The dormitories looked pretty spacious. I remember seeing pictures in catalogues, Tv commercials, and such. Seeing it in person was actually nerve wrecking but serene. I was starting college.

Seeing the other students walking around gave me an unsettling amount of anxiety I didn't think I could have. I haven't been around this many people my age besides school but this? You obviously have many more than you could probably account for. Especially from overseas.

Speaking of..

"Nike," I heard Sévon say.

"Yes?" I looked over to her pointing at the room. "We found it." She smiled. She proceeded to open the door and we walked in.

"Hmm, so it is quite the same as in the states really. Just a better view of the grounds and a spectacular view of the water far off back there." She awed.

You can tell site seeing was something she could live for. She stood at the window pointing out every single thing.

"That right there is a beautiful statue. Who is it?" She pointed at a statue in the middle of the square gardens.

I walked up and found what she was looking at. "Oh, that is Athena. Daughter of Zeus. She is the Goddess of wisdom, war strategy, and civilization. Plenty of more, but she was born without a mother so to speak. It is widely know here that she grown from her father's head or that Zeus had swallowed her mother who was pregnant with her and she emerged from him.." I chuckled lastly.

She giggled, "from him forehead?! You think he went through migraines for labor pains?" She laughed.

"That's actually a good question." I smiled.

"I'm sure they have her here because she was whag you would call a girls girl but also for the people. Very wise in military strategy and very wise. She was beautiful. Zeus' favorite daughter. Born with amazing power. The rise in her society shown she was ready for whatever obstacle that cane to her and was able to make the best decisions before taking action. It could mean alot for you being a student here." I cheesed.

She gave me a look. She blushed.

Something about her was very striking.

If only I could bring myself to make friends besides the one I mourned.

"What are you here for?" Sévon asked as she surveyed the room.

Bare beds separately placed on either side. We actually had a small kitchen area with a small fridge already installed. A small couch. The bathroom and closets off in the corner. A TV stand in the middle of the room and 2 desk seated next to each other.

"Art." I said bowing my head.

I could hear her feet shuffle around. "Art you say? Please, is there anything you could show me? What kind of Art?"

"I can paint, draw, I even did sculpturing but only using marginal pieces of clay and such things. Nothing too extravagant." I replied.

"What about you?" I asked sitting down on the left side of the couch.

She slowly made her way to the right side of the couch and sat down. Making the air.. tense and thick.

"I came for Archeology." She said smiling at me. She gave me a nudge on the shoulder. "Now that art," she giggled softly. "When did you start?"

"Around 6, I was drawing stick figures. By the age of 8 I was moved by many things around me I found aesthetically pleasing. I would go outside and draw whatever I saw in the clouds. Flowers I smelled that freshly bloomed on the patio of my mothers house. It lead to drawing people I would see working for my mother when she had her store. From there it turned into  finding muses in the missed details of life I define all with the word Beauty." I replied somberly.

Her eyes appeared glossy but not to think she was crying but truly moved by what I said.

"I'm sure it is amazing. I can't wait to get to know you. My first foreign friend. Not even a whole 4 hours and I feel attracted to your aura. Of course in a platonic way." She licked her lips turning her head downward towards the floor.

"Yea... of course." I said. "Why Archeology?" I crossed my legs.

"Because.. as you can see I completely melt over seeing new things. New cultures. New environments. New people. New mindsets. New everything. It's all a figment of my imagination when I dream of the things I could find and research that some people may have not learned or discovered yet. Im quiet adventurous." She laughed.

"You are starting off in the right place. It doesn't have to be a figment anymore."

We both gave each other a quiet but pleasing head nod. Feeling a bit better about her being my friend. Hopefully. I'm sure we'll do great together as roommates.

"Umm.." Sévon broke the silence. "..Are you hungry? I could get us some food." She stood up.

I followed suit. "Honestly, I could go for something. It's going to be a long day." I chuckled.

She threw her hand out gesturing me towards the door. I took the cue and made my way to the door.

"Now don't go too far, we both have to find the food court." She laughed closing the door behind her as we both proceeded out.

"Oh no, clearly you'll need a guide and translator in case." I joked.

Campus grounds

"Okay so it looks like we go here.." Nike said pointing towards another building.

We walked casually taking in the views from all around us.

Beautiful gardens full of blooming flowers. The fresh air. Remnants of greek history I was so ready to understand more of. Besides what I knew but t feels more authentic learning it straight from it's native people.

I seen Nike stop someone from nearby. She briefly spoke with then but I could hear her native language.

And I must say... I'm attracted.

Never before Have I really looked at another masculine dressing female. I mean not completely giving Masculine, but a balance. She could wear the simplest of clothing, almost as a regular tomboy. It didn't give that she was truly aggressive. Her energy gives soft and subtle. I liked it.

"...Efcharistó, eimai ypér sou. (Thank you, I' m in your favor.)" She smiled at the person and turned to me.

Even just looking at her.. she is naturally gorgeous.

"So the guy said they are having a welcome festival just behind the building. Fresh foods, fruits, juices and such that are homemade from the land. I think you'll most definitely love to try." She said.

"What are you waiting for??? Let's go!" I tapped her shoulder and nudged my head as a gesture to go towards that direction.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on some new foods.

We arrived and my God. Everything just looked so good. The call nature, they even had a small band playing music I could only think from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey.

Yea.. Don't sleep on that game.

It was the many entertainers and people dressed in regular clothing and even ancient clothing to add to the sense of of their history.

This is the most amazing thing I could ever do. Being here in Greece.

"Ready to try some foods?" Nike asked me chuckling. "I can see the drool running.." she said as she gestured wiping her mouth.

"Very funny, I'm more than ready!" I rubbed my hands together.

"But first, Can I ask you something?" I said.

"Sure.." she said.

"Can you take a picture of me?!" I cheesed pulling my camera out quickly.

She laughed grabbing it, "of course, please capture plenty of memories."

I walked and turned around checking to make sure I had everything in my camera's view.

"Ready?" She asked holding the camera.

"Ready as ever!" I said happily. I stuck a pose and waited for her countdown.

"1..2..3... say Eímai Nkik! (I'm a Geek!)" She laughed.

"Eímai Nkik!" I yelled bot even sure of what i said but I'm sure it was Welcome or something.
