As I rubbed my eyes I yawned. Where was I? What happened? I slowly moved my head around contemplating my situation, the room wasn't familiar. It was much to grand to be the room I slept in yesterday and the bed was different, softer and larger, then I heard the snoring. It was loud and comical like something from a movie and as I turned my head I saw Ridge. His hair was unruly and splayed itself out over the pillow like a halo, he wore a t-shirt and sweat pants with holes near the knees that were also very soft. I then looked down at myself seeing a light silk dressing gown with a pair of shorts and a tank top underneath. I sighed running my fingers through my hair, what had happened. As Ridge started to stir I propped myself up on my arm looking at his mess of hair. "Hello party girl." Ridge said yawning, stretching his arms above his head. "What happened last night?" I asked as he smirked. "Let's just say you got drunk with Rythian and started a dance. It was quite the show when you started saying that Ravs' name sounded like rats." He laughed and smirked more as the memory's slowly started flooding in. "So I made a total fool of myself!" I laughed breathlessly as he nodded yes. "I need to attend to godlike duties, I'll be in the game room if you need me." He said, yawning lightly and dragging himself out of bed.
"Thanks for inviting them by the way, I would have never guessed Zoey got a robot arm." I yawned smiling at his soft antics. "See you later my sweet." He whispered placing a light kiss on my cheek and leaving the room, presumably to change and get to work. I stood, stumbling slightly before walking over to the unfamiliar dresser in front of the bed. To my surprise it was fully stocked with stylish dresses, perfectly fitted to my size. "This one." I whispered looking at an aquamarine dress that had a full bottom and went down to my knees. I pulled back my hair, finding a stray ribbon to contain my sloppy red locks, and stepping lightly out of the room. I found myself in a familiar hallway, doors lining one side and a rail lining the other. A smile wished its way on to my soft pink lips as I leaned over the rail and saw Kaz.
"This is amazing!" I yelled running down to her and engulfing her into a soft hug.
"I know." She laughed, smiling.
"Come, it gets better!" She said, pulling me through a series of hallways to a large room.
"Wow!" I whispered, looking at the huge stage in front of me.
"Isn't it fantastic, and to think it's all yours." Kaz smiled, causing me to gasp.
"Mine?!" I asked, my eyes widening.
"He made it last night, it was quite a feat." She smiled, leading me to the stage, fully stocked with instruments and costumes.
"I....I can't believe it. Just last week I was cleaning for my family." I laughed, several tears falling freely out of my eyes.
"He'll be pleased you like it." She smiled, keeping the truth in her eyes steady as she went.
"I feel like I'm in a dream, but this is so much more than I would have dreamed up." I cried while walking into the huge room.
"Thank you." I whispered as I touched the wooden stage, my dreams taking flight.
" I need to go thank him!" I yelled turning abruptly and running through the door. I felt as if I was on air, running through fields of clouds in my minds. I came across a huge golden door and decided it was the one.
"Ridge?" I yelled knocking loudly on the door.
"What is it!" He growled, opening the door and revealing to me his dark side. He was covered in sweat and his brows were furrowed deeply.
"I'm sorry, I wanted to thank you." I whispered, looking at his eyes and seeing mine reflect in his seemingly black ones.
"You should be peasant!" He barked, catching me on edge.
"Ridge, this isn't you." I said, shaking my head back and forth.
"You little!" He yelled slashing my cheek with some sort of blade. I raised my hand to my cheek, feeling the deep crimson liquid begin to pool in my palm.
"Monster." I whispered, running as fast as I could to find the exit, my tears mixing with the blood to form murky puddles down the hall, I then ran into Kaz.
"What happened!" She asked alarmed at my state.
"I just need to go away, for good. You were a great friend Kaz." I whispered just loud enough for her to hear. She nodded, understanding in some way my feelings.
"I guess this is goodbye." She said holding out her arms.
"Goodbye, you were the closest thing I've ever had to a sister." I sobbed as she wrapped her arms around me. I then turned away, it was to much, I ran, following the rug to the door and running out into the maze of trees.
