"Are you sure you want to try-try?" Ana asks as Mason nods his head. It's been two weeks since the snake bite and he's been mobile for one of those weeks. He has tried to shift twice, but each time it causes him pain. Ana takes a breath and lets go of Mason. Mason talks to his wolf and they both are ready.

Ana watches as Mason gets to the same point and then falls over pain. She rushes to him. "I told you-you." She says in a caring voice. She helps him to his feet. She can tell it's frustrating him, but she doesn't know what to do.

"I'm going to go for walk." He says and walks away from Ana. Ana watches as he walks away and then goes back into the house.

"Still nothing?" Grace asks.

"Yeah. I don't know what to do, he's getting so frustrated with himself-himself." She says looking back outside.

"Just hope he will be able to." She says.

"How's the little guy?" Ana asks turning back to Grace.

"Same. I had to practically shove David out of the house today." She says lightly laughing.

"Still can't believe you didn't tell us before," Ana says shaking her head at her.

"Well with everything else going on and then their parents, I just didn't want to add more stress." She says rubbing her little tummy.

"It might have brighten the household." Ana says. Grace smiles and then looks annoyed.

"If he mindlinks me one more time." She says and Ana laughs.

"Well, I hope you guys have fun going back to your pack."

"Yeah, hope that my dad doesn't try to kill David." Grace replies making Ana smile.

"Nah, they love it," Ana says and Grace shrugs.

"So, what about you and Mason?" Grace question. Ana takes a seat, which only takes her two times before she stays sitting.

"I don't know. It just doesn't seem right, right now." Ana says feeling her cheeks get warm.

"Well when you go into heat, you'll be saying something different," Grace says lightly laughing.

"Heat-heat?" Ana questions confused.

"Once a werewolf is marked she goes into heat once a month until the mating process is complete. Pain is all over your body and the only thing that can make is not as bad or stop is your mate." Grace says. Ana's eyes go wide and Grace laughs again. "Just how it is."

"Well, fabulous. Why only after being marked-marked?"

"I don't really know. Just how the moon goddess made it." She says shrugging again.

They sit in silence for awhile. Just staring out the back yard. "Do you miss being in a pack-pack?" Ana asks turning back towards her.

"Yeah, I was raised with a ton of others like me. Never hiding, always learning new things about being a werewolf. I'm not used to this life, but I love David and I know he's not ready to join my pack, even if he wanted to." She says with a small smile.

"Your pack would let him in?" Ana asks.

"Well yeah. My Alpha is nice. He's not like what people expect Alphas to be." Grace says. She then gets up to grab some food. "Always hungry." She says as Ana laughs. "I'm going to go watch tv and probably take a nap." She says. Ana nods to her before staring back outside.

Ana sits on the ledge again looking outside. She finds it really comfortable. She holds her warm cocoa close. She finishes the drink and sets it on the counter. She grabs her phone and starts to play a random game.

A few hours later she doesn't hear Mason come in. She only notices when there is a big wolf staring up at her. She takes a sharp intake of breath. She sets her phone down and makes her way over to him. He stares at his mate. "Mason." She whispers happy he was able to shift.

I see you. Those three words have her stund, she doesn't know what to say or do. 

 Of course, my hair is just thrown up today and I'm in a baggy sweatshirt and tights. Both her and her wolf think.

They both stare at each other. Ana sitting on the floor while Mason stares and walks around her. He puts his nose in her hair. "That tickles." Ana laughs and lightly pushing his big head away. "Your so soft." Ana says brushing her hand over his back.

Mason loves the way she looks smiling. he jumps a little making her laugh more. "You want me to go for a run?" She asks. He nods and Ana smiles.

They walk outside and Ana goes behind a tree to change. Once she's in her wolf form Mason rubs by her. Ana takes off running and Mason chases after her.

"Mason you can't stay in your wolf for forever," Ana says as he lays on the couch. "You've been in your wolf form for almost 24 hours." She says. She knows he's afraid to change back, but he'll have to.

Ana feels something in her stomach and then feels pain. She holds her stomach. Mason's wolf comes by her concerned and then he changes form not caring that he's naked in front of her. "Ana?" He says concerned. She shakes her head, but he doesn't understand. He then remembers now that she's marked, she's going to be going into heat. He picks her up in his arms and lays her down on the bed. He puts boxers and pants on before walking back over to her. 

"Ana, you'll be ok. I promise." He says grabbing her in his arms. He takes her shirt off and holds her close to him. He rubs his hand up and down her back. She clutches to him and then kisses him.

Ana feels some pain go away while kissing him. She continues to push herself closer to him. "Ana. Ana." He says moving her hands from his pants. "Ana this isn't you. Your wolf is in heat." He says trying to get her focus on him.

"No I-"

"Ana just trust me ok. I can help, but not like that." He says. Ana lays into him more and he's glad she listened. He lays her down, much to her dislike and kisses her neck and up to her lips. He has to remain in control for her, and it's harder to now that he knows how beautiful she looks.

Ana lays in bed lays across Mason. He continues to play with her hair and just keep imagining her in his head. He wishes he could see in his human form, but loves that he got to see her beautiful face. Ana stirs and groans.

She feels that she's in her bra and underwear before remembering about last night. Her face heats up instantly. "Morning." Mason says noticing her heart rate is up a little.

"Good morning." She mumbles not wanting to move. The pain isn't like yesterday, it's a dull ache now.

"Are you alright?" He questions. He knows about heat but doesn't remember how long the worst period lasts.

"Yeah." She replies still blushing. "Thanks for not...letting me go too far." She says getting red. Her wolf had taken over last night and isn't as reserved as she is.

"I know it wasn't your intentions, but your wolf is kinda forward." He says smiling. Ana laughs. Well just wait until Ana lets- Ana interrupts that thought before she can get any redder.

"Yeah, she's more open than me," Ana says burying her face in his chest. Mason laughs more knowing her face has to be red.

"That's alright. I still love both of you." He replies and Ana feels a smile form on her lips.

"Hey, can you see?" She asks bringing her head up.

"Only in wolf form." He replies and she lays her head back down.

"Have you tried to change again?" She asks wondering.

"Not yet. I think I'll try later." He says running his hand through her hair. "You're so beautiful." He says picturing her smile.

Ana laughs. "I threw my hair up, had my glasses on instead of my contacts and was in a baggy sweatshirt."

"I don't care. You're still the most beautiful person in the world." He says making her cheeks heat up again.

They both lay there for a while and then Ana gets up to take a shower. Mason hears that weird noise again and feels pain in his chest.
