Baekhyun's POV

Suzy and I sat in front of my laptop while we video chatted with Chanyeol and Jieun from the apartment building they were currently stuck at.

I woke up and walked to take a leak when I say out the bathroom window that Jack Frost visited us last night.

And boy did he over do it.

"So guys what are we going to do. We literally have three days until-"

"I know. I know. We can still come up with something" I said cutting across Jieun.

"Like what?" Suzy said.

It was a long quiet pause while we all tried to think of something. And the one person that broke the silence was the brains of our operation.

"I have an idea! Okay, so in order to execute a successful operation. What is something that you need?" Jieun asked.

"Food?" Chanyeol asked.

"No"

"Weapons?"
Suzy asked and Jieun rolled her eyes.

"No"

"What about-"

"No!" Jieun yelled and I frowned.

"You didn't even hear me out" I said and she sighed.

"Trust me Baekhyun. I knew it couldn't be anything good. It never is"

"Okay so what is it then?" Suzy asked.

"Trust"

"Trust?" We all said in unison.

"Yeah! We didn't even know each other that well when we did the Halloween heist. But now we know a little but not enough about each other"

"What does trust have to do with anything?" I asked.

"If you can't trust the person your risking your life with then what are you doing?" Jieun said having a valid point.

"Okay so how are we supposed to trust each other then?" Suzy asked.

"Let's take this snow disaster to get to know each other better" she said smiling. And I looked to Suzy while she chewed on her lip nervously. Which made me frown.

"Alright I'll let you guys get to it" Chanyeol said while he waved bye. And I did the same before the screen went black.

I then turned my attention back to Suzy.

"Gwenchana?"

"Uh.... yeah? Why do you ask" she said suspiciously.

"You tend to bite your lip when your nervous" I said grinning. And she looked away from me.

"I'm okay"

"Alright. So should you start or should I start first?" I asked and she sighed.

"I think you should start first" Suzy responded turning around and sitting criss cross in front of me.

"Okay. What do you want to know?"

"Uh....how did you get your first job?" Suzy said throwing out a random question.

"Do you really want to know?" I asked and she suddenly became more attentive.

"Yeah. Was it bad?"

"Well.... this is how it went. I walked into a pizza pub restaurant. I didn't have any money at the time but I hoping to con them for a free one. So I walked up to the counter and was waiting to be served when-"

"Somebody arrested you for trying to con them?" Suzy said with a little to much excitement.

"No! I saw an employee only sign on a door behind the counter. So I got up and walked back there. And when I entered one guy said 'you can't be here this is for employees only'
And I looked at him and said 'then how am I back here then?' And bam, they hired me on spot" I said and Suzy looked at me like I was stupid.

Sadly it's a look I recognize because I see it all the time.

"Are you serious?" She asked and I shrugged.

"What can I say. They were sold on me" I said and Suzy shook her head.

"Anyway your turn. Ask me what you please"

"Okay uh....... what's your biggest weakness?" I asked and started to think.

"I can be uncooperative" Suzy said and I nodded slowly.

"Okay give me and example"

"No" she said and I chuckled.

"I see what you mean"

Time passes and we talked about what we like and dislike in general. And when I finally felt like Suzy had lightened up. I finally asked the question that I've been dying to know about.

"So... what was your life like before you went to college?" I asked and just like that. Suzy's smile disappeared.

"Uh just like any other child I guess" she said diverting he gaze away from me. And I sighed heavily before taking her hands into my own.

"Look at me Suz" I said. And she slowly brought her eyes back to mine.

"If your not ready to tell me about your past then I'll give you time. I'm not going to force you to do anything you don't want to" I said lowly and she took in a deep breath.

"It's not that. It's just...."

"Just what?" I asked.

"Every time I talk about it. It makes me get into a bit of a depression state. So I just try not to think about it nor talk about it" Suzy said and I nodded.

"Then we don't have to talk about it" I said smiling. And she shook her head.

"I want to tell you. But, just promise me something" she asked lifting her pinky. And I smirked before responding.

"Okay. What is it?" I asked lifting my own pinky.

"That you won't abandon me once I tell you" she said which made my small smile completely disappear.

What does she mean abandon?

"Of course" I said before linking my pinky with hers and pushing our thumbs together.

"Okay. Where do I start...... well my parents were quiet wealthy. Do you know who Jung Soojin is?" She asked and my eyes widened.

"YY-You mean Jung Soojin. Thee Jung Soojin who basically owns all the five star finance company's in Seoul?" I asked and Suzy just nodded timidly.

"Ne that's my appa. He and my omma were the greatest parents I could ever ask for when I was a little girl. But once I hit the age of thirteen and started becoming a young woman he accused me of doing things I was too young for. And word got around to his very tight knit groups that I was a easy girl" Suzy said and I just listened.

"Then some of his friends would hit on me at parties once I had turned fifteen and my appa would watch and even encourage them. And once they found out it was okay they would even bid me for money. And my father went with the highest bidder . Which happened to be some creepy old man"

Suzy said cringing.

"And I was forced to get married to him by the age of sixteen. As long as he payed my appa a generous amount of money. And once the wedding was over he......he abused me behind closed doors" Suzy said as tears started to appear in her eyes.

" I told my mom and she didn't do anything. She was too much of a wimp to stand up for me against my appa. And this went on until I was eighteen. Old enough to get a divorce and that's exactly what I did. And once my parents found out they kicked me out of their lives." She admitted as tears started to stream down her cheeks.

"I'm so sorry" I said crawling to her and embracing her in a hug. She only cried a little while before she was calm again.

"I didn't know" I mumbled feeling bad. She shouldn't have relived those horrific events just to tell me.

"It's okay Baekhyun I wanted to tell you. I just hope you keep your promise" she said timidly.

"Why would I abandon you Suzy?"

" I thought if you knew I was married before that you wouldn't want anything to do with me" she said and I shook my head.

"That's was out of your control. I would never leave you. We're in this together remember?"
