I gazed fondly at the five year old who happened to lost his way in to my room. His cute small eyes staring back up at me as I sit back on my bed. "Dada," he giggled, looking much more adorable than ever.
Jooheon kept running around in circles then stopping as for the nth time this morning, he stares up at me and pats his legs as if indicating I play with him. Taehyung was usually the one babysitting him or sometimes, yoongi. But seems like the child ran away from both of them and hid himself in the comforts of my room.
I remember waking up just moments ago only to have an adorable little five year old jumping on my bed, filling the walls of my room with his giggles and soft laughs. This is kid is a walking sunshine. I can't even.
"–geuki!" he called. "play with jooheon, geuki!" he says, trying to climb on my bed and failing miserably before he gave up and just sat down on the carpeted floor, reaching his hands to me as if asking me to come and get him.
I couldn't help but giggle, slowly pushing the covers off me to come and get the child. But as I was about to carry him off the floor, he gasped and rushed off somewhere, specifically in front of my desk. I frowned, watching as the child jumped up and down, trying to reach something.
"Geuki, who is this?" he asks, showing me a polaroid of jimin. He caressed it, eyeing the picture fondly with a gentle smile gracing his lips. "He is beautiful." he giggles.
"That's my bestfriend." I tell him, pulling him to sit on my lap. "His name is jimin."
"Zimin?" he asks, staring up at me.
"Jimin, jooheon-ah." I giggle, leaning down to plant a soft peck on his adorable nose.
"Jimen!" He celebrates, earning a hearty chuckle from me. "He's really beautiful, geukie! I think I have a crush!" he confessed, eyes full of delight and sparkle as he stared fondly at the polaroid.
"— but geuki likes jimin too, jooheon-ah." I playfully pouted. He stared almost immediately up at me with a pout as well, eyes defeated and sorrowful as his eyes begin to water.
"Geuki likes zimin too?" a frown was painted in his soft and delicate lips. "– but I like zimin." he sobs, his pout deepening as he turns away.
"Mind explaining to me why the fuck is my child crying?" we both snapped our heads to the door, spotting yoongi leaning on the doorframe with his bitch ass looking face, glaring at my soul.
"He likes jimin." I responded.
"Appa, I like zimin and geuki likes him too!" the five year old sobs, getting off my lap and run to hug his father's legs. "Geuki likes zimin too, appa."
Upon hearing this, the glare in yoongi's eyes was quick to vanish as he chuckles, bending in one knee to scoop his son in his arms. "You like boys, kid?" he asks him.
Jooheon went from crying to gulping. His face growing pale as he steps back and pursed his lips. "Is that bad, appa?" he asks, looking down at his toes. "– but I like yeri too appa. I also have a crush on her. What does that make me?" he asks, tears cascading in the corners of his eyes.
Yoongi gasps but there was a hint of playfulness in his eyes. "That makes you a player then, heonie." he tells him. "My son is barely six years on and is already breaking hearts. I'm so proud, baby." yoongi wiped fake tears, showering his kid with kisses, only for jooheon to stomp his foot in annoyance.
"You don't get it appa!" The five year old wailed. "I like boys and girls. What does that make me appa?" he asks once again.
I could only watch their father and son bonding with such amusement and maybe with a hint of envy. My father never showered me with kisses. he was always rather mad and hates the world. I couldn't help but sigh. Jooheon is a lucky child.
"What does that make you?" Yoongi raised a brow, glancing up at me before a genuine smile broke out from his lips. "Still human, heonie-ah." he says.
"– but you need to give jimin up because uncle jungkook might kill you." He playfully warns. "He's a psycho, you see." he tells the kid.
"I'm not!" I protested, throwing a pillow at him. the room was immediately filled with yoongi's laughs, carrying the child off the ground as he points at me. "See, kid?" he gasps. "He's a psycho!" and before I could even slap the shit out of him, he was already way out of the door, carrying jooheon with him.
"Get back here, old man!" I yelled after them, not giving the slightest fuck that I'm still on my boxers and just went after them.
"Let's run faster, jooheon-ah or else the psycho is going to kill us." he teases, earning giggles from jooheon as he went along with his father's antics.
What can I say?
Like father like son.
"Geuki is getting close appa!" jooheon exclaims once I'm just a hand away from the both of them.
We passed by taehyung in the living room who stopped watching television after he heard our voices descending down from the stairs, looking up as he gave us an amused look, clearly wanting to be part of our fun.
"C'mon tae, help me catch these morons!" and it didn't take him a second word to stand on his feet and join the chase.
"There are now two psychos after us, jooheon-ah!" Yoongi chuckles, turning to a corner with his grip still hard against jooheon who did nothing but giggle and laugh hysterically while staring back at us.
"Appa run faster!" He shrieks,
"Why the fuck are we chasing them?" Taehyung asks from behind.
"I don't know," I shrug, earning a chuckle from him.
"We're chasing them for nothing!" Taehyung exclaims, "– but this is fun. I needed a run anyway. I've been gaining weights just lying all day."
"Fun, indeed!"
we were headed to the front door when it bursted open, revealing seulgi and my brother seokjin with groceries in their hands. They gasped when they saw the four of us, yoongi slowing down a little as he kisses seulgi on the cheeks before once again sprinting off.
"Welcome back, noona, hyung!" Taehyung and I both chorused, swifty pushing past them as we rushed after the two.
We followed yoongi's trail until he turned around the corner. The sight of namjoon and hoseok watering the plants in the garden was what welcomed us, yoongi and jooheon nowhere to be seen.
I decided to stop, panting as I tried to catch my breath. "Is...is yoongi here?" I managed to croak out in between pants, feeling taehyung stop just behind me, his hand resting on my shoulders as I hear him pant as well.
"Yeah, they had been here." Namjoon informs, a warm smile on his lips as he stops watering the plants.
"Where are they?" Taehyung asks, clearly avoiding hoseok's gaze.
"Here!" Yoongi jumps out of nowhere, pushing taehyung who then screams in an undeniably girlish shriek.
But just as he was about to fall, hoseok flinches and wraps his arms on his ex lover, lips pursed as he pulls taehyung to his chest.
"Stop being a pussy and fucking talk to each other already." Yoongi beams, jooheon no longer in his arms and is now on his back instead. "Ignoring each other won't do you both any good." he added, beckoning namjoon and I over, simply telling us to leave and give the two some space alone.
It didn't take a genius to know that yoongi has pretty much been planning this for days now. Out of everyone, he was the only person getting annoyed by how awkward the atmosphere gets whenever taehyung and hoseok are in the same room.
Whether I was part of the plan or not,
I don't know.
But partly, I am thankful. It was hell seeing them two break and shatter into pieces. They looked to pathetic trying their best to conceal the huge pain they both have inflicted in each other's hearts. Maybe it's time for them to fix their shit up. They've been hurting far too long for nonsense shits. They both should know better than to give up because of just some petty misunderstandings.
Taehyung sent me a meaningful stare, his eyes begging and pleading for me to stay. But yoongi's glare was much more intimidating that had me scurrying on my feet, sending an apologetic look on his way, muttering a low 'sorry' before catching up with namjoon and yoongi.
I couldn't help but feel scared for the both of them. What if things doesn't work out like how things should be. What if they both fail to understand one another. What if they couldn't look past each other's mistakes?
But it was when I heard the desperation in hoseok's faint voice as he says his apologies that had my heart warming. I couldn't help but smile.
Everything's going to be okay.
