Sorry this is extremely late. I tried to post this hour's ago but wattpad was being a bitch! So here it is guys :)

Mark's POV
I stood in shock as Cassie helped Sean up. He slumped in here arms and his head hung to the ground. He was shaking and looked like he was about to pass out. His breath came out in short uneven pants as he struggled to catch his breath.

"Come on buddy, what happened?" Cassie asked in an extremely worried voice.

"They.... Attacked....! Their.....Dads....," was all Sean could breath out before he slipped down Cassie's body. I stepped forward to help, but Cassie put a hand up to stop me.

"You can't touch him remember," she said with a serious tone in her voice.

"Who's... Here...?" Sean asked looking up. His eyes were glowing bright green but he closed them, shaking his head slightly. "I... Can't... See..... Again..." I felt sorry for him. I wanted to help but I couldn't. Cassie managed to pull him back up and was holding his arm over her shoulder with hers under his arm to keep him steady.

"Don't worry, its just Mark," she said softly. Sean's eyes widened and he shook his head.

"He saw," he whispered harshly, almost choking on the words.

"It doesn't matter if I saw or not. I want to help," I said sternly. He was silent for a minute before nodding weakly.

"Great, now let's go before more villains show up and we all get killed," Cassie said holding her free hand up for me to take. I glared at her, obviously not taking her hand. "Really, you're still pouting over a burn?" Cassie said rolling her eyes, making Sean snicker.

"You should shock him this time. Since you can do it now without being forced to," he said smiling. I hadn't seen him smile before.

"Nah, he'll get pissed and try to electrocute me back," she said grinning. "Besides, we need to get you home before you pass out again."

Without warning she grabbed my arm and a flash of colours swirled around me. I closed my eyes but the light shone through my eyelids. Within seconds it all stopped. I opened my eyes to discover I was inside what looked like a dining room. Two people sat at the table eating, a female and a male. As soon as the saw us they ran over.

"Oh my god, another attack?!" The female said. Cassie nodded.

"How many?" The male asked.

"Five, two more than last time. I'm surprised he was able to stay conscious," Cassie replied. They nodded and grabbed a blanket, carefully wrapping it around Sean. Then the male picked him up, carefully, and carried him out into another room.

"So why is it you can touch Sean but no one else can?" I asked curiously.

"Jack," was all Cassie said. I looked at her confused. "He prefers to be called Jack, not Sean," she said with seriousness in her voice. I nodded.

"So, why can you touch Se-... Jack and no one else can?" I repeated. She sighed and looked away.

"It's because I can't be affected by curses. Its not Jack's powers that kills people it the curse connected to it," she said without looking up.

"Cruse?" I was interested in what she was explaining. She sighed again and looked up.

"First you should know about our powers. Me and Jack have the same powers, his is just... Different a little. While I have the ability to harness and use other people's powers through skin contact, he can steal them completely. He used these powers against the villains that attacked the city," she said smiling, then she frowned after, looking down again. "But his father didn't like the fact that he was helping people. He was a villain himself and with the help of a witch he cursed Jack so that if he wanted to use his powers he would have to kill that person. We didn't know this at first and Jack accidentally touched his mother when he was helping her up. There was a flash and when the light faded Jack was unconscious and his mother wasn't breathing. Thankfully, I was able to finish the fight before the villains could do anything else. But.... I wasn't able to save his mother...  I wasn't strong enough back then and it left Jack devastated. He blamed himself for not knowing but how could we have known. He was so angry he hunted down the witch and stole her powers, he... Nearly got himself killed. If I hadn't followed him then he would have been killed by the villains. He killed so many just to seek revenge. And now he regrets it everyday. He swore he would never use his powers again. He covered up his skin and kept to himself whenever he was outside of the house. Sometimes in the house too. That's why he was so shaken that day in class. He thought he could stop himself from hurting people but he couldn't. He can't keep to himself forever you know. That's why I need your help," she explained, finally looking up at the end. I stayed silent as I processed all the information.

"Why me?" I finally managed to ask. She smiled slightly.

"Because you're the only one that can." I wanted to press further but the two people from before walked back into the room.

"Jack is resting now. Did you tell him," the male asked, Cassie nodded.

"Sort of. But its enough for now. Thanks for looking after Jack, Zero," Cassie said smiling. "Oh, I should introduce you guys. This is Zero," Cassie said while gesturing to the male. He gave me a childish wave. I smiled and waved back. "And this is Arianna," she said motioning to the female, who gave me a small smile to which I returned.

"So, what are your powers?" I asked the two. Zero stepped forward with a childish grin on his face, his yellow eyes sparkling. He brushed his white hair out of his face.

"I have super speed and the ability to manipulate fire, just like that flaming villain you defeated earlier today," he said smiling and making overreacting gestures. I smiled back before realizing something.

"How did you know I fought a villain?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.

"Hmm what?" He said, pretending he didn't know what I had said. He walked off into the kitchen.

"And I can fly, teleport and use telekinesis," Arianna said, drawing my attention away from Zero. She smiled and put a hand on my shoulder. "And Cassie told us." She followed Zero into the kitchen and I turned to Cassie. She looked at me with a guilty look on her face. It soon faded and she looked past me. I turned around and saw Jack standing in the doorway.

"J-jack? Are you okay?" He was leaning on the door and looked like he was struggling to stand. He looked up at me then his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he fell. I quickly ran over and caught him before he hit the floor. I held him in my arms but realized something. I turned and looked at Cassie.

"H-how.... How come I can touch him?"

How indeed? Why can Mark touch Jack? It's a mysterieeeeeeeee!! But I want to hear your ideas. What do you think?
