Reaching the Safe Haven, Thomas thought that he would be free, safe from all the horrors of the outside.
The Cranks, the Scorch, WICKED, the brunette had defeated them all.
But there was something that haunted him ever since he came into safety: the deaths of his friends.
Newt, Chuck, Teresa, the visions of their limps bodies, the look of guilt and pain on their faces... the sights never left his mind.
So each day, he would pay a tribute to the fallen.
His little brother, his best friend and the love of his life.
They deserved so much more and Thomas was going to make sure that they were given the right send-off rather than what they were given.

this is very film-based (i loved the ending, best scene for me) with hints of the book. i will interpret some storylines just so it suits my own view of thomas.
