Kelvin and I was having a nice Saturday, it's been two weeks since Chris failed to show up for our date, since Annie's incident, since he ran out of my office for Annie, since he hasn't contacted me. Whatever his reasons were, I was no longer interested.

We were in the kitchen making California rolls, he seemed to really like it and had been begging me to help him in making it.

Actually, I prefer buying sushi if I ever decided to eat it but in his words homemade sushi is the best and can only be trusted. Whatever gave him that idea.

It's been hours since we started and we weren't done yet.

"This is really draining, how did I ever agree to do this with you?" I asked him, to which he replied with a smile.

"My cuteness was all I needed" he said and smile even cuter.

"Stop being so cute you dummy" I replied him and we both laughed.

I would probably give my entire life to him if he ever smiled and I was too scared to that happening.

"We are almost done, stop complaining" he told me, a statement that earned him a eye roll.

We heard the door ring and I was quick to go check on whoever it was.

"Running from duties hoping it's Chris" he teased as I ran to the door.

I'm actually ashamed to admit he was right either ways. Believe me, my hopes were shattered the moment I saw Hilda standing right at my door step.

The hopes I had were replaced with worry and tons of questions as my best friend stood in front of my house with three boxes and her teddy on her right hand. That wasn't exactly an issue, except she was covered in bruises.

"What happened to you" I yelled catching Kelvin's attention.

"What's wrong?" He asked running down to the door. I could tell he was also worried for Hilda, after all he was really close to my friends as well.

I remember him having a big crush on Hilda a long time ago. A really big crush he outgrew in college.

"Can I come in at least?" Hilda asked and we both ushered  her in.

"Get her boxes into the guest room". I instructed Kelvin who was quite reluctant to do so, he wanted to be here, to know what happened to her, to ask his billion questions but I also wanted to do the same.

"Hilda, what happened?" I asked sitting right next to her.

"It's Tommy, I found out he was cheating and when I confronted him, he hit me and send me out of the house". She cried.

Tommy was her boyfriend of six years, he suggested she moved in with him three years ago on their third anniversary. She was really happy as we gladly helped her move her things.

Those two had been my model couple for years, he loved her with all of his heart or we thought he did.

"That's insane!" I told her and she only nodded in tears.

Kelvin who had gone upstairs returned quickly and asked me what happened. I mouthed Tommy to him and he dashed out of the house.

Maybe I made a mistake!

"Kelvin" I yelled as I ran after him but he was gone, he driver out of the driveway in a rush.

I was more scared of him getting into an accident more than anything, I wasn't ready to lose yet another person in my life.

"Kelvin just went to Tommy's' I guess" I told Hilda.

She got up from her seated position quickly in fear. I began wondering when Tommy scared her this much and how I was her best friend and couldn't tell she was going through any of this! I was probably too busy making them worry about my own love life, if I had any.

"It is fine, Kelvin is a good fighter". I told her but if I was being sincere, I was just consoling myself.

"You don't know Tommy, he would practically kill him Khloe. He is changed! He is like a different person, I just...." She cried unable to finish off her words.

All I could do was hold her in my arms and console her while I also hoped Kelvin return in one piece.

When I was done treating Hilda's wounds, I served her some of the sushi Kelvin and I made which was surprisingly better than any I had ever bought. I bet Kelvin was truly good at make sushi.

"Do you think you would be fine? I mean six years and this". I asked her

"I don't know, maybe, maybe not! I just can't still believe this happened for real" she replied.

"I'm sorry, we should Fiona, don't you think?"

"I did, she said she was out of town for something".

A part of me was jealous of the fact that she had called Fiona before me. I guess they actually were closer to each other than to me.

"I'm more worried about Kelvin right now than myself" she said and as if he was summoned, we heard him drive right back just the same way he did when he left.

He stormed in and I could see the anger that boiled inside of him. He'd do worse if I were ever in that situation.

A slight bruise on the corner of his lip caught my attention the moment he walked in which made me rush over to him.

"Are you okay?" I asked him while I guided him to sit and got the first aid box which was still on the table.

"I had to go show him what it was like to be hit. What bastard lays his hands on a woman?" He replied me. "Ahhh" he winced in pain as I applied ointment on his bruise.

"Sorry and thanks" Hilda told him and he replied with a tight lipped smile and a nod.

"He doesn't deserve you! I'm sure you would find someone better" I told her.

"Right, you'd be fine in no time" Kelvin added.

He sighted the plate in front of Hilda and his mind probably went back to the sushi. The look on his face was indescribable.

"Don't tell me you both ate it all while I was risking this million dollar face to fight on your behalf". He said.

"I'm sorry, Hilda was really hungry" I teased him.

"After all.... ahhhhh" he complained, throwing his legs and hands in protest.

Not wanting to believe me, he ran off to the kitchen.

"You are so dead Khloe" he yelled from the kitchen, I thought he was kidding until he appeared with a knife.

I jumped off where I sat and began running for my dear life. He wouldn't stab me though but you can't be too safe.

"I'm sorry okay, I was just teasing you" I told him but he wouldn't stop chasing me.

We ran round the whole living room while Hilda watched us laughing like crazy. I couldn't believe she found this funny, wasn't she crying some moment ago?

FINALLY, Kelvin calmed his balls and managed devour the rest of the sushi, well, not after offering some to Hilda which she turned down, breaking his heart. I know he feigned hurt but he did seem like he was slightly hurt.

Yes, a double update! I'm thinking of adding one or two more. I'm not sure yet.

What do you think of Kelvin and Khloe's relationship?

Do you think Kelvin's long time crush had really been outgrown? I mean can a person outgrown their crush like clothes?

Maybe love really does have an expiration date then! Or what do you think?

Oh and Hilda, who else feels really sorry for her?

Wait oooo, why has Chris not contacted either Khloe or us, I mean where did his POV disappear to? Lol!
