
Was this some sort of payback I didn't give him on his birthday? But we were in an unforgettable rut. We both knew why that happened.
Harry was twenty-nine. A grown ass man who shouldn't act like a petty being.
I tried to push past that thought, though. I really had no idea what was running through his mind — that's if there was anything at all.
Handing Iris her drink, she gestured for me to head into Harry's office, but with a warning that he could still be on the phone.
My knuckles knocked lightly against the door before I entered. Harry's green eyes flickered towards me, a smile growing on his lips then quickly changed when he heard something he wasn't impressed with through the receiver against his ear. His voice raised, startling me a bit as he went off about some problem. I saw as he briefly flickered his gaze at me, shaking his head, assuming it was something related to me.
I shut the door behind me and felt my heart warm up that he wanted to assure me he would never do anything wrong in the business world again.
Unfortunately, he was chipping at it for a different reason this time.
Shrugging off my coat, I handed him his favourite tea—the London Fog—from the café, just as I'd gotten a chamomile for myself. He mouthed a 'thank you' and popped off the lid to take a sip before continuing the conversation.
Once I sat down, I took my time observing Harry in his natural element. He was so comfortable, yet stressed, but still very composed. His hair was still intact, having his fingers not yet running through it. His tie wasn't loosened yet, despite his high voice and frustration evident within it.
It was about five minutes more that he remained on the call letting out huffs and annoyed sighs. He ended it with a final "get it fucking done and get me those numbers by tomorrow at eight. No exceptions."
No please this time; but I wasn't going to pester him about it. He did not seem pleased and for sure as heck was he actually going to say it.
"Hi, baby," he said after taking a relaxing breath.
"Hi, Tiger," I greeted with a smile. "Bad day?"
"It was great, but that call just got on my last fucking nerve," he huffed. "Glad you're here, though. Always make things better. You look beautiful."
"I'm glad," I said, and blushed at the first nice thing he's told me all day. "Thank you."
He was silent after that, occasionally taking more sips from his tea as he went through some papers on his desk. Collecting several documents, he piled them up and dialled in for Iris to come and send them off wherever they needed to be.
"So, darling..." Harry started, and looked up at me. "...there's a gala being prepared for the small businesses that Urban Corp. is supporting."
"And?" I said, waiting for him to continue.
"Starlight is technically among them," he stated, and I nodded in understanding.
"So that means I'd have to attend?"
"Well..." he paused. "...yes."
I noticed a hesitation as if he wanted to say something else.
"And?"
"I was thinking that it would be nice if you and some of the people who you teach would do a performance."
Raising a brow, I asked, "Like a dance?"
Harry chuckled. "Baby, that's quite obvious. That was the intention."
I sucked my lips in. "Oh."
That's when the hesitation took over me.
"What's wrong with that? You love dancing. You're my sugar plum fairy, and dancing is in your blood," he spoke softly. "Would you not want to do it? Performing is everything to you."
"I—um—when is it?" I wondered.
"Three weeks. You have plenty of time to get something prepared."
"I know. It's just—"
"Why are you nervous? Would've thought that you'd already say yes to it. It's a wonderful opportunity for you."
"What do you mean? How so?"
Harry leaned back in his chair, clasping his hands together as he settled them on his lap. "Well, hundreds of people attend the gala. It's another way to get the studio's—and your name—out there. You could even expand if you get more students."
Tilting my head slightly, I realised what he was saying. "Expand? You mean like a franchise?"
"Yes, you could possibly do so. I've been looking over the numbers recently, and darling, you have enough money now to start another start-up. Your attendance, and performance, could get you enough money to build another studio so that you can hire even more instructors. If you'd like. Of course, you don't have to do anything if you want. These are just ideas."
Pondering, I bit my bottom lip and fiddled with my fingers.
"I want to expand, but I also love how Starlight is right now. I don't know."
"You don't have to make any decisions right now, baby. Like I said, they're just ideas. This could just be a performance, and that's all for now. I'm not pressuring you, but it's something to consider. I'd love it if you want to do it. That's a big if, love," he said, pausing. "Plus, I love seeing the way you dance. I want others to see your talent."
"Couldn't this—would—" My brows furrowed as I stumbled over my words.
"What is it, petal?"
My breath hitched at that nickname. It gave me an idea — just not what I had on my mind.
"Won't people get the ideas that we're together? Like what that interviewer once said about you only helping me because of that."
"Baby, at this point, I don't give a fuck. Everyone in this company already knows about us. For the public, it's no different to me. I'm confident in you. I'm confident in us. I love you, and I don't care. We went to the New Year's Eve event together and introduced you to some people. We've already been seen together," he explained. "The only thing they haven't seen is your dancing. The studio opening with the brief press was the most. I want people to see how fucking incredible and talented you are."
I thought deeply about everything Harry said.
He was right.
"Okay," I said quietly, then gave a firm nod. "Okay, I'll do it."
"That's my girl," he replied with a proud grin.
With that said, his focus shifted away from me, pulling me back into my thoughts.
Again, nothing that remotely acknowledged my birthday.
Sure, he was thinking about me and my future; but I just wanted my present-future to have him included. With him still on his high horse of forgetfulness, I wasn't going to get that from me.
"Oh, sweetheart? I forgot to tell you one thing," Harry's voice brought me back to reality. I met his face, seeing eyes full of warmth and love, a tender smile on his lips.
"Yeah?"
Hope. I had some hope.
"I wanted to tell you that I'm thinking about staying the night at the condo. I'll be going there tonight to get some things from my office, if you want to come."
If. If?
Oh, Harry. You are digging yourself a deep, deep grave.
Keep calm, Serenity. You'll show him later. I will not remind him today.
I'll remind him tomorrow.
And he sure as heck is not going to get a single kissy out of me for a whole week. That'll show him.
"Sure. It's been a while since we've spent a night there."
"Splendid." He grinned. "I'll have Archie get you in a couple of hours."
"Oh," I paused. "You want me to leave?"
"I'm—I have a lot of work to do and some meetings. I'll be bringing some people into my office and —"
My lips together, only to hide the quiver I felt coming. "I thought you didn't have meetings today, but I get it. That's fine. I'll leave."
"I'm sorry. Promise I'll be home the second I finish work, alright?"
"I—um, yeah, sure, whatever," I said, swallowing to try and rid the lump in my throat.
Harry was even, to put it in indirect words, "kicking me out."
I usually understood when Harry had work to do, and sometimes he was fine to let me stay or go — whichever, really. But since we got together, Harry never actually told me to leave. He was the one who asked me to meet him here. He talked about something he easily could've brought up at home or on a drive to wherever, but he told me to come to the company just to, in the end, kick me out.
An apology was never going to fix what I was truly feeling.
Without much more to say, I left with the most pathetic cheek kiss known to man.
I tried my hardest not to cry, but I couldn't stop a single tear from falling over the same spot that his lips had just touched.

As Harry said, Archie was waiting for me in front of my apartment, and drove me to the condo. He, too, wished me a happy birthday. I tried to sit up front with him once, instead of making him feel like he was my boss but just a friend, however he refused. He wouldn't allow it, and said that it was his job, and it was something that never bothered him.
The respect and confidence he had for what he did were astounding.
When he opened my door, I needed to give him a hug — one that meant a thank you and one that I just wanted a little more comfort from the pang in my heart. Archie was like another father figure in my life, just as Harry saw him. And I loved that.
One of the security guards led to the lift and rode it with me the entire way through.
The problem, this time, was that I stayed quiet, stuck in my own thoughts, and counted. It was something I didn't need to do for a very long time.
Harry was singlehandedly crushing my emotions, and he hadn't a clue about it.
A hand gestured for me to enter the condo, leaving me alone. Harry wasn't with me, and even with the decorations and knickknacks I'd placed around, it still felt empty.
At least, that was until I saw a single note folded atop the kitchen island counter.
With a deep breath, my fingers lifted it only to see three words and an initial written with a penmanship I knew very well.
The main bathroom.
H x
My brows furrowed at what he'd written, but I did what was told. I followed the path I'd made multiple times, passing through the door only to see another note on the counter.
This time, two words were written, his initial still attached.
The office.
H x
Obeying the letter, I followed the simple request and let my fingers curl around the doorknob to his office.
And with that, my jaw dropped, and my heart skipped a beat.
The light was off, and candles filled the room, illuminating the entire space. My lips sucked inward as I looked around, trying to find something else that would give an answer to what was happened.
I found that atop the desk with two pink, yet slightly purple, peonies and one more note.
Turn around.
H x
Listening to the silent demand and spun in my spot to see Harry's shadow standing barely inside the room. He was looking at me intently, carefully, lovingly.
But that was the one thing that I was confused about.
"What's going on, Harry?"
A soft hum escaped his chest, and he slowly started to walk toward me. He wore the same vivid yellow suit as he wore earlier, sans tie. The shirt had buttons undone on the top, showing a little more of his chest and the slight dusting of hair. His lips were pressed together, brows relaxed, as was his entire face. His hair was in that same smooth condition.
In his hand was a single flower, identical to the ones on the surface behind me.
Once he reached me, he raised it between us, watching as my eyes flickered between it and his face.
"Peonies, they're such a dainty flower and so delicate. They symbolize beauty, happiness, and love. All of that is what I see you as. You're my sweet blossom. A petal of it is just a single part that builds it to its fullest and most perfect state. In my eyes, they never wilt nor die. They might fade, just slightly, because that's how life is. However, it's vibrant and a showstopper.
"That's you. Everything about it, is you."
Harry paused, slowly grasping my hand so I could take hold of the stem and keep it safe to my heart.
Emerald gems sparkled against my sapphires. The flames around us flickered delicately, lighting that glimmering bucket of every word.
Every. Single. Word.
And more.
"This is the third one," he spoke quietly. "I would've gotten you ten dozens and more, but your favourite number is three — lucky, too. I thought it'd fit better."
His voice was vulnerable and sweet, feeling the thoughtfulness in what he did.
He was right. My favourite and lucky number is three.
I could sense tears begin to fill my ducts, and it was only a matter of time before I was going to be a sobbing mess.
"Serenity Marie Hayes, you are the gift given to this entire world. Anyone that knows you will say the exact same thing. I can't emphasize enough how much you mean to me. No matter what I do, nothing will come close to it. Es, baby, you're everything to me."
"Oh, Harry..." I whispered, my hand covered my mouth as I listened to him.
He shushed me softly while saying "No tears," his thumb gently caressing my cheek to wipe away a lone droplet.
"You've made me a mess. No tears, he says," I mumbled stupidly, and Harry chuckled, drawing himself even closer to me.
"Can't cry on your birthday. Can you, petal?"
"Y-you—"
"Happy birthday, baby love," Harry said with a soft smile.
"Y-you remembered," I replied with a gasp, tears filling my eyes as I looked at him with utter warmth.
Harry was gleaming with love, and I just wanted to take a dip in his gaze, then drown in it forever.
"Of course, I remembered. How could I forget?"
My focus then fell to the ground, feeling my cheeks flood with warmth as I processed everything. A hand settled on my hip, and the other cupped the back of my neck, leaning in to place a kiss upon my lips.
But as he was just mere inches away, I pulled back.
And then smacked his hands away with a scowl on my face.
Harry looked up at me, appalled—yet, not entirely surprised.
"You're an asshole," I seethed.
"What? Why?" he said with a grin on his face—a grin that shouldn't have made an appearance.
"Really, Harry? Don't be daft," I mocked. "I've been twenty-six for seventeen hours. Seventeen! And you've just acknowledged that. And you made it seem like you forgot. That's not nice."
He just chuckled.
"Oh, yeah. Chuckle away, big boy," I mumbled, and he burst into a fit of laughter.
"C'mere," he spoke, tugging me towards him.
Crossing my arms, peony still in hand, I shook my head. I refused to do what he said anymore.
"No."
He raised a brow. "No?"
"That's what I said, isn't it? Maybe you should get your ears checked, old man."
He pursed his lips together with a single nod, and I thought I held my ground.
But Harry had other plans—he quickly snatched my waist, and hoisted me over his shoulder as he made his way to our bedroom.
Smacking his bum multiple times hard, I yelled out for him to stop, but he had no remorse.
Throwing me on the bed, he straddled my waist, I shifted under him and tried to get him off — but again, he wouldn't budge.
"If you keep struggling like that, you know what'll happen," he threatened firmly, and I immediately stopped. My wrists were spread out beside my body, his hands atop them so that I couldn't move anywhere.
And Harry, well, he just grinned.
Tickling me. It's what he knew best with me—or least, when I was fully clothed.
I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Get off."
"No."
"Why might that be, sir not-forgets-a-lot?"
He blinked twice, trying to understand what I'd said, but he just shook his head. "That very much doesn't fit well, sweetheart."
I huffed. "Great. I don't care. Get off."
"Don't think so, love. On the contrary, I quite like you like this." He smirked.
"Keep smirking like that, and you'll end up without lips."
"You'll have nothing to kiss then." Harry pouted playfully, and I glared at him.
"Harry?"
"Yes, darling?"
"Go fuck yourself."
Harry smirked at me. "Don't have to do that with you around. Only when I'm travelling, love. Obsessed with those late-night talks of ours."
Appalled, I gasped at his bluntness, and he just laughed at me.
"Alright, alright," Harry said, shifting over to lie by his side, raising his arms in surrender. "You win, baby."
I watched his every move, seeing that same monumental expression painted on his face. He was prettier than the Mona Lisa and deserved to be seen in every museum known to man. But it was hard to stay mad at someone like him.
But I wasn't giving in—not just yet.
"What's on your mind, love?" he said, his tone the polar opposite of what it was minutes ago. It was soft, gentle, tender, sweet, conniving, and sneaky.
With that same delicate smile he loves so much, I glanced at him warmly.
His eyes were curious, waiting to hear what I had to say.
So I said it.
"I'm thinking of how many ways I can kill you."
"Ouch," he said with a smile, biting his bottom lip. "That's harsh."
"Yeah, no shit," I deadpanned. "That's the point, idiot."
"There's my feisty girl I love so much."
And those words hit me deep down inside, feeling my entire firm demeanour drop and that I couldn't help but let out the softest whimper. My gaze moved off of him, wrapping my arms around my chest. Because it wasn't just me that he hurt, it was my heart.
"Why?" I whispered, my lips quivering as tears gathered in my eyes.
Harry was sharp on the spot as he pulled himself up and tugged me close.
"Fuck, baby, no. Don't cry. Shit. I'm sorry. I didn't mean—I just—I wanted to rile you up a bit. I don't know. It seemed like a good idea at the time."
I tried to stop the few tears falling down my cheeks, and he caught every single one.
"Bad idea."
"I know that now. Shit, please stop crying. I'm sorry. I'm so fucking stupid," he rushed out.
My gaze still refused to meet his, as desperate as it wanted to, I just couldn't. It hurt far too much, even though I heard his apologises echo loud in my ears, deafening them.
"A CEO who has a master's degree, yet is stupid as a brick," I grumbled, shutting my eyes tightly in attempt to stop me from crying further.
"Essie, sweetheart, forgive me. Please. Yes, I'm an idiot. I won't do it again. I fucked up so bad. I had it all planned. Just—fuck. I'm so sorry," he breathed deeply, pulling me closer. "I'm a prick, not a brick."
Somehow, that made me let out a single snort.
"You rhymed," I commented.
"Never meant to, but if it'll make you laugh, I'm also a dick."
And that got me to laugh in his hold.
"Thankfully, a man who knows how to be slick," I spoke, wiping my face with the back of my hand.
"I just wish my brain would work a little more quick..." he paused, and raised a brow. "...quick-ly?"
"You broke the chain, Tiger," I replied softly, and saw as his eyes lit up as I met his gaze.
"I'm still your tiger. Fuck yes," he spoke lowly. "Thank you. I'm sorry."
"Count your blessings, Harry," I said, keeping a firm tone. "You're lucky I'm even forgiving you for this."
"Always with you," he replied with the softest voice and emerald eyes gazing deep into my soul. I felt every ounce of truth in his words, which hit me hard.
It was challenging to keep up a façade with him — but I had to keep my head strong.
"Alright, enough of your apologies," I huffed with a mock frown.
"Never. C'mere," he said softly, and brought me to properly sit in his lap, my legs straddling him. "I'm so sorry I hurt you. Didn't mean to. I love you, darling. Beautiful. So fucking beautiful. My sweet love."
My fingers curled in the strands around his neck, and his eyes fluttered shut, relishing in the feeling.
"You know, with what you did, you better have gotten me a hell of a good gift," I spoke confidently, and he simply chuckled. "Better be good enough to deserve my kissy's."
However, the second his gaze caught mine, I saw the hesitation and nervousness through them. Nonetheless, he nodded.
"I hope so," he said quietly. "But not now. In a little bit."
I huffed, only because I thought seventeen hours was more than just 'a little bit.'
"Time seems to be doing very well in your favour," I deadpanned.
"Loving the sarcasm, Es."
"I've been twenty-six for..." I glanced quickly at the quirky cat clock sitting on the dresser. "...eighteen hours now. You have six more to go before the day's over," I stated simply. "It better get better."
Harry let out a soft hum before giving a single nod. "Point taken, and it will. Trust me. Let's have dinner."
Raising a brow, I mumbled under my breath. "Trust you, that's a joke."
But I sighed and regarded his second point. "Have? Like, as in it's already made? As in, you cook—"
I was interrupted by his palm landing firmly against my mouth to stop me from finishing.
"Ha-ha, very funny, darling. Now, c'mon," he said, removing his hand with a smirk.
Slowly, he pulled me up with him and stood me in front of him. Long gone was his smug look, but only nerves showcased all over his face. He suddenly seemed anxious and insecure. I told him he was still mine and assured him that, but there was still hesitation about something.
And then he spoke in a quiet whisper.
"Can—can I hug you?"
Break my heart, would you now, Harry?
Swallowing thickly, I let out a deep breath as I kept my composure and straightened my back. "Do you deserve it?"
"Absolutely the fuck not."
Satisfied with his reply, I tightly wrapped my arms around him, keeping him close. Harry enveloped me, bundling me like the red stripes on a candy cane.
This was the embrace I wished I had gotten when I woke up. This was the embrace I needed before he went to work, even when I visited him at the office. I wanted to be held by the man I loved deeply on my birthday.
But he deprived me of that just because he thought it was a 'good idea at the time.' The man definitely needed to work on how he wanted to surprise people.
Once we parted, his palm delicately cupped my cheek, and I leaned into his soft touch.
"You know, self-awareness is a very important thing to have."
Harry nodded. "It's definitely noted, baby girl."
His nicknames truly had me melting inside.
Stay strong, Serenity.
The two of us exited the bedroom, hands adjoined as we entered the kitchen. Harry pulled a few things out of the fridge, prepared and ready. He turned the oven on, telling me we'd have to wait a bit longer. He would've had it done, but he didn't want the smell to ruin the surprise.
To my surprise, he was the one who made the meal — a roast with baked potatoes, and salad on the side. When I asked him if he truly made it all by himself, he scratched the back of his neck anxiously and revealed that it was, but Linda was there for supervision. Basically, she stood by the sidelines, and it made me smile.
It was also the reason why he kicked me out of the office because he had to come here and prepare the food. Apparently, he had a lot of things planned in his mind, but the execution of actually being thoughtful and making it memorable was an absolute dud.
Nonetheless, the food was the best he's ever made, and I felt so proud of him. The face he made when I told him that was positively heartwarming and made my insides want to cuddle him up. Whenever Harry's confidence is boosted, my love for him only increases.
After I said it, giving me a wide pearly white smile, he sat up from his chair to lean forward and place a sweet kiss on my cheek. I couldn't help but give him a soft expression, cup his face and mimic his action.
With that said, he also set up the dinner table for us. Candles, plate settings, the whole nine yards. He seemed pretty impressed with himself — as was I.
Harry said that being in a wealthy home, seeing how everything was fancily plated, the sight was engraved in his mind. But he'd never actually done it until today.
He also said he baked my birthday cake by himself — again, with supervision by...drum roll please...my dad.
When I'd seen my parents earlier, he definitely did not mention anything about seeing Harry; even when he asked about him, there wasn't a hint of a lie in his question.
It turned out that Julian Hayes actually had a superpower — lying.
Harry simply giggled when he saw how my eyes widened.
No one could blame me.
And just like dinner, the dark chocolate cake was incredibly delicious. The flavour melted on my tongue, simply heaven in a bite. It wasn't decorated professionally, nowhere near it, but it was still beautiful. I saw the love that Harry had with making it — especially in the purple hearts around my nickname: Essie.
After a little argument on cleaning up, we decided to take care of them together; I put the leftovers in Tupperware, and he placed the plates and whatnots in the dishwasher.
"Team effort, baby!" he'd yelled cutely, giving me a high-five. When he saw that I didn't budge, he grabbed my wrist and did it himself.
It was precious.
But with all of this, he still wasn't off the hook.
Once we'd settled comfortably on the couch, half-way drinking through our mugs of hot cocoa he'd made for us, he suddenly spoke up.
"Come with me," Harry said softly, tugging lightly on my arm.
My brow raised at his sudden request. He simply hushed me and picked at my arm once more. And with that, I followed him as he entered the bedroom.
Harry pulled out a couple of sweaters — one for himself and the other for me. He remained silent as our fingers intertwined and led me out of the condo, then up towards another area that had my heart beating quick.
I was well aware of the direction he was taking me in, the stairs quite familiar, and the ones I missed climbing.
Pulling at his hand, he looked at me with an anxious expression. Then, with a deep breath, he pushed through the steel doors to the place we both loved dearly.
A chilly breeze hit us, feeling our bodies shiver from the light touch against our skin. The sun had dipped beneath the horizon, darkness filling the once light blue sky. The moon and stars teamed up to hover, scattered in perfect harmony. The birds were deep into their slumber, awaiting dawn to rise again. The sounds of traffic were faint but not a surprise on a late Monday evening.
Bright light caught my gaze as I turned to see the setup that wasn't there the last time I'd come up.
"Harry, w-what is this?" I said, tone in utter awe.
"Happy birthday, baby love," he spoke, moving to stand in front of me before placing his lips on my forehead. The gentle touch lingered against my skin, feeling as his hands smoothed up the sides of my arms.
"At least, it's part of it." He grinned.
"Part of it?"
"Yeah," he mumbled, scratching the back of his neck. "You don't just deserve one gift, Essie. I'd give you the world if I could."
My lips curled upwards, then pressed a kiss to his cheek.
"I don't know whether to be happy or still mad at you," I said with a short chuckle.
"The former is what I'm hoping for," he shyly replied.
I was delighted and looking forward to what more Harry had planned, but I also wanted him to live through his nerves for a while. So I decided to make it a tad hard on him.
"I think I'll keep it neutral for now. You'll have to work for it."
"In that case, let me give it to you. I'll treat you so good," he said, and somehow, I felt that there was a hidden meaning behind that.
I decided not to comment on his subtle innuendo.
Our hands united again, and he tugged me along as he showed me everything he'd prepared.
Fairy lights were strung along the sides, a path lit with faux candles — he commented that he didn't particularly want to cause a fire since it was all unattended. Moonbeams, coneflowers, Baptistas, along with others were still thriving as it neared the end of the winter season.
My eyes couldn't contain the burst of joy that I had as they observed everything surrounding us. I could feel him watching my every movement and stare; he was waiting for a comment or anything I had to say.
The flower garden was gleaming brightly through the windows, the chime ringing as we stepped inside, feeling a slight temperature change.
My lips slightly parted as they flickered over to every pot. Pink peonies and tulips, rose-toned and Dutch, each were placed in the spot they were meant to be — and they filled the room. It felt like I was walking into a fairytale meant just for me.
Three was my lucky number, but infinity was next, and that's just how everything seemed around me.
"These—"
Harry stepped from behind to face me. Pure love was flushed on his cheeks, emerald eyes sparkling in that same desperate emotion. His bottom lip was taken between his pearly whites in a shy smile.
"Yeah, these are my favourite flowers and yours. I know that today is all about you, but I couldn't imagine my life without you. Every time I closed my eyes, I'd see sapphires. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw the pinkness in your cheeks. Every time I closed my eyes, I'd see those flowers that got your attention — peonies. Those are what I see when I look at your lips. I'm selfish, I know, but every time I close my eyes, I see us walking together anywhere and everywhere.
"I never lied when I told you that you're everything to me, Serenity. Not once has my love for you faded or gone dull over the past few months. Rather, it's grown and gone to the extent that I didn't even know it was possible. I could never love anyone else the same way."
Harry took another step closer to me, taking my hands into his as he rested his forehead against mine.
I could feel his breath heavy against my skin, tingling in excitement and the sweet sensation of lust attached.
"I'm so fucking in love with you, Essie, and I'm so fucking glad I'm yours," he whispered softly. "Please. Please can I have a kissy? I'm sorry, but I'm so desperate for you right now."
"With those words, you earned it," I replied with a warm smile.
And before I knew it, his lips were on mine, kissing me so deeply and passionately that it took my breath away.
Everything about the kiss was phenomenal, from how I felt my bottom lip being tugged every so often as he parted slightly for air to how his tongue danced closely with mine.
Sensual, fervour, erotic, and delicate.
That was the order of our lip-lock.
His hands were tight on my hips, alternating his hold by squeezing gently and firmly. They occasionally travelled to smooth all along my spine, making my body tingle and causing my heart to skip a beat.
"So you're mine, eh?" I teased quietly just as we parted for a breath.
"Darling, I will never own you, but you own me and every part of it," he replied before stealing another kiss from me.
"Well, just for the record..." I paused, "...I'm yours too."
Some pillows and blankets were set up in the corner on the ground, a perfectly cosy setup. He'd carefully laid me down, him right behind me. It wasn't all that late, but a perfect time for him to hold me.
We kept quiet as his fingertips danced around the tops of my hands as I captured his grasp. Occasionally, he'd press soft kisses at the side of my neck, humming slightly as he pulled me even closer to him.
And that's what broke my rigid walls down. Feeling the love he had for me through soft, gentle touches and declared devotions whispered against my skin.
Everything was innocent, but then it wasn't.
I turned around and gave him all control and reigns to my body, mind, soul, and heart. His dominance kicked in, but he was still so incredibly delicate with me. He touched every part of me in the most erotically and beautiful ways possible.
On the floor of his favourite place, he took his favourite girl and treated me righteously, knowing exactly what I loved, and made me feel like I was floating. Our clothes were in a puddle next to us, surrounding our bare bodies.
It was special and meaningful for both of us.
Everything about these moments was an absolute dream.
"You're a dream."
"I'm so lucky to have you."
"I'm such an asshole. I'm sorry."
"I don't deserve you."
"Stunning. Always so fucking stunning."
All of those came out of his lips, spoken so softly and delicately as he kissed every part of me.
"You're all I want forever," Harry whispered, almost to himself, mumbling those words in the crook of my neck.
Five words. That's all it took to send me into a new universe of pure bliss.
I don't even think that Harry noticed how he said it. He was far gone, hit into a raw world of ecstasy.
"Fuck, Essie. You're going to kill me one day," he spoke through heavy pants. One hand never letting go of my waist, the other barely holding himself above me.
"You're one to talk." I laughed breathlessly.
"Give me a couple minutes, yeah? You good?" His voice was mumbled as he mumbled against the crook of my neck, moving slightly to press a soft kiss on my bare shoulder.
"Very."
And honestly, who wouldn't be?

After we'd dressed in the flower house, Harry collected some of the blooms so he could bring some with us. When we returned to the condo, and he gave me a couple of actual gifts.
Apparently, Harry had searched more about 'gift-giving for your special someone,' and crossed back to Etsy once more. The terms he used were positively sweet.
But what was also sweet was the dark chocolate he had someone specifically make me from a company he knew in Belgium. They added a hint of lavender to the tangy rich flavour, which was absolutely mouth-watering. The wrapper was also personally designed to have 'Essie' written on it with a couple of flowers next to my name.
When I saw it, he just smiled slightly and shrugged. "It's good to have connections."
I kissed his dimple and saw how his cheeks flushed pink.
The online gift was a handmade candle with the scent of rose and vanilla. This time 'Serenity' was written on the label, and when I asked why, he said that those are scents that give him a sense of serenity and calmness.
I then proceeded to mock him about the same aroma he smelled in Starlight the first time he came to see it and said it was mold. Harry scowled and said that he was 'joking' at the time. We both knew he wasn't.
Later on, though, we discovered that the studio was clean at the time but had a small area that wasn't so. We guessed that that was the thing Harry was actually smelling.
He was a sure stickler for sour scents.
I simply laughed and kissed him once more before grabbing another bit of chocolate. He then told me that since I loved it so much, I could have as many as possible. The company saved the recipe and asked that — if Harry permits — they could use it as a specialty flavour. He replied by telling them it wasn't his decision to make.
But mine.
When I found out, I told him I'd let him know another time.
And then, it wasn't much longer before we were stripped again. Harry's stamina had gone through the roof, and I couldn't blame him — again, nor was I complaining. Sure, I would've liked to have the reigns, especially after what he did, but the way he treated me was something I could take away from myself.
If he was going to be my gift, once and twice, I would very much let him.
So I did.
As seconds and hours passed, busy in the sheets, we were just minutes away from midnight to strike. Tangled up in Harry's arms, giving me all the attention and love I needed, I felt perfectly at home.
His breathing was slow as he gently caressed my bare shoulder with his fingers. Mine danced along the skin of his chest before moving to intertwine them together.
Something then crossed my mind.
"Harry?" I called his name, and he hummed softly as I looked up to meet his eyes. "I don't know if you noticed, but you said you wanted me forever. What did you mean by that?"
Once the words left my mouth, I immediately regretted asking him that question.
You're such an idiot, Serenity.
Harry shifted slightly, and I watched as his content expression lifted into an eager grin.
"I thought it was obvious," he simply said, the corners of his lips tugged happily.
I blinked a couple of times, waiting for him to elaborate, but I got nothing.
"What's obvious?"
"That I want to marry you."
I choked on a breath, and he looked at me like I was ridiculous.
"Sorry, what? Y-you want to marry me?"
His lips pursed, a grin still prominent on them.
"Sweetheart, you want me to book you an appointment for a hearing aid? Old age doesn't suit you."
Cheeky man.
Huffing, I replied, "No."
"Then what?"
"Was that a proposal...or what?"
"No, love. That wasn't a proposal," Harry clarified.
"So—" My brow raised slightly as I tried to continue.
But he didn't let me.
Instead, he raised a very, very slow smirk.
"You'll know when it happens, sweetheart."
And that was the very last thing he said on my birthday, just before the clock switched its date to the next.
...
A/N:
So...yeah, Harry said that.
If you were expecting a proposal as a birthday gift...well...soz.
Ain't he super sweet. Even though writing that it just made me want to knee him where it hurts.
But it's all so mushy and adorbs. Harry finally having a family (and the way he hugged Luna after meeting with Estela, yeah I cried). The gifts and what he gave her, it's just so precious.
And I'm just excited for that performance, aren't you? Any guesses as to what might happen?
So what did y'all dig the chapter? It was filled with a ton of stuff. What was your favourite part and all? Y'know me and my curious self.
When will the next chapter will be up? Well, I'm still quite busy so I don't know. However, it is very much in progress...😌
And ooh, pretty please press on that little star on the chapter, I mean, it only takes a millisecond. They're nice gifts and make me (and Essie...and Harry) happy.
Kissy, stay golden, and always TPWK my beautiful tulips 🌷
