Meanwhile...

(All credits to Ash! One of the most amazing authors out there! Until later...)

Ash barely even realized the sound of one of the cars in the driveway starting and driving away. He didn't think much of it. Maybe one of them was going to the store, since someone is always eating something in that house.

When he heard something distantly crash inside the house, he sighed, getting up from the concrete ground and running in. He saw Nikki and Meep standing there, looking around with wide eyes, a broken glass between them on the floor.

He sighed, leaning against the wall. "What happened?"

Meep and Nikki both swung their heads to look at him. Meep pointed at Nikki. "She did it."

Nikki gasped. "Snitch!"

Ash shook his head, not up for it. "I don't care who did it, I barely even care what happened; clean it up." He walked off, going upstairs. He walked into the open area in the middle of that floor, that was in the middle of the four bedrooms. Blue and Maddie were spread out on some of the beanbags, looking at something on Maddie's tablet, that Gabriel got her for her birthday last year.

"Everything good?" He asked.

Blue and Maddie looked up, and both gave him smiles. Blue answered, "Yeah, we found free copies of the Supernatural books, and we're judging Sam and Dean."

He chuckled lightly. "That's nice." He said, sarcastically. Blue nodded.

Maddie said, "Tenny and Taylor headed out. Taylor said that they'll be gone for a few days."

Ash frowned, slightly. "Oh-kay. Thanks for letting me know." He turned around, about to walk out.

"Hey, Ash, are you alright?" Maddie's words made him freeze.

He turned back around. He shook his head. "No. But, don't worry about me. I don't need to be worried about." He turned back around and walked into he and Tenny's room, the door being right by the staircase. He flooped onto the bed, groaning and closing his eyes.

Ropes were bound tightly around his wrists, tying them mercilessly behind his back, attaching him to the metal pole that his back was pressed against. There were ropes around his shoulders and legs, his ankles tied together. He shouted, trying to fight out, not quite sure where he was or what was going on.

"Kill the witch!"

"Kill the warlock!"

"Burn in hell!"

His green eyes widened, realizing that he was about to be burned alive. He fought harder, but it was no use, no matter how strong he was. The ropes were too thick.

He looked in front of him, seeing a man holding a burning torch. He looked him straight in the eyes, silently pleading desperately for his life. But, it was no use, as it was trying to thrash under the ropes. The man lowered the club onto the pile of dried lumber at his feet.

He held still in complete terror as the fire slowly made its way to his bare feet. He shouted when the fire touched his skin, screaming when it carried up his pants and his shirt, growing bigger and engulfing him whole.

Ash shouted as he woke up, sweating bullets. He rolled off the bed, flailing, landing on the floor with a grunt.

Meep suddenly burst in the room, pointing a gun at him. She lowered it when she saw that it was just him, nothing else.

He looked up at her. "Meep, what the hell?"

"You shouted, we didn't know if something was wrong." She explained. "We can't be too safe, Ash." She then walked out, and he sighed, flattening against the floor. He pulled himself up after a few minutes, going to take a shower.

(SHORT MAGICAL TIME SKIP)

When Ash walked back down after his shower and a change of clothes, he winced inwardly when he heard how loud it was downstairs. How so little people could make so much noise would always be a mystery to him.

He walked into the kitchen, and leaned against the counter beside Maddie, who looked at him. "What happened earlier?" She asked him, quietly.

Out of the Facers, besides Tenny, Maddie was the one Ash was closest to. Blue and Meep where close seconds, but Maddie was Tenny's cousin, and they got along pretty well

"Nightmare." He said, plainly, hopping up onto the counter beside her.

"That sucks. You okay?"

He shrugged, going into the cabinet beside him and taking out a glass. He reached over Maddie, filling it with water from the sink.

She nudged his shoulder. "I'll make sure that Blue, Meep, and/or Nikki don't attack you tomorrow morning."

He gave her a confused look.

"I know you have nightmares when you sleep, whenever Tenny isn't there. I'll make sure they don't accidentally kill you if you fall asleep again."

He nodded, taking a sip of his water. "Thanks, Mads."

She nodded. "No problem, Ash."

Nikki walked into the kitchen, and froze. Ash knew why. He barely ever wore short sleeves, because of the bumpy, long scars on the inside of his wrists, from when his vessel committed suicide. If he wasn't wearing long sleeves, he usually wore a jacket over the shirt. He knew Nikki didn't like seeing them. He just forgot, with how he woke up.

He slid off the counter. "I'll go change."

Maddie grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back. "No. You're allowed to wear that."

Nikki pursed her lips passively, and she brushed between the arguing Meep and Blue, getting a bowl of sugary cereal.

When Meep screeched, Ash put his glass down beside Maddie and went upstairs. He walked back into he and Tenny's room, sitting down on his side of the bed. He picked up the notebook he had sitting beside the bed, opening it to a fresh page. He wrote the same word over and over again, filling three-fourths of the page.

Control

Once he did that, he went back downstairs. Meep was splayed out over her couch. Blue was curled up in their nest, repeating the word "No" over and over again to Nikki, who was trying to convince Blue to let her in their nest.

He clenched his fists, going to the kitchen, where Maddie was tidying up a little. He placed his elbow on her shoulder, emphasizing how short she was. She huffed, swatting at him. He dogded easily, chuckling.

"Rude." She said sarcastically.

"I know, right?" He replied, turning away.

Ash stared up at his father, backing away in fear of the giant man whose hands were clenched tightly.

Hands that were quick, but used in a harmful way.

A quick hand struck, and pain flared on the one side of his face.

Ash looked up at Maddie, realizing he had collapsed to the floor, his weight on one knee and leaning against the cabinets. He gave her a wide-eyed look, like the one she was wearing.

"Ash, what the hell?" She exclaimed.

He pulled himself up with shaking arms, using the countertop as a brace. He took a deep, shaky breath, wincing when Nikki screeched. "I need to get upstairs." He told Maddie.

She nodded, and put an arm around his torso, helping him to the staircase that was on the other side of the wall. They got up the stairs, Ash regaining some strength, and he collapsed onto his back on the bed.

Maddie closed the door behind them, and sat beside him. "What was that?"

"Don't tell Tenny." He said, monotone.

"What?" She asked, confused.

"If I tell you, promise you won't tell Tenny."

She nodded. "Okay. Cross my heart."

He sighed. "When I became a demon, I didn't remember being human. Not in the sense that I didn't remember what it felt like, but it was all a foggy cloud that I couldn't see anything through. You all know that. What you all don't know is that bit by bit, little piece by little piece, I remember. In the kitchen, I remembered a time where my father struck me. In the wendigo den, I remembered my death--burned alive at the stake, for witchcraft. That's why I went to hell, I think. The witchcraft."

Maddie was silent, looking at him with an open mouth and wide eyes. After a minute or so of silence, she asked, softly, "Why don't you want Tenny to know?"

"She has enough to deal with," he said, softly, "with her dad and all, taking care of all of you. I help out the best I can, but sometimes my help doesn't help. I don't need to be worried about. I don't want to scare her."

"I get that. But she should know. What if you fall down like that again, but this time I'm not the only one who saw? She'd worry, and she won't know why it happened."

He was silent for a few seconds. "I was going to tell her once I fully remembered. Or once I was almost there. I just kind of wanted to go through it on my own. I tell Tenny everything...Everything but this."

(MAGICAL TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY ME GETTING A COLD/COUGH)

A few days later, Ash was silent as he sat in the living room with the rest of them. Tenny and Taylor were still gone, but a text from Taylor said that they would be back soon. They were watching a movie--a movie that he got no say in, not surprisingly--with more snacks than needed. Ash had his own popcorn bowl in his lap, that he wouldn't let anyone else touch because it was just the way he liked it and he didn't want anyone ruining it.

They were watching the new Carrie. Ash had seen the original, they all had, but Blue and Nikki demanded to see the remake, so here they were. He didn't like it as much as the older version, but what can he say, he was an old soul.

After a bit, Ash heard a knock on the door. He looked at Nikki, who had taken control of the remote. "Pause it, or turn it down."

She didn't pay attention to him.

The door was knocked on more impatiently.

"Nikki, turn it down." He said, louder.

She looked at him, but didn't do anything.

He grimaced as a character let out an ear-splitting scream. "Turn it the fuck down!" He shouted over it.

She scrambled for the remote, pausing it.

He sighed, marching to the door. He summoned a dagger in his hand and put it behind his back. He composed himself as he looked through the peephole. He couldn't see much. He opened the door, ready to fight if he had to.

A girl with long brown hair leaned against the side of the house beside the door. Her face and clothes were bloody, her glasses crooked and splashed with blood. She looked at him. "Ashton Dallon?" She asked.

He nodded, confused and concerned for her well-being.

She coughed, doubling over a little. When she straightened, she stood with her back straight and shoulders squared. She looked him right in the eyes, that were close to hers in color, and said, "My name is Sammi Moore. I've been looking for you. I need your help." She swayed a little, and Ash caught her as she collapsed.

(Y'all excited? I AM! Until later...)
