She wasn't even out of breath from her run across the rooftops.

She walked across the last rooftop and sat down next to another person who was wreathed in shadow.

"I thought you weren't coming."

"Well, we have the money to last our families about a week."

"How about we ride to the forest? We could put our boards somewhere out of the way and find some fruits."

"Fine. Let's go."

She pressed a button on her board, which began to hum so quietly it was almost silent. She then stepped onto it and pressed another button.

The board sliced through the air gracefully, riding the winds towards the forest.
