Flashback~

"Mama!" Lance giggled, jumping up towards his mother, who walked into the door of their home.

"Hello dear" Katie giggled, swinging Lance around, "I hear it's someone's birthday today"

She smiled and nuzzled her nose against Lance's, who smiled, his ocean blue eyes were wide with curiosity, "Its mine mama! It's mine birfday!" Lance giggled.

"How old are you turning? Two?" She laughed, and Lance gasped in fake surprise, "No mama! Five! Five!" Lance laughed.

Katie set Lance down, "Well then we'd better get your cake, huh?" She smiled, taking his hand. "Is papa goin' join us?" Lance smiled.

"No, not now, but, he got a present for you!" She handed him a small present with the name "lance" on it.

Katie smiled and sat down, watching him open it, and gasp, "It's a car! A towy car!" Lance giggled, making it ride in the air, "Mama! Look! Vwoom Vwoom!"

Katie smiled and picked Lance up, "Yep! It's a car!" She walked to the kitchen and set him on the chair, facing a cake, "Look!"

Lance gasped, "Its a Car cake mama!" He smiled, watching her light the 5 candles on top.

"Happy birthday to you," She began singing, her voice soft and sweet. "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Lance," she paused, smiling at his happy blue eyes. "Happy birthday to you" she finished, watching him close his eyes, making a wish, and blowing out the candle.

"Mama! You want to know my wish? You wanna know?" He asked, smiling.

"Of course I do, honey!" She smiled, "what did you wish for?"

"I wished for us to spend lives together! Fowever!" He giggled, reaching to his mom.

Katie picked him up, "That's a beautiful wish, Lance" She smiled. "I wished alongside you, would you like to know what I wished?"

Lance giggled, "Yes mama! Yes!" He cheered, and Katie giggled, "I wished for you to be the strong little Lancey i know you are"

Lance smiled, "then I'll be strong mama! For you! Always!"

Lance felt a tear drop down his cheek as he held his mom's hand, her eyes closed,

"Always.."
