~Chapter 2~
As you followed the vines, you found the distance between you and Snowdin grow greater and greater. It went from thirty minutes to an hour... from an hour to three.... continuing quickly through time as though it melted away. Your legs grew numbs in the cold and your arms curled around your torso to try and create friction. You shivered violently, starting to slow.
"Hey, are we almost there?" You asked.
The vines stopped and turned in your direction. "Are you growing weak?"
You made a so-so sign with your hand. "It's not really that I'm growing weak, more that I'm freezing. I'm about to fall to frostbite."
"Oh! We can't have that! Let me help you."
The vine seemed to multiply and thicken, appearing before you rapidly. They wrapped you and lifted you from the ground. It's like you were sitting in a moving chair, large leaves layered over you like blankets.
"We wouldn't want you to freeze to death! I'll help you the rest of the way, just try to retain your body heat."
"Oh, uh, thanks..."
"Don't worry, it's not much farther away!"
You nodded, curling your knees against your chest as you rode the vines. Sure enough, it was only another half an hour before you were pulled to your destination. Before you stood a log cabin, vines seeming to hold it together the tight fitting wood. All of the vines led through the open door of the the front. In front of the door, the vines dropped you on your feet. They retreated into the house and mysterious voice spoke again.
"Go ahead and close the door. We don't want all of the heat to escape now do we?"
You nodded and closed the door behind you, then looked at the home. There were any fur skins around so that was a good sign. Direct in front of you was a hallway with four rooms branching off it. To the left was a small kitchen and to the right was a large empty space with a fire place connected to the chimney.
Your eyes followed after the vines as they trailed back into a room. "Go ahead and come in. It's about time we met."
You followed the vines cautiously and approached the door, pushing it back slightly. It seemed like all the vines had disappeared magically in an instant. "What?" You mumbled.
"Open the door a little more (Y/N), I'm a tiny fella!"
Obeying, you swung the door open and looked around. Your eyes caught on a single golden bloom that smiled at you.
"Howdy, I'm Flowey the Flower." He greeted.
"F-Flowey?! What're you doing here?! You're supposed to be-"
"Hold on a moment (Y/N)! Save your stuttering for after I've explained everything."
"What?"

You sat cross-legged and ran a hand through your hair ruggedly, taking a deep breath and closing your eyes as you processed. "Okay, so in short, in this universe, you're a good monster. By retaining more traits of the ORIGINAL Asriel before becoming Flowey, you became a peaceful monster. You were observing me from a afar because you sensed something off about me and just happened to be able to talk to me after I died in my last run."
Flowey grinned. "You got it down pat!" He encouraged.
Shaking your head, you looked at Flowey, dumbfounded. "So why am I here now?" You asked.
"To fulfill your wish!" Flowey chirped.
"My wish?"
Flowey nodded. "As we've established, I'm a helping monster, different from however your Flowey is. I recognized that you were in pain after death and gave you the opportunity to fix your mistake with the options of Reset and Continue. So when you selected reset, and ended up still in this dimension, I came and found you to do whatever I could to get as close as possible to it."
You raised a brow. "So I'm just gonna live secluded from society in this cabin for the rest of my existence?" You asked.
"Oh heavens no! I've got a plan for you to make a new life AND free the monsters!"
Your eyes widened and you smiled. "Really?!" You asked.
Flowey nodded, his vines reappearing with certain supplies twisted in their grasp. "And it all starts with a little makeover."
The supplies dropped to the ground and you looked over then with peaked interest. "We're going to change my appearance?" You inquired.
"Yep! This cabin is so far out of reach of civilization that it's just too inconvenient. Instead, I'm going to help you turn into a monster and establish a life in the underground. Then, when the right time comes, you will help me free the underground!"
Of course you felt suspicious of Flowey's motives, but seeing as an AU meant personality changes you brushed it off. You took the supplies in hand and looked at Flowey with unsure eyes.
"Are you sure these will work?" You asked.
Flowey beamed. "One hundred percent!"
"If you say so...."
For two hours, you dye, designed and bore different looks, trying to find one that would conceal your identity without giving away the fact your monster features were fake. By the end of it, you were rather happy with your transformation. You wore a wig, not having the heart, nor wanting to put effort, to dye your hair. It was a long snow white wig that stopped at your last rib. It was straightened so that it seems to wave without your. A large white dress covered your body, sleeves like large bells as they grew larger the farther from your shoulder it went. A large hood settled against your back but your left it down in favor of the ears you'd chosen to give you a monster trait. They were snowy white cat ears that matched the tail that fell out of a hole in the back of the dress. The cuffs of the sleeves were lined in fur, as well as the rim of the hood. You wore tall white boots and pale blue mittens. A belt wrapped around your waist, making the lower half of the dress more cone like. You spun in a circle and smiled.

"Flowey, this is the persona. It covers a lot of my skin, I don't have to die my hair and it fulfills a fantasy I once had as a child."
Flowey raised an amused brow. "A fantasy?" He asked.
Blushing slightly, you hid your real ears in the waves of hair. "I may or may not have had wished to be a Neko girl once or twice." You muttered.
Flowey laughed while handing you two a set of contacts. Once you put them in, you're eyes were the color of frost. Not quiet white, but a pale pale blue. Flowey clapped his leaves and smiled.
"Okay (Y/N), now this leaves TWO more things to do." He annoumced. "Name and living."
You glanced down at your ensemble and smiled. "Easy, I'll be Snowflake."
Flowey rolled his eyes. "Okay, now living! You need to find a job that will get you to the king faster than Frisk can. He might be confused since he didn't reset himself but that only buys a little sliver of time. What jobs have you done before?"
Your face flushed and you scratched behind your car ears, avoiding eye contact. "Well, I worked in the science field, but that's also where Sans specializes. I can take care of kids, but there aren't any orphanages or foster care places for me to work."
Flowey thought a moment then gasped with a happy grin. "You can sing right?" He asked.
Your face fell and your arms flattened to your sides. "Well.... I haven't sung in a very long time. It brings back painful memories."
"But if that's your only other talent, it's your only other opportunity to fall into society."
You took a moment and thought. "But as a singer... isn't that a bit too flashy... it would draw attention to me." You reasoned, though you knew you were just avoiding the obvious.
Flowey wrapped a vine around your arm and pulled himself on to your shoulder. "Think about it this way. With this new persona, you can make your own past! The memories that are holding you back don't apply to Snowflake! So you can use you're talent under your new name and not feel the pain of your past. In addition to that, if it turns out someone remembers you, they'll be searching in all the loneliest and small nooks and crannies. Taking on a big name will pull you away from suspicion. Maybe we can get you into work with that Mettaton fellow! And if you get big enough, you'll meet the king and you'll be able to free the Underground!"
You shifted from foot to foot, feeling too unsure for your own good. "But would that really work?"
"Sure it would! You get a new life. Your wish comes true. Both universe are free. That's what you wished for right?"
Mulling it over, you nodded. "Yeah... that's what I wished for. That's what I want. I'll do it!" You confirmed.
"Great! We'll get more clothes for you after you're set up with Mettaton. You'll have to wow him tomorrow so you might wanna practice you vocals a little bit, but for now you should rest. You can sleep in this cabin for the night."
You nodded. "Okay."
You stripped away the new clothing and hung it over the door way your room. Your eyes looked over your original clothing and you could feel your heart lace with blunt - like pain. Not having the heart to throw them out, you picked them up gently and folded them, your lab coat acting as a wrap for the whole thing. Your key card was slipped into the folds of it along with your identification, license and anything else that could possibly reveal your identity.
You tied the sleeves around it like ribbon and set it neatly on the wooden floor. You sat down on a soft bed of golden blooms and laid on your side, the folded clothing and belonging acting as your pillow. Closing your eyes, you silently prayed. You prayed that this would all work out.

In the half of an hour I waited for Frisk to arrive, I texted everyone in the crew to meet up at Undyne's house. Without fail, each one asked me what was wrong. They asked me what happened, making my frustration build. They all forgot her. They didn't even know the name (Y/N). All of that time... all of the pain and the fun and the love she put us through... not even one of them remembered.
My boney clutched tightened more and more, almost becoming painful. I had to put down the phone in my hand so I wouldn't crush it. For now, all I could do was remind them. If by some miracle they remembered, then thank god. If they remained clueless, at least I could warn them to keep an eye out for her.
Crunching snow broke the silence and my eyes snapped up. Just beyond the gate Papyrus built before the incident, I could see the sillouhette of Frisk. Taking a deep breath, trying to soothe my irritation, I teleported behind him. This would be new for both of us, especially since he wouldn't know me yet.
I reappeared and watched quietly as he looked around the gate, as if expecting something to happen. I plastered a smiled to my face and cleared my throat, grabbing his attention.
"Hey kid, don't you know how to greet a new friend? Shake m-"
Frisk flung himself at me with a cry, clinging to my legs. He cried quietly.
"Please not you too Sans. Don't tell me you forgot about her too." He sobbed.
I froze, heart skipping a beat. "You r-remember?" I stuttered.
Frisk snapped his head up and he smiled shakily. "Thank god you didn't forget. Maybe it was just mom... where is she? Is (Y/N) okay Sans? What happened?!" He asked.
A smile found its way across my face and I kneeled down next to Frisk. He looked at me hopefully and I let out an airy chuckle. "Come on kid. We've gotta meeting with the gang."
