Sorry this is out so late. I was at Movie world all day and was only able to update it now. But I just wanted to point out 42 subscribers! Whaaaaaaaaaaat? Thank you all!
Mark's POV
Sean hasn't shown up for school since the incident. He was probably to scared. But I desperately needed to talk to him about what happened. I need to know what is going on. Rumors have already spread throughout the school and everyone is talking about it. I feel sorry for Sean though. I'm pretty sure it wasn't his fault.
I walked through the town I live in. It was a fairly small place but everyone knew me for my powers. Sometimes I wish they didn't. I was distracted from my thoughts by a car flying at me. I caught it and dropped it in front of me, wondering where it came from. My thoughts were soon answered by people screaming and running in the opposite direction. I peered around the side of the car to see a super villain.
Her long black hair turned into burning fire. Her eyes turned red and balls of fire burned around her hands. Her outfit had fire patterns all over it. I had heard about this villain. I think her name was Phoenix. I don't know. But she did need to go!
I stepped out from behind the car and ran up to her holding my hands up to form an invisible sphere around her, cutting her oxygen off. She tried to struggle but within seconds she was choking and gasping for air. She collapsed to the ground unconscious and I released my power.
"Well that went way easier with you around." I heard a females voice call out. I turned and saw a girl about my age with long, wavy, green and blue hair. She smiled at me and walked over.
"Um... Psycho right?" I asked. She nodded and held a hand out, her blue eyes sparkling.
"Nice to meet you Mr Mark," she said in a mixed accent. I couldn't quite pinpoint it though. I hesitated before shaking her hand but the moment our hands touched there was a flash of different colours and my hand felt like it was burning. I pulled away from her grip and fell to the ground. I blew on my hand to try to stop the burning sensation and looked back up at her. She was laughing her head off but looked at me apologetically.
"Sorry about that. I keep forgetting that happens. But now that I've touched you it won't happen again," she said holding her hand out. I didn't take it this time. I just climbed to my feet myself.
"Why did you burn me!?" I growled at her. She just giggled.
"Well it was either that or an electric shock. And that makes you feel all tingly, though it does give you a good brain massage," she said while making weird hand gestures and smiling crazily.
"Now I understand while they call you Psycho," I said while walking past her to Phoenix. I knelt down next to the super villain and checked to make sure she was still breathing. Thankfully she was. I let out a sigh in relief.
"You think she had a motive?" I jumped when Psycho appeared next to me.
"What do you mean?" I was curious as to what she was implying.
"You know. Was there a reason behind her attacking Heroesville (so smart aren't I?) As in, was there an intended purpose behind her coming here. No villain just shows up and destroys a the place for no reason. They gotta have a motive." I smiled at her.
"Psycho you're a genius!" I shouted grabbing her shoulders. Then I realized I didn't get burn or... Shocked.
"You know, you don't have to keep calling me Psycho. I have a proper name," she said with a semi-annoyed look on her face. I released her shoulders.
"Well I don't know what that is so how am I going to call you that name?" I countered.
"Name's Cassie, but you can call me Cass," she said smiling softly. I smiled back and was about to ask her another question but she fell to the ground clutching her head. She groaned in pain and her eyes began to glow bright blue. I knelt down and tried to ask her what was wrong but she didn't respond. She blinked and her eyes returned to normal but she had a frightened look on her face.
"Oh no," she said shooting up and looking around every where.
"What? What's wrong?" I tried to ask but she seemed to have found what she was looking for. She ran off down a dark alley way. I was tempted to follow but I couldn't leave Phoenix here alone.
"Hey Mark!" I turned and saw Felix, his girlfriend Marzia and his best female friend Annwn. They ran up to me. "Who was that chick you were with and why did she just run off?" Felix asked a little out of breath.
"I don't know but can you watch Phoenix here while I find out?" I asked. He nodded and I ran down the same alley way Cassie had. Once I entered the darkened area my eyes adjusted to night vision and I was able to see everything. I saw Cassie up ahead and ran faster to catch up. She stopped by someone lying on the ground. He looked like he had been attacked. There was some bodies lying around him. They were either dead or unconscious but they weren't moving that's for sure. I ran to Cassie's side and knelt down next to her.
"W-why... Did... You run... Off... Like that...," I asked out of breath. She ignored me and lifted the person in front of her up. That's when I noticed it was Sean.
Well that was rushed a little. I hope you liked this though. I'll be adding the readers characters in soon... Probably next chapter actually but whatever. Anywhooooooo, good bye ;P
