Many progresses were made on Wilson Byers' case. Some excerpts of interviews and evidences are listed below. For public reference.

This is a diary entry made by Melanie Martinez from October 30 to November 4.  It was found that Melanie personally knew Wilson. Here's the diary entry for further reading.

October 30, 1957
Dear diary,

I remember what happened last Sunday. I feel as if it happened just today although it has been a week. I saw him. He saw me. He kept staring at me. His eyes were blank.

Yes, I am talking about Wilson. He's my best friend. My only friend. Whenever his mother's in town, we play. We play from night till day.

Diary, I am sorry, I didn't write soon but I am writing now. And let me tell you what happened.

When Wilson got out of his mother's truck, my joy knew no bounds. I felt so happy. He came to me and shook my hand. It was pretty formal. I don't know why he does that everytime.

Well, Wilson is a bit serious. I say this because he never wants to do scary things like stealing eggs from Mrs. Geller's house or kicking the dustbin at Mr. Onter's house.

Today, after he arrived we played a lot in my mother's garden. We caught some butterflies. Ever since Wilson's first father died, he has changed. He doesn't talk much, nor does he come here often with his mother. I think he's lucky. Because he got a new father. Another one. My father left my mother, but he's so lucky that he has a new one.

Sometimes I get scared from Wilson. He does this scary things. He tells me that he wants to do bad things to his new father. He says that his new father wants to take away the new mansion his mother brought. Once, we saw a stray dog on the road. Wilson brought him in. We played a lot. But at night, I saw him strangle it. I haven't told my mother about it.

Darcy, that bully that always teases me, bosses me around. Wilson said that he would hurt him. I am scared.

Dear Diary,

Wilson did what I was scared of. He 'hurt' Darcy. Well, someone pushed Darcy into the lake, tying a rock on his hips. I think Wilson did it. But the police don't believe me. They say he's only 13.

Wilson is angry with me. I hope he doesn't do anything. I hope that I am wrong.

November 4, 1957
Dear diary,

Yesterday, after I talked to you. Wilson called me from the window. I got scared but I followed him anyway. He brought me to the forest and picked me some flowers.

He said that he liked me. And he told me that he didn't kill Darcy. I believe him. Diary, I needed to tell you something else. Wilson and I, we kissed.

Yes you heard it right. I was so nervous. Today he said that he would sneak in again and we'll be going to the forest near the Yerwin Cliff.

This was the last entry in Melanie Martinez's diary. She was found dead on the bottom of Yerwin Cliff. Her diary was found by her mother. Wilson Byers was questioned. But police found no sign of psychological problem and was let go.

On February 13, 2016, the body of Wilson Byers vanished from the Riberwood Morgue under mysterious circumstances. On viewing of the security footage, it was found that some cult (hypothetically named by the police 'DeathWorship') was in play. They wanted to revive Wilson Byers' body so they could rule the world.

Here are some excerpts of the interview with the leader of the cult (Cultist Elsa Gertrude).

Note: Elsa Gertrude is from Germany. Only 20 years old, she was the leader and the eldest member of the cult.

How did you get involved in such cults?
Elsa: The devil spoke to me in the mirror. He said that if I gather enough members, and rejuvenate the body of Wilson Byers, he would come down on earth. And rule the earth.

How exactly were you planning on 'rejuvenating' Wilson Byers?
By killing that bitch that killed her. That c**t. (Ma'am Language) Amy. We were almost successful.

On February 18, Amy was attacked in her house. Her mom was injured while she managed to escape. Three out of 7 cultist were killed.

Around 10:20. Amy, who was watching television along with her mother in her house, were attacked by seven masked assailants. Two of them were armed with machete. Amy's mother, who tried to protect her daughter, was stabbed. Amy then hit one of the unarmed assailant with a lamp, killing him on the spot.

A 911 call was received on 10:48. Here's the quote by quote on the call.

911 dispatcher: 911, what's your emergency?

Amy: They are in the house. They stabbed my mom. I killed one of them. Help!!

Thirteen police officer were sent who shot 2 other assailant in a crossfire. The other assailant (age from 13-20) were taken into custody while Amy's mother is in hospital being treated for her stabbing.

More recently, on June 21, 2016; a series of  copycat murders took place. A man by the name of Will Grayson, killed 5 teenagers in a drive in. The severity of the crime exactly resembled the deaths of Trisha Reeks, Sid Joan, Nancy Patterson and Steve Lang.
The people killed in this copycat murders were Jenny Rogers, Lila Stane, Zain Lange, Peter Weil and Negan Walters.

Paramount Pictures bought the movie rights to the Wilson Byer' story and is producing a movie. For now, only Geena Davis has been finalised for the role of Wynona Byers, Wilson's mother.

Almost 46 bodies have been yet to be identified, found from the ice mound. The most recently identified body is of Kit Wally.

Many families sent their regards to Amy, who showed great bravery and killed Wilson. She has been rewarded with many bravery awards and she has even been visited by some celebrities like Katy Perry, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie to name a few.
