It hisses as the poker goes through the body. Ana grabs the other stick and starts to smash the snake. Ana continues to do this until David runs in.

"Ana. Ana, it's dead." He says and pulls her away from it. He leans her against the wall before running over to his brother. Ana stares at the snake. She throws the poker and sinks to the floor. Right then Kelly and John announce they're home. They make there way to the back room and Kelly gasps.

Kelly looks at her youngest on the floor and sees David doing things to his side. "Ana. Ana I need your help." He says. Ana snaps her head towards him. Shakily she crawls over to them. "You need to keep his focus on you, do whatever you have to." He says looking back at the wound.

Ana nods holding his head in her hands. She puts her head closer to his. "I-I s-sorry, b-but I had t-to do-do it." She says as David calls his dad over. Ana glances and sees that John is going to have to hold Mason down. Ana turns and lays Mason's head in her lap. "Mason, honey. I want you to just listen to my voice ok." She says and wipes a tear from her eye.

"Mom, you are going to want to leave." David says and Kelly nods as tears roll down her cheeks.

Mason groans again. "Hey, Mason. I need you to focus. Ok, focus on me and only me." She says and she hears him whisper something. Instead of asking what he said, she begins talking to try and keep his attention on her. "I had another vision and I want to tell you about it. It was us as kids again." She pauses and looks up at David and then John. David nods and tries to give her a reassuring smile. "We were play fighting and my mom always told us to be careful, but this was the championship. We both wanted to win, but I had tackled you to the ground. Once I got you I got off and cheered, but that when I noticed that you didn't get up. I had run over to you and shook you. I had-" Mason yells out in pain and Ana keeps talking.

She talks and talks until she realizes Mason's asleep and it's just her and David. "Is-is he g-going to be o-ok?" She asks and he nods.

"He just needs to rest. I gave him some strong meds so he'll probably stay out for a while. You should stay with him just in case he wakes up and gets confused. He might wake up a few times, but then just go back to sleep." David says after cleaning everything up.

"O-ok." She says and looks over to where the snake was.

"You were amazing today." He says before leaving. Ana strokes his hair as tears run down her face.

Ana hasn't moved and is still stroking his hair when Grace comes in. "Ana. You should get some sleep." She says softly.

"I'm fine." She says not even looking over at her.

"Ana, I'll stay with him, but you need to get sleep."

"I can't. I won't be able to. He-he left because I was mad." She says and Grace shakes her head.

"It's not your fault. For all we know, it came from the little pond out there and snuck in. You saved him Ana." She says and watches as Ana stays motionless. "You didn't do anything wrong." She says before walking out. Ana wipes her eyes for the millionth time. Mason then groans.

"What's wrong?" He mumbles and tries to sit up. He hisses in pain and Ana pulls him back down.

"Stay still." Ana says her voice almost breaking.

"What's wrong Ana?"

"You-you were bitten...a snake." She says and Masons shows confusion. "I'll tell you later." She says and he grabs her hands that are on his face.

"Why are you crying?" He asks holding her hands on his chest.

"I-I was s-scared." She says and he turns his head in her lap.

"Scared of what?"

"You could have died. I-I can't-" He senses her panic and knows he needs to calm her down. 

"Ok. Shh, you aren't going to lose me because of a snake ok. Lay down next to me." Ana slowly moves and lays down. Mason pulls her on his chest ignoring the slight pain on his side. "Shhh, it's ok." He says running his hands up and down her back.

David walks into the room and see's the two. "You're up." He says walking over to his brother's side. Ana tries to get up, but Mason holds her tighter. "You won't be doing anything for the rest of this week." He says looking at the bite.

"Wonderful. Can I get off of this cold floor please?" He jokes and David lightly laughs.

"Mom, Dad, he's up." He yells. Kelly comes running into the room. Ana makes Mason let go of her and Kelly grabs her boy's head.

"You are going to give me a heart attack." She says and kisses him on his cheeks.

"Thanks Mom." He says wiping his cheeks.

"Dad can you help me get him into his room. Mas, looks like you won Rock, Paper, Scissors." David says as he goes to one side.

"Haha." Mason replies sarcastically. The two men lift him up. Grace was in the room making sure all they had to do was lay him down.

"Grace and Ana, can you get the stuff to change the bandage?" He says. The two girls nod and silently walk out of the room.

"Why is she so shaken?" Mason immediately asks.

"Well first of all because you could have died," He says and Mason sends him a look, but the look is too much to the right so it makes David laugh. "She also had to take the poison out of you while hearing you scream, which would be hard for anyone let alone being the first time she has ever had to do something like that. Then the snake came into the room, which she then beat to death. She had your blood on her hands and then I needed her to distract you even longer while I finished. That's a lot to handle and not being able to take the pain for your mate, didn't help. She sees it as she was causing you pain." David finishes as the girls enter.

"I'm staying home from work tomorrow. He understands and since I've never canceled, except for yesterday, he doesn't mind too much." Ana says handing David the rest of the stuff.

"Ok, well I'm going to show you how to change the bandage then." David says. Ana nods and walks over to the other side of the bed.

Ana pays close attention and does what he says. "And that's it. Simple." He says. Ana nods and throws the old one away.

"Good night." Kelly says to them. John had gone to bed just a little bit ago.

"Yeah, night." Grace says and David follows behind. Ana goes to get changed and when she goes to put her pants on she feels a wave of dizziness. She grabs the wall and finishes pulling her pants on, but when she moves away from the wall she gets it again and falls to the floor.

"Ana?" Mason says. "Ana?" He says again more urgently.

"I'm fine." She says staying on the floor. She tries to make the room stop turning.

"You don't sound fine." He says and gets ready to move.

"Don't. You stay in bed." She warns. Mason mindlinks his brother and he quickly walks back in.

"Ana what did you eat today?" He questions sitting her up.

"I don't know, but I'm going to puke." She rushes and grabs the little trash can by the nightstand. She only pukes up grey and then Grace walks in.

"Grace make sure he stays in bed." He says and Grace nods walking over to Mason. David helps Ana to her feet, but just picks her up because she can't walk.

He sits her in a chair and she wobbles. He grabs a yogurt. "Eat." He says while grabbing other food to give her some carbs and protein.

"Grace let me get up." Mason says annoyed.

"She's fine. She just needs to eat some food and she's with David." She says for the tenth time.

"But-"

"Mason, just take a deep breath for me will you." She says pushing his head down. Mason grumbles at her, but she doesn't care. He wouldn't even make it out of the bed.

Mason doesn't know how long it is, but when he hears Ana he feels like it's been hours. "Both of you just sleep." David says looking exhausted himself. Grace wraps her arm around him and pulls him back out of the room.

"Why didn't you eat anything?" Mason questions as Ana lays down and pulls the covers higher.

"I was too worried about you to eat." She says moving closer to him. He wants to argue that she needs to keep up with that, but honestly, he just wants her in his arms and for them to just sleep. That's exactly what he does.

Ana wakes up before Mason does. After changing his bandage she takes a shower and eats breakfast. She stares outside thinking of nothing really. Can we please go for a run. Her wolf begs for the thousands time. Not after what happened with Mason. If he wakes up and we're gone he'll panic and try to walk. She replies making her way back to their room. Before she makes it there she realizes that she didn't count her steps.

Ana walks back and forth trying to make it seem right. If she doesn't it could harm someone. It would cause something bad to happen. 

Mason wakes up and hears pacing. He listens and realizes it's Ana. His parents are still asleep in the next room. Mason moves and feels the pain in his side. He holds back from making any noise.

Once he's gotta himself in a sitting position he pushes his phone and it tells him the time. Around 8 in the morning. He stills hears Ana walking back and forth. As he moves his feet to the floor he hears a strange noise. He doesn't really know what it is, but after the noise goes away he feels sick.

He leans over to where the little trash bin is and pukes up whatever is in his stomach. Once he's done he hears Ana walk into the room. "Mason you should be laying down." She says and walks over to him. She carefully lays him back down and then changes the bag in the trash bin.

While she's out there she calls David. "David?"

"Yeah, what's wrong?"

"He just threw up. Is that supposed to happen?" She asks worriedly.

"Well...no. Just make sure he stays hydrated and tell me if the bit looks any different."

"I just cleaned it like 40 minutes ago and there wasn't any infection."

"Ok, just tell me if anything else happens. I gotta go." He rushes and then hangs up. Ana walks back to their room and places the trash bin on top of the nightstand next to Mason.

"You need to drink this." She says handing him a glass of water. Mason grabs it and finishes it. Ana sets it down feels his forehead. What's wrong? Her wolf questions concerned. I don't know.

"I'm fine." Mason says taking Ana's hand from his head.

"No you're not. You have to stay put." She says grabbing a book. "You need to sleep." She says closing his eyes. He keeps them closed but puts right arm around Ana's waist. Ana just looks down at him and waits for him to fall asleep.
