Under the dark vast sky was our howls, laughters and songs of joy played all together. The great euphoria of living seethed through our every vein and muscle, the warmth of happiness enevloped our hearts as our legs dragged us wherever they desire. Our hairs wobbling in the air as once again, the majestic wind played against our beings, full of adrenaline and ecstasy.
"Let's split up!" Namjoon yelled in the midst of running. He signaled with his hands before turning and disappearing into the corner along with Hoseok whilst I was dragged the other way, the sound of sirens blazing in our ears.
It was Taehyung who held on my arm firmly, like I was a child, afraid that if he lets go, I would disappear and never to be found once again. Yoongi is ahead of us by only a couple of inches, looking back with a smirk from time to time, spraying his back spray can in ever wall or posts that we pass by, filling the streets with such art.
I could faintly hear the great rhapsody in the furthest depths of my mind, the fast beating of my heart at such rapture. The shivers down my spine as I feel the cold breeze as it passes down to my whole being, sending me in to cloud nine in glee. I am living the moment.
I found myself raising the spray can in my hand and started spraying paint in every walls and posts we pass by, earning a proud grin from Yoongi as he fell on my side, slingin an arm around me and messed my hair, and a chukle from taehyung as he shook his head.
But as if on cue, the loud sirens once again disrupted the calm and peaceful ambiance. Taehyung cursed whilst both Yoongi and I laughed. "C'mon, Seokjin's waiting by the bridge."
"Hey, stop right there!" I heard someone yelled from behind, the sirens blaring louder and louder. We picked up our pace and ran twice as fast as we did earlier, moving fartehr and farther away from the cops, the loud siren now slowly getting faint as we rounded the corner, laughing as we do so.
Taehyung finally let go of my arm, letting me run on my own. We took lots of turns before we reached what seemed like metal bars that leads to the river. I gasped when Yoongi jumped over, making me abruptly stop. I looked down only to see nothing. It was dark and the ground was barely visible.
"What are you waiting for, kook?" Taehyung stopped, eyeing me. "C'mon, the cops will be here any minute. You wouldn't want to spend the rest of the night in jail, would you?" he chuckled, grasping the metal bars and positioned himself to jump.
"Are you sure it's safe?" I asked weary. "I mea—"
"Come see for yourself," he winked before jumping. I called after him but he was already nowhere in sight. I couldn't help but groan. I have always hated heights and dark places. Jimin was no difference as well. He was just as scared as I am. But he would act like it doesn't affect him at all just so I wouldn't be scared.
maybe it's not so bad, kookie. take courage and go see for youself, I could hear him in my thoughts. His beautiful angelic voice whispering in my soul, caressing my heart and kissing all my fears away.
The sirens were now slowly getting louder and louder. So with a heave of courage, I got up on my feet and positioned myself to jump. My eyes closed, and in the midst of everything, I whispered, "I love you, Jimin." and the next thing I know, I was flying through the air, my arms spread as I embraced the gentleness of the wind.
I landed on a soft mattress, making me laugh for being such a pussy just now. I thanked jimin in my head. I imagine him reaching his hand out for me instead of hoseok, that it was his hand I am holding as he pulls me up, a small smirk gracing the side of his lips.
Despite such night, I couldn't help but feel incomplete. Sure I had fun. The night had been going really great so far. But somehow beyond the smile and laughters, I yearn— mourn and long for him. I couldn't help but wish he was here. The others are great company, I admit. They're fun to be with, they're witty and smart, outgoing and full of adventures. But something coiled within me, a certain desire that leaves me suddenly empty.
Jimin, i miss him.
So when Hoseok pulled me out from the dark, I imagined him running along side with them when they rushed to our side. I pictured his beautiful billion dollar crescent smile, his angelic voice filling my ears as he calls me, my name majestically escaping ever so gorgeously from his very mouth.
I imagined Jimin hugging me instead of my brother, remembering how his warmth melted the ice inscribed within me. The way his touch sent tingles and shiver all throughout my whole being— how he captured my heart and just simply made me feel loved and in love, all at the same time.
I didn't even realise I was crying when my brother pulled away, cupping my now damped cheeks as he frowned worriedly at me. "H-hey, why are you crying?" he pouted, sadness written all over his face.
I smiled, shaking my head before bursting into fits of laughter, earning a frown from him. "I just miss jimin, is all." I admitted, earning a pitiful look from him. "But I'm okay, c'mon let's not ruin the night."
Namjoon slang an arm around me, dragging me closer to the river. "Do you know how to swim?" He raised a brow.
"Uhh, yeah?"
"Okay," he smirked, gripping on both of my arms. I gasped when I felt myself being lift off the ground, a pair of hands on both ankles of my feet. I tried moving to get away but miserably failed as I was thrown to the river, heavy laughs filling my ears when I finally descended.
"Bastards!" I splashed them, earning laughs and chuckles.
Hoseok smirked before grabbing hold of Yoongi's hands, taking him by surprise before he hoisted him up and threw him to the river as well. He landed just a few distance away from me, a glare plastered on his face once he descended. I couldn't help but laugh, splashing at him only to have him splash back, starting a splash war between the two of us.
Taehyung jumped, "Cannonball!" He shouted just as he was about to reach the water, sending a huge splash over the three. He rushed to us and jumped on my back, earning a groan from me and a mocking laugh from Yoongi who continues to splash water at us.
Hoseok, Namjoon and Seokjin must've gotten envious as they jumped on the water as well and joined our mini splash war. We ended up jumping on each other's backs. Taehyung on Namjoon's while Seokjin on Yoongi's, and hoseok splashing the four of them endlessly. I on the other hand, stood on the sides, stucked staring and speculating them with a small smile on my lips.
They looked happy, huge smiles painted across their faces, laughters warming their every hearts. But I couldn't help but feel vulnerable and blue. I sighed.
Oh jimin, how I wish you were here.
