Anger Issues

All the happiness had drained out of his system, replaced only with a fiery fire of anger. He hadn't eaten or slept properly for Four days, working incessantly to paint this picture, only to have it ruined by a pest.  He worked heart and soul in order to bring life in this painting and when it finally turned out as he wanted it to, it got ruined by someone's carelessness. All his hard work and sacrifice dishonored in a blink of n eye.

Marcello's sadness and sorrow had depleted, leaving behind apit of unease and vacancy and anger surging through his veins. The blood was screaming in his ears and his whole body was trembling in a feeble effort of containing his rage and trying not to rip the boy to a million tiny pieces.

Under his 6'2 towering height and red bloodshot eyes, the child looked like a tiny mouse squeaking in agony. The boy stood terrified under Marcello's piercing gaze as his legs shook like Jello beneath him. Compared to the kid, Marcello was like Frankenstein : TALL, BOLD , CRUEL and VERY VERY ANGRY!

"I am so sorry, Sir." the child pleaded.

Ignoring his flaring nostrils, Marcello asked, "Whats your name, child?"

"Vincent.Vi..Vin..Vincent Hawker."

"And what are you here for?" Marcello demanded, seizing Vincent by his narrow shoulders.

Vincent brought out his other hand, balancing a pie on it. It smelled heavenly; golden-ish brown bread topped with fresh whipped cream and sprinkled with red cherries. After so  many days of staying half-starved, Marcello's stomach grew numb with hunger. The scent of a freshly baked pie had the power to calm anyone's nerves and make them beg for a bite. Marcello want to have a slice so badly and feast on the whole pie. His anger subsided and for a second he  ALMOST smiled but as soon as his eyes wandered to his ruined Masterpiece, his heart sank yet again. He forced his tears to stay at bay and then his uncontrollable rage took over him.

He snatched the pie and slammed it upon the stool, glaring. Then with trembling hands, he picked up Vincent over his head in a swift manner and threw him across the room with a mighty yet strangled howl. He wasn't in his right mind, all he wanted to do was avenge his creation.

Vincent flew across the room to the narrow corridor, hit his hand on the hard wall with a *THUMP* and sprawled lifelessly on the yellow floor. Marcello's mind cleared and for a second his mind wondered about the worst and he stood up straight in fear , "Was the child alive?"

Just then, he heard a groan and sighed in relief. Then Marcello walked to the stool, picked up the plate and sat down comfortably, helping himself to a delicious piece of pie. Marcello didn't bother picking up Vincent nor did he call anyone to help the kid. As minutes passed by, Vincent started kicking his legs and making huge sob sounds, but that didn't budge Marcello from his seat. He kept helping himself to pieces of the pie and watched the boy with his eyes narrowed.

Meanwhile, Vincent's mother got worried about her son. She looked outside the kitchen window to still see no sign of him. She put down the bowl of cherries, rubbed her hand on the dish towel and rushed to the painter's cottage. When she reached the door, she thought of knocking but later decides to just go in anyways when she finds the door unlocked. She steps in to find her son in the corridor, sprawled on the floor, howling in pain. Gasping she rushes to him and finds Marcello eating her home-made bye and smiling at her son. She picked Vincent up, cradling him in her arms and asked Marcello what had happened. Marcello refused to talk so she exited the cottage without further hassle.

She sat down on the step of the cottage and patiently listened to Vincent's story, caressing him gently. By the time she figured out that her son had broken his right hand which was bent at an extremely odd and painful angle, most of the townspeople had gathered to see what the fuss was about.

Mrs.Ivanne Hawker bawled her eyes out while the others took it as their own duty to call the best local doctor available. Everyone knew about Marcello's short temper thus they always preferred to avoid any communication with him but this time, he had gone way too far. Everyone thought that he must be punished and taught a lesson so the police was informed.
