After spending these entire time thinking, I knew I had to speak with Annie and come to an agreement. She wasn't talking to me, and I wasn't sure how to approach her, same goes for Khloe.

The two women in my life at the moment were mad at me, and would I blame them? Except one was making an unreasonable request from me.

She was right there watching TV while eating cereals, she hadn't left the suite all day as well, she had been stuck on the couch all day. That was unlike Annie but all I could do was blame it on her injury.

"Annie darling" I said slowly heading for where she sat.

"Don't give me that crap Chris! Things are dangerous and that is how far I can say to you. I just wish after all of these years, you could trust me and do what I say. If you don't, it's all on you". She told me not looking at me once.

I could not figure out what she meant by "dangerous".

"What is dangerous Annie?" I asked her

"I said just trust me Chris! Don't ask questions" she yelled at me, this time looking me straight in the eyes.  For a moment I could've sworn I saw fear in her eyes.

"Did my mom threaten you? What did she say she would do this time?" I asked almost laughing. That's all I could think of, my mom and her empty threats.

"Chris, really? You can laugh all you want but I'm serious here!" She said and walked out on me.

I sighed! This is getting too much for me, if this was my mom's doing because of the book signing incident then she would get it from me. I really don't like all of these craziness.

KHLOE DIAMOND

I arrived at the restaurant where Mr. Clifford had wanted to meet since he refused coming to my office. He has so much pride for someone who just wants to propose an idea. An idea the board might not even consider.

Looking through the crowded restaurant which didn't seem like the best place for a business meeting due to possible distractions, I finally found what seemed like might be him.

Pat was too lazy to send me his background check I asked her to dig up, now I don't even know who it was I was meeting with.

I headed towards the only possible person in here, he was in a suit and on the table before him was a file and whatever drink he already ordered.

"Hi, I'm Khloe Diamond. Mr. Clifford I assume". I said but he just stared at me like he was in some other planet other than Earth.

"Sir!" I said louder than I had wanted to.

Thankfully, he returned to this planet and shook his head.

"I'm Williams Houston but you look different from what I have here". He replied opening the file in front of him.

He brought out a persons details and the picture was definitely not me. Just some mediocre looking young lady.

Wrong person!

"I'm sorry, you ain't who I wanted to see". I told him and made an attempt to leave but he held me back quickly.

What the fuck is the issue with him?

If I wasn't in a terrible mood thanks to you know who, I might have given him a better reception.

"You don't seem to be my blind date but fate happens in different ways, don't you think?" He asked and I could only laugh.

Okay, I won't lie, he is a very handsome young man. His voice was a little husky but in a way I loved it. I can tell from his look that he was from a well off family.

How did I ever mistake him for a mere job seeker?

"I'm sorry but today and fate doesn't exactly seem like a thing, if you would allow me, I have a meeting". I told him and made a move to leave only to bump into something or someone.

I looked up to see whoever it was, it happened to be just who he was expecting.

Nice!

"I'm sorry" I muttered and was going to leave when she pulled me back. What was it with today?

I couldn't help but wonder if these two would let me go find Mr. Clifford in peace.

Looking up at her, she looked pissed like she was ready to hit me at any fucking time. I wonder what was her problem, if it was because I bumped into her, I apologized already after all.

"Who are you?" She asked me.

I scoffed at her. What was her business with who I was? I had no business with her just as she had none with me.

"Not a business of yours, excuse me". I told her and attempted to leave but she pulled me again.

I was almost forced to give her a slap but I managed to control my temper. Today wasn't her day, I thought.

"You were here holding hands with my man, I demand to know who you are". She stated proudly.

I stared at her from her head down to her toe and back up again. I remembered the man mentioning blind date earlier and laughed. Giving him a look, he just shrugged and tried pulling her hand away from me but she brushed his away and stood her ground against me.

"Your man? Last I remember weren't you supposed to be on a blind date? You already claiming him to be yours and being so overly protective. Good luck on your blind date" I told her and left laughing at her.

What a day!

I went out to call Pat, hoping she'd have the details I needed, as I awaited Pat's response, I saw the man from earlier storm off the restaurant with the lady hot on his heels. I shook my head for her.

"Hey Pat, where is Mr. Clifford's details?" I asked her.

"I'm so sorry ma'am, I would send it to you immediately but there is a bad news tho".
she said

"What happened?" I asked her

"He cancelled last minute saying our boss already contacted him and he made his proposal already". She told me.

What a waste of time, I thought as I ended the call. I already hate this Mr. Clifford!

Sorry it took a while to give an update, I have been really busy and wasn't in the right state to write. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
