I walked into this book store. It looked just as old and cool as it did on the outside.

"Excuse me? How did you get in here?" said an old woman's voice.

I turned to see the woman looking at me weirdly.

"Yes you." she then said.

"Umm. Through the front door? Why" I said.

She stared at me for a few more minutes.

"Am I not aloud in here?" I finally asked.

She raised an eyebrow.

"Only special people can see this place. What are you? Witch, Werewolf, Vampire, Physic, Grimm, what?" she said, like those were everyday questions like the weather.

"Are you crazy?" I said as calm as I possibly could.

She looked shocked. Then it was like the light bulb went off in her head.

"By any chance, were you adopted?" she asked.

Now she's asking personal questions?!?!

"WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!" I yelled.

Before she could respond I run out the door.

Did I just swear?!?! Whoa. That was rare, like, REALLY rare!! I ran until I got all the way home.

Well, I had an awkward conversation with my parents. I decided to ask them if I was, in fact, adopted. They were shocked, then, I saw guilt in their eyes.

They told me of how my mother had died when I was born and that my dad was not even listed on my birth certificate.

Then they told me of how no one even knew who she was. That it was all a big mystery. After that I had heard enough. I ran out of the house. I needed time to think.

I was wondering around for a while till I walked across the street from the little shop in the ally that I had been in before. I decided to go back in and see were she was getting at.

When I entered I looked around until I finally found her. I had told her what my 'parents' had told me.

"Did they tell you her name?" she asked after I was finished.

"Yeah, they said that it was Lily Kathryn Anderson."

A/N: Major plot twist!!!! I had used her mothers last name instead of the name of her adoptive parents in the descripion!!!! Hehehe. Aren't I sneaky?
