Chapter twenty one

"Where have you been?" Lee asked loudly as soon as Raven finally joined him in the hall to watch people put their names in the goblet.
"I got a detention." She said, greeting both Lee and Mercury, who was sat beside Lee.
"Why?" Mercury inquired. Raven laughed.
"Lexa and I were singing in class." She answered.
"Lexa Lestrange?" Lee asked. Raven nodded.
"She's nicer then the rest of her family." She shrugged.
"Why were you singing in class anyway?" Lee asked.
"We were making up a song about plants." Raven shrugged again, it had been such a good song.
"She gave you a detention for that?" Mercury asked, looking surprised. Raven shrugged.
"Yep."
Everyone suddenly began to cheer. Raven and Lee groaned in perfect sync. Fred and George had entered the room.
"What?" Mercury asked, frowning in confusion.
"They're going to try and enter the tournament." Lee answered as Raven had buried her face into his shoulder.
"I can't watch." She murmured fearfully.
"I don't blame you, they are quite ugly." Ron commented as he and Harry appeared behind them, sitting beside Hermione, who was already there.
"Brewed it up just this morning!" Fred and George were still bragging to the audience.
"It's not going to work." Hermione commented pompously. Raven hated it when the girl acted like that, but she knew the younger girl was right, it most certainly would not work.
"Oh really?" Fred asked. Raven groaned and didn't even attempt to remove her head from its position, buried in Lee's shoulder.
"That's an age line, Dumbledore himself put that there, you won't be able to fool it, especially with something as incredibly dim-witted as an ageing potion." Hermione answered.
"That's why it's so brilliant." Fred began.
"Because it's so incredibly dim-witted." George answered, before the twins looked at their best friends.
"Besides." The twins turned to Raven and Lee. "You two support us, don't you?"
Lee and Raven looked at each other and said the exact same thing. "No comment." They most certainly did not support it.
Fred and George shrugged and took two small bottles out of a bag.
"Ready Fred?"
"Ready Georgie."
"Bottoms up!" The two drank the potion and jumped over the age line, successfully entering their names in the goblet of fire.
Raven buried her head in Lee's shoulder again. "This is all going to go horribly wrong." She muttered.
"I know, I know." Lee agreed, before hitting Raven on the shoulder, so she would look up.
The twins had been hit with their entry paper, which had spurted out of the goblet and hit them, knocking them backwards. They sat up and looked at each other. Raven snorted. They had sprouted long grey hair and beards.
"Dumbledore wannabes." Raven muttered to Lee, causing him to burst into laughter.
"Oh god Raven, I do love you." He spluttered, tears falling from his eyes from laughing so hard.
"And that's why we're besties." Raven responded. Lee nodded, managing to breath after his laughing attack.
"I did warn them." Hermione muttered. Raven looked at her.
"Yes, but you know what they're like Hermione, they never listen." She told the younger girl, but Hermione shook her head.
"They listen to you." She pointed out. Raven sighed.
"They used too, everything's changing now Hermione, and by the way some Durmstrang students are staring at you." The dark-haired girl pointed out. Hermione shook her head rapidly.
"No they're not." She muttered.
"Sure, sure." Raven said, but her attention was taken by Victor Krum, who had just entered the room.
"He's still not as hot as they all say he is." She sighed, looking disappointed. Lee wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"You thought he was hot?" Mercury asked in confusion.
"They said he was." She replied with a sigh. "But he looks like a bird."
"That's why you have me, because I'm as hot as everyone says I am!" Lee exclaimed. Raven snorted.
"Oh sure." And then she looked disgusted as everyone cheered at Krum entering the tournament.
"If he gets to participate, I'll cry. He's famous, he already has fame, he shouldn't be allowed to enter!" She ranted.
"No one cares about that though Raven." Mercury spoke up for the first time in a while. She frowned and then looked at him.
"You entering Mer?" She questioned. He nodded.
"I put my name in yesterday." He answered. She grinned at him.
"Hope you get it." She said excitedly, then frowned. "Don't die."
"Thanks, but I doubt it, it'll be one of Madame Maxime's favourites. Like Fleur or Marie." Mercury answered.
"Mer, you're forgetting that she's not the one choosing it, the weird ass cup chooses the wizard, or witch." Raven smirked.
"I guess so." He answered. Raven got Lee to remove his arm from around her shoulders by tapping him lightly on his head, then she walked over to Mercury and put her arms around him.
"I believe in you Mer, it'll be great, I promise." He returned the hug and managed a smile for her.
"I guess so."

"Raven, we'd better go and see if Fred and George are ok." Lee said a while later, the twins had been sent to the hospital wing to be de-bearded.
"Yeah, they'll kill us otherwise." Raven nodded, before bidding Mercury goodbye and following Lee out of the room.
They met Fred and George at the door to the hospital wing.
"You two took your time." Fred stated. Lee shrugged.
"Raven and Mercury were discussing whether Fleur Delacour or Victor Krum is hotter." He answered.
"And who won that argument?" George asked.
"Raven." Lee smiled at the girl, who was smirking.
"It's easier to win an argument about Krum when he comes and helps you win it." She answered.
"You talked to him?" Fred asked, his mouth hanging open in surprise.
"He's actually a nice guy." Raven and Lee said in sync.
"I think I may be in love." She added dreamily.
Neither noticed the sour look on George's face.
"Come on, let's go." Fred decided, frowning at his brother. The four set off down the corridor.
