Chapter six

"Raven! Raven! Raven!" Raven awoke to hear and find George yelling at her and jumping up and down on her bed. She rolled over and kicked him in the shin, in an attempt to make him go away.
"Go away!" she told him sleepily, as she failed to make him move.
"Raven Drusilla McCloud! How dare you tell me to go away!" George yelled, hitting her repeatedly over the head with a pillow. She ignored him and simply pulled the covers over her head, in a futile attempt to get back to sleep.
"Tell him to shut up Gin!" she groaned. Ginny just laughed.
"I'm with George on this one, besides if you don't get up, you'll never find out if Krum is hot or not." Ginny coaxed. Raven shot out of bed, almost pushing George on the floor as she did so.
"I'm up!" she declared. Earning a scared look from George. She shrugged.
"What? Apparently he's hot." she said. George got up and walked off, looking disgusted. They heard him mutter the word 'girls' as he did so. After George had left, they burst into peals of laughter.
"Boys." they said in sync.
When Raven, Ginny and Hermione (who had returned from the bathroom looking extremely confused) entered the kitchen, Harry and Ron were already there.
"Harrypoo! Ronniekins!" she greeted the two boys, who looked at her and laughed.
"Good morning Rave." They returned her greeting whilst speaking in sync and grinning evilly at her.
"Rave? Again?" She asked, frowning in confusion.
"Nickname for a nickname." Ron answered her question. She nodded and started to eat her breakfast.
The twins entered the room, followed by Reece, who looked shellshocked at the early morning wake up call.
Raven hugged the younger boy sympathetically. "Morning Reecey." She grinned at him. He mumbled a tired 'good morning' back at her and bit into a slice of toast.
"Where are Bill, Charlie and P-Percy?" Fred asked through a yawn. He sat down at the table and looked like he was stopping himself from falling asleep.
"Well, they're apperating, aren't they? So they get a bit of a lie in." Mrs Weasley explained, giving her son a plate of food.
"Is Levi coming then?" George questioned, making the others look at Mrs Weasley.
"Charlie said he's going to try and make it, but there's a chance he may not come, as he's been really busy with work." Mrs Weasley recounted what her son had told her.
"I'm lost, who's Levi?" Harry asked, frowning and looking to his best friend for guidance.
"Charlie's best friend." Ron explained, waiting for Hermione to question something.
"Does he work with Charlie in Romania?" Hermione asked. Ron nodded.
"Yeah." He answered her question, glad it wasn't anything that needed much thought.
When everyone had eaten, Mrs Weasley shooed them all upstairs to get ready and collect their stuff, at least everything they wished to take with them. Raven, Fred and George gathered in the twins' room to sort things out. They (the boys) had decided to sneak the remaining ton tongue toffees out of the house in case Mrs Weasley found them and lectured the twins, yet again.
"Right, Raven you take these, she won't suspect you of anything." Fred said, passing the girl a portion of the sweets. She shoved them deep into the depths of her bag with a nod. The two boys hid the remaining sweets about their persons and then, praying their mother wouldn't suspect them of anything, left the room. Raven, looking slightly doubtful, followed.
"What have you got?" Mrs Weasley homed in on the twins, who were trying hard to look innocent, and she knew as well as anyone, that if the twins were feigning innocence, then they usually had something to hide. She was of course right. Using the summoning charm, the woman soon discovered all of the toffees the boys were trying to hide. Fred was right about one thing, Mrs Weasley didn't suspect Raven of a thing. The girl was itching to check on the sweets in her bag, but fought the urge to do so.
"Conceal, don't feel." George mouthed at her from behind his mother. She moved her head in the smallest of nods to show him that she understood. Mrs Weasley binned the toffees.
"We spent six months developing those!" Fred moaned as he watched (most of) their hard work being chucked in the bin. His mother rounded on him at once.
"A fine way to spend six months! No wonder you didn't get enough owls!" She shrieked. Mr Weasley decided to cut in, and stated that they had better get going, soon they had started walking and the house was getting smaller and smaller in the distance. When the burrow was just a mere speck in the landscape, Raven pulled the twins aside. She pulled the toffees out of her bag, split them into two groups and handed some to each.
"Keep them safe." She told them, both nodded and then brought her in for a huge hug.
"We love you Raven!" George stated, he spoke jokingly of course, but there was something else in his voice as well.
"I know you do!" she told them, causing them to laugh. She grinned at them both, "Besides, what would you do with out me, huh?" she asked, causing them to laugh again and then the entire group fell into silence, the hike up the hill taking more of the sleep-deprived people's energy, making it harder to talk.
They were about halfway and had stopped at a large tree to wait for someone, at least that's what Mr Weasley told them.
An older man and a younger boy joined the group and greeted them happily.
"Hey, it's Cedric!" Raven explained, causing most of those around her frown at her in confusion.
"He tutored me in herbology last year?" She told them, still earning blank looks.
"Hufflepuff quidditch team? Called for a rematch when the dementors tried to kill harry?" That explanation got a few 'ahh, him' reactions.
"Hey Raven!" Cedric greeted her, she hugged him back and whilst they hugged, harry had to hold back a laugh as he noticed the expression on the twins' faces. They already hated the boy for beating them at quidditch, but hugging their best friend made them detest him. Raven joined her two best friends as they began to journey toward the port key again.
"You never said HE was the one who tutored you in herbology!" George said, she frowned at him.
"I said it was Cedric Diggory, who do you think I meant?" she asked, wondering what on earth had put the sour expression on her friend's usually happy face.
"Not him." George responded.
"Why are you being so weird about this? We're just simple friends, its not like I'm going to replace you or anything." She told him, Fred shrugged showing that he was fine with it after her explanation.
"Why him?" George grumbled, Raven sighed and walked off, going to find Hermione and Ginny, whom she considered better company at that moment in time.
"Don't leave me with him!" Fred yelled aftewr her dramatically, earning no response. He sighed and looked at his twin. "What has gotten into you today George?"
his twin only shrugged.
Ginny and Hermione listened to what their friend had to say and then looked at her with sympathetic expressions on their faces.
"Oh Raven, it's obvious." They said at the same time. They had now reached the portkey, where a tall, brown-haired person was waiting for them, and it took most of them only a few seconds to realise who he was.
