27: Something Dramatic
(Hey look an update! Courtesy of Ash and parts of me. Enjoy/comment! Until later...)
Ash caught the girl--Sammi, she had said her name was--as she collapsed. He pulled her into his arms, carrying her bridal-style into the house after he kicked the door shut behind him.
Blue, Meep, Nikki, and Maddie all looked up at him with wide eyes. Maddie immediately got up and ran to the kitchen, to get the first aid supplies under the sink.
Ash laid the girl down on the couch he had been sitting on before. He'd scrub it later to get the blood off, or convince Gabriel to do some magical angel voodoo on it.
Maddie ran back in, and shoved Ash to the side. She immediately got to work on the cuts on the girl's face and seeing if there were any more wounds, unfortunately not having the power to heal.
He turned to Blue, Meep, and Nikki. "Clean up, or at least eat everything really quickly. I'll be back." He ran upstairs, grabbing his phone from the desk in he and Tenny's room. He quickly unlocked it and went into his contacts, clicking Tenny's number.
(MAGICAL TRANSITION)
Tenny looked down at her phone after it had started ringing. She saw Ash's name and the little heart emoji that Nikki had put after it, when her phone had been stolen by them months before, and the goofy photo of him messing around in a leather jacket and aviator sunglasses.
She swiped the screen to answer, and raised the phone to her ear. "Hey, Ash."
"Hey, Ten." Hearing his voice brought a smile to her face. "I don't mean to ruin whatever you and Taylor are doing, but if you're not on your way back, I would suggest it."
Her smile turned into a frown. "We're on our way back. What's wrong? Is everyone okay?"
"It's someone who we don't know. A girl named Sammi Moore showed up on our doorstep less than five minutes ago. She asked me my name, and when I told her, she said she's been looking for me. Then she passed out. Maddie's tending to her now, and I ran up to call you."
Tenny nodded. "Okay. Tay and I will hurry. Have someone text me when she wakes up, okay?"
"Okay." He paused.
"Ash? Is there anything else?"
"I...No, there isn't. Bye. I love you. Get home safe."
"I love you, too. Bye."
He then hung up.
Tenny looked over at Taylor, frowning slightly. "He's being weird."
"When isn't he being weird?" Taylor said, not looking away from the road and being a good driver.
Tenny rolled her eyes. "You know what I mean."
(TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY BOREDOM AND WRITER'S BLOCK)
Ash and Blue sat in the living room with the unconscious girl, waiting for her to wake up. Meep and Nikki went to go get food, and Maddie's somewhere with Gabriel.
"What are you going to do, when she wakes up?" Blue suddenly asked.
Ash looked over at them. "Well, talk to her. She said she was looking for me. I'll get the information that we need, and me and Tenny can decide what to do from there."
Blue nodded. "Sounds good."
"W-where am I?"
Ash and Blue both looked up to see the girl sitting up a little, looking around a bit. She squinted at the lights around them.
"Text Tenny that she's awake." Ash told Blue, and he moved a little closer to her, sitting at the chair beside the couch. "You're in a house that's safe from monsters. Do you remember coming here?"
Sammi nodded after a second. "Yeah, I remember. I guess I was wounded really badly?"
"Not really. I think you were just in a little bit of shock, or exhausted."
She nodded. "I guess you want to know why I'm here?"
"It would be helpful."
"Crowley."
Ash's blood ran cold. "Crowley? King of Hell, Crowley?"
She nodded. "He's been looking for you for years. Whenever he finds you, you always get out of the way, and it makes him angry."
Ash sighed. "How does he try to find me?"
"He tracks you. If he just missed you, he takes different hunters in areas that you've been near, and tries to get information out of them. Sometimes he'll send them after you. If they didn't manage to find anything or refused to tell him, he killed them or tortured the information out if them."
"How does he kidnap them?"
"Different ways. Sometimes he sends a hellhound after them, to drag them to Hell, because he can track the hounds. Sometimes he sends demons after them. Sometimes he manages to cause them to get hurt, and takes it from there."
(TRANSITION BROUGHT TO YOU BY HUNGER)
Tenny laughed at something that had been said on the radio, finding it funnier than it actually was.
"Don't die, Tenny." Taylor smiled.
"I won't, don't worry."
"I don't know how you found that funny." Taylor mumbled, and Tenny sighed, shaking her head. A soft smile lined her face as she looked out the window.
"I hope everyone's okay back at the house." Taylor nodded but patted Tenny's shoulder.
"You worry a lot, Tenny. Ash can handle things on his own. Just deep breaths."
Tenny opened her mouth to reply, but ended up grunting as she was thrown against her seatbelt, which had locked in place. The car flipped over, having hit nothing.
As all the blood ran to her head, her vision started getting dark. The last thing she saw was a pair of boots walking towards her.
(TRANSITION)
Sammi and Ash sat next to each other on the second couch, talking about what they were going to do.
"He wants you to confront him." Sammi said. "You know how Crowley is, we both have dealt with him personally. He doesn't like doing the dirty work unless he has to. He's not going to come to you."
"So we have to go to wherever he is." Ash concluded.
"Yes, exactly."
"And where is he?"
"I don't know. He moves around. I'm usually just collected or something."
"...'Collected?'"
"That's what I said." She concluded.
He was silent, thinking it over. "So what do we do, when or if we go to him?"
"Well, you know more than I do."
"Yes, but I haven't talked to Crowley for years!"
"You handle what you know, I'll handle what I know."
On the coffee table in front of them, Ash's phone vibrated. He leaned forward and saw Tenny's name and photo, and quickly picked it up and answered it. "Hey, Tennison."
"That's a weird nickname." A deep, gravelly voice with a British accent said.
Ash looked over at Sammi, who's eyes widened a little. She mouthed "Crowley."
"Crowley, what the hell are you doing?" He demanded, taking the phone from his ear and putting it on speaker so that Sam could hear.
"I didn't do anything. These two ladies hit one of my hellhounds when they were driving. Their car flipped over."
Ash pushed down his growing worry. "Why do you have her phone?"
"Oh, so she's just a 'her?' Ha! She's the love of your miserable life!"
He bit his tongue. "Why do you have Tenny's phone?" He demanded, more commanding this time.
"Let your mind run, little demon. You know why, if Samantha has gotten to you."
"If you hurt them, I swear--"
"You'll do what, huh? Rip my throat out?"
"I'll tear your guts out of your stomach, grind them up, and feed them to you like puppy chow." He growled. "And you know I'm not bluffing."
"You know where I am, then." He hung up.
Ash looked at Sammi, scowling. "He's in Hell. Come on, we have a king to kill."
(Dramatic! And look! TASH SAID I LOVE YOU!! Yay! I'll try to get another chapter out soon as I can. Until later...)
