Author's POV

The night went with Baekhyun continuing to reassure Suzy of his permanent place in her life.

While back on the other side of town. Jieun and Chanyeol aren't having such a heart to heart talk.

"So what is one of the most messed up games of truth or dare that you've ever played ?" Jieun asked Chanyeol. They sat on opposite ends of the couch while their feet were tangled within each other's.

Chanyeol put his hand under his chin as he became puzzled until it hit him.

"Ah! I remember his one game that I played with my members. The dare was so heart breaking" Chanyeol said clutching his chest dramatically.

"Omo! What was it!"

"I was the first one to go and they dared me to go into my room and don't come out for the rest of the night" Chanyeol said dropping his head. While Jieun covered her mouth in attempts to stop her laughter.

Failed attempts might I add.

"Hahahaha!"

"Yah that's not funny" Chanyeol said pouting.

"Sorry. I'll stop I promise" she said and not even ten seconds later. Round two of Jieuns laughing fit approached.

Chanyeol watched in amusement. Being happy that he could witness such a beautiful smile.

"Mmmhmph go ahead and laugh. But what about you? I know you have some embarrassing stories up your sleeve" Chanyeol said tilting his head.

"That may be so" Jieun said tucking a lose strand of hair behind her head.

"Tell me one"

He asked. Jieun started thinking until a light bulb went off in her mind as her eyes lit up.

"I remember this one time. I was a kid and had just moved in with a new family. When the mom noticed me outside one day trying to climb the tree when she yelled
"Get down you rascal! It's dangerous and you will hurt yourself!"
But a couple of days later I didn't listen and climbed the tree again. Which later led to me losing my balance and hitting every branch on my way down" Jieun said cringing at the memory.

"The lady noticed bruises on my body the next day and asked me what happened? And do you know what I said?"

"No, what?" Chanyeol asked.

"I told her that I got into a fight. Because I didn't want to admit to her that I climbed the tree" Jieun said shaking her head. And Chanyeol chucked.

"Wah Jieun-ah your unbelievable"

"What can I say? I was a rebellious 10 year old girl" she said shrugging her shoulders.

Chanyeol grinned as he wondered something.

"Where you in foster care? I heard you say move in with a new family" he asked. But when he saw how apprehensive Jieun was being.

He backtracked.

"Oh mianhae! I didn't know. Aishh Chanyeol you pabo" he rambled and Jieun shook her head.

"Ani gwenchana! I'm okay to talk about it" Jieun said before giving a genuine smile. Which shocked Chanyeol.

"Ne I was in foster care since the age of three when my omma passed away from heart failure. And since then I was in and out of different homes. It was really no big deal after a while though"

"And why is that?" Chanyeol asked sitting up further in the chair.

"Because I wouldn't allow myself to get attached. I just saw every home as a temporary stay. A rest stop if you will" Jieun said.

While Chanyeol sat amazed by how positive Jieun was being.

"That is until I moved in with the Choi's. They treated me really nice and I was comfortable. That's actually around the time I met Suzy and became friends with her.
But a year later. The wife thought that I wanted to steal her husband from her.
He was like a father figure to me so it wasn't like that. But since he spent most of his time with me , I guess she got jealous......
Anyway, she kicked me out. And by that time Suzy and I became close enough to move in together. Fast forward a few months and bam here we are" Jieun said before topping her story off with an angelic giggle.

Which was music to Chanyeol's yoda ears.

"How are you so positive?" He asked. Making Jieun laugh.

"I could be asking you the same thing"

"I mean yeah they call me the happy virus. But wow! Your purity is inspirational" Chanyeol said. As Jieun broke into a blush.

"Gomawo. I just see it as, difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations. I just haven't met mine yet" Jieun said as her eyes glanced around the rusty apartment.

Chanyeol smiled as he climbed closer to Jieun. To where he was only a few inches from her face.

"Maybe you have"

He said before crashing his lips onto hers. Putting passion into every lip bite and tug they exchanged throughout the makeout session.

Ending the night on a great note~

"I don't want a lot for Christmas. There is just one thing I need!"

Baekhyun sang in the background of the current video chat that the four of them tried to have.

"Don't care about the presents. UNDERNEATH THE CHRISTMAS TREE!"

"Baekhyun shut up! Your giving me a headache" Suzy said rubbing her temples.

"Don't be a Scrooge" he mumbled sitting down next to her again.

"Looks like someone's excited for tomorrow" Chanyeol pipped from the other end of the screen.

That's right your heard him folks. Tomorrow's the last practice heist before the real thing.

"And the snow has melted enough to meet back up. So what's the plan?" Suzy asked.

"Let's just meet up where we first met"

"The convenience store" Baekhyun said smiling .

They talked a little more until they bid eachother farewell. And shut down the laptop.

"I guess it's time for me to go" Suzy said looking at Baekhyun. And he was already pouting.

"You don't have to"

"Yes I do" Suzy said standing. She would agree with the next person that she had officially overstayed her welcome.
It was time to go home.

"If you say so" Baekhyun said rolling his eyes. And standing with her as he slid his hands around her waist and pecked her lips like a chicken.

Suzy giggled, lightening his mood. Before they both went downstairs.

"That just let me know that the things you love the most will always hurt you in the end"

They heard Kai say from the living room.

"I told you not to bite the chicken while it's still hot!" Chen yelled. Before everyone's attention shifted to Baekhyun and Suzy.

"I'm leaving everyone" Suzy said. Which earned different responses from Exo.

"Aww really" Kai cooed.

"Already!!" Chen yelled.

"When did you get here?" Yixing asked.

"Aww that's to bad" Sehun and stretching out of the couch and winking at Suzy.

"Yah do you have a death wish you hornbug!!!" Baekhyun yelled. Before Suzy took his hand and had him guide her out of the house.

Like they originally planned.
