🌀My best friend is an angel. I call her Heaven.🌀

"Class dismissed," Ms. Roseburg announced when the bell rang. I looked at Heaven and smiled. We sprang out of our seats and went to our lockers to gather our things.

"California, here we come," Heaven said excitedly. We hopped in her car and drove away from the school. Heaven turned the radio on and blasting as we rode in her old convertible I pulled my blonde hair into a ponytail.

"Aah... spring break. Don't you just loved that feeling?" I asked my best friend. I loved being 16 and crazy.

"Yes! I feel so free... except for the fact that Mr. Wordon gave us an algebra packet that's due Monday."

We both laughed and enjoyed the ride. We pulled up at Heaven's house and we both got out. She opened the door to her house and I opened mine to the house next door, which was mine.

"Are we there yet?" I asked the parents.

"Goodness, girl! We've still got two hours," Heaven's mom replied from the very back seat. My dad was driving, Heaven's dad in the passenger seat, me and Heaven in the middle row, and then our moms in the far back.

"So you're telling me this is a two-hour-drive? I thought San Diego was a lot closer to Las Vegas," Heaven wined.

Every parent in the car chuckled. "You call two hours a long drive?" My dad asked Heaven.

Shortly, two hours had passed. We were almost there! This vacation was going to be fun, but I just wished we could miss some school, too. We were in high school, and we went to Spring Valley.

We pulled into the hotel parking lot and got out of the car. My best friend and I looked around. Los Angeles was cool! It was crazy... we and our families had lived in Vegas for almost five years and this was the first time we had ever traveled to California even though it was really close!

After we unpacked, we headed down to the beach to explore and take pictures to post. We both knew that this was going to be a fun trip.
