Lira up there

Josh POV

  It's been two months since Lindsey and Ryan have been gone and I'm kinda numb to things at the moment. It's hard that my two friends are gone but at least I still have Troy and Lira still here with me. We cut that wack ass nigga Trey off. In fact, him and Troy fought last week because Troy found out that he was talking shit about him with his brand new friends. I just find it funny how people switch up when they get around new people. Some act like they never knew you while others take on this whole different persona. Like be yourself my man's, that's the best way to get people to like you. Hell even if they don't, at least you know that you didn't have to pretend. 

  Me, Troy and his dad still take driving lessons and I definitely have been studying the driver's ed book from front to back. I think I'm ready to take my test. Currently, me Troy and Lira are at the mall just hanging out and having fun. I just want to thank them for being there and trying to cheer me up the best way the knew how to. Speaking of that "Troy how did you run your dad car into a pole." I said as I bust out laughing. "He did what?" Lira said laughing with me. "Yup. His dad told me and I'm just now remembering that. I've been meaning to ask him that." I said as I laughed at the thought. We sat down by the water fountain while we waited for him to tell us the story.

  "OK so this is what happened. He took me out on the road and me being so damn hype and happy, I was like yeah I'm ready for that. It just so happens to be that on that specific day, everybody and their grandma was outside driving and shit. I instantly got scared as fuck but I wanted to show him that I wasn't a bitch so we got on  the road. I don't know what happened but we started off great then I forgot where the break was and I ended up running right into the pole. My pops was pissed because that was his childhood car that I wrecked so you know he fucked me up. Afterwards though, he got another car let me practice in it. This time though, I was extra careful not to crash this one. I couldn't afford to get them paws put on me again." he finished as we laughed at him. "Yeah yeah yeah laugh it up. It's not even that funny." he said as we still laughed. 

  "Yes it is. You got scared of being on a crowded road so your first thought was to crash the car." Lira said as we laughed even harder. It's funny because that didn't even make sense to do something like that you know? "Whatever come on, we have to get you some clothes for this party on Saturday." he said standing up. I stopped laughing and looked at him confused. "Wait what party?" I asked. "There's this party going on this Saturday and we figured that you would need something to pick you up after the what you been going through in the last two months.  We feel like a little bit of fun is exactly what you need at this moment." Lira said as I nodded my head. "I guess you guys are right. Troy tell you dad I'm ready to take my test though." I smiled. "Aww shit! Our boy is about to be on the road. When you wanna take it?" he asked me. 

  "This Friday if he doesn't mind." I said as I shrugged my shoulders. "Cool let me call him right now then." he said as he pulled out his phone. "We gotta make sure you look really good for that day kid." Lira nudged me. "That's fine and all but can we get something to eat first? I'm really hungry." I said standing up as my stomach roared. "That's cool, let's go then." Lira said as we continued with the rest of our day. 

 That Friday      

  I was super nervous to take my test but I've been studying super hard so I got this. I wore the clothe that Lira bought me so I hope this brings me good luck. I heard a car horn and immediately ran downstairs. "Where you going?" Nasir asked me. "To mind my business. You should try it." I said as I closed the door. Mr. Samuel's got out of the and walked over to the passenger side. "Um what's going on?" I asked him. "Well you're going to take your test so it's only right that you get used to being on the road." he said. I walked over to the driver side and buckled up. Before we headed out on the road, he said a quick prayer. Thanks a lot Troy. Luckily I got us there in one piece. "OK kid good luck and go and ace that test. We'll be right here." he said when they called my number. 

  I took a deep breath and sat down by the computer. Thank god for studying and Julian pop quizzing me. This test was mad easy. When the screen said I passed, I almost cried but I had to play it off and pretend like I failed just to see the looks on their face. "Well?" Mr. Samuels asked. "Looks like I gotta to do better next time..............because then I'll be a licensed driver!" I said as they jumped up in excitement. "Pizza on me." Troy said as his dad drove. "Now I can really celebrate tomorrow!" I smiled. After we got finished our pizza fiesta, they drove me home as Troy said he'd be there to pick me up around 9 tomorrow. I agreed and told him that  I would see him tomorrow. "Did you pass?" Julian asked as he came out of the kitchen. "Yup!" I said showing him the paper as he jumped excited around the house. 

     "Looks like the studying paid off." he said as we danced a little. "Yup now I'm mad tired to be honest so I'm just gonna head for bed. Thank you again for all the help." I said as he hugged me. I took a shower before nodding off. Looks like today was one of those rare good ones. 

  I woke up the next afternoon feeling excited and happy. I looked at the time and saw that it was close to 5:30. I quickly got up and showered. I have to do something about my sleeping habits. For the rest of the time, I spent playing video games and just waiting for them to text me. I've been ignoring Janine lately because I really didn't have the time for her ass. Finally, I heard the sound of my saviors and wasted no time getting out of there. "Ready to go kiddo? Congrats on passing your first try. You're one step loser to becoming an official driver!" Lira said as she hugged me. "Now it's time to celebrate!" I said as Troy drove. When we got to the party, it seemed like everyone was having a good time. I was definitely feeling tonight's vibes. "Let's get something to drink first, I'm thirsty." Troy said as we walked through the kitchen. 

  Busta Rhyme's What It Is was blasting through the speakers as we all danced to the music. Out the corner of my eye, I thought I spotted someone familiar. I looked and sure enough was someone that I knew. Ryan. I wonder if that's his girlfriend that he's dancing with. "I'll be right back you guys." I said to them as I walked to where he was. I tapped him on his shoulder and his face instantly lit up. "Nice to see you here. Looks like you're having fun." I said as I waved to the girl. "Josh." was all he could say as I walked away from him. I just wanted to say hi to my friend that's all. When the song ended, I head back to the kitchen for some chips or something to snack on. I didn't even make it to the kitchen before a hand grabbed mine and dragged me outside. Great now I'm about to die. Just when things were going great. 

  I was about to say something when I finally say something, I saw the person face. Great now I can say what  I been meaning too. "Hey Ryan, I just wanted to say that I'm-" was all I got out before he crashed his lips on mine. I got this weird feeling in my stomach but I continued to kiss him back. "I've been wanting to do that since you left that day. I could't stop thinking about it and it's even better the second time." he smiled. "I thought...You and Lindsey.." I stumbled. "Josh, it's always been you. Lindsey is cool and all but my interest was on you. That interest grew even more as I got to know you. Josh you're a really cool guy and I really want to see where this goes. That's only if you agree to it." he said looking into my eyes. 

  "But...you moved." I said. "Stop avoiding the question. I'll explain only after you give me your answer." he said not breaking his gaze. I bit my lip and thought about the question. He's a really nice guy so I guess I could see my self with him. I guess that also means that I'm into guys now huh? "Yes I'd like to see where this goes." I smiled at him. "Your finally mine." he said as we kissed again. Those lips are mad soft. I laughed when he back away. "Now tell me." I said to him as he walked us to sit. "Before you left, I was gonna tell you that I my family were moving. It was something that was planned long before we met but I never actually thought the day would come that fast. I didn't want to tell you at the time because you were still getting over Lindsey getting kicked out and all that. I was gonna tell you but I didn't know when."  he said as he looked at me. 

  "Besides we only moved up north. Granted its about a half hour away but I'm still here. Now I have even more reason to be down here." he said pecking me. Excuse me, I'm blushing mad hard right now. "I really don't want to be here right now. Want to come back to my place and play some tekken?" he said smirking. "First you gotta answer my question, who was that girl you was dancing with?" I said with my eyebrow raised. "You cute when you're jealous but she was just some random girl that was trying to get the dick. That's all." He said as he smiled at me. "Why haven't you been responding to any of my text messages?" he asked with his eyebrow raised. "I just thought it was pointless since you moved." I said shrugging my shoulders. 

  "Damn that was a little cold. I'm here now though so I hope you do respond tomorrow." he said as I looked at him. "What about to- Ohhhh OK." I said finally catching on. We said good bye to our peoples and we walked outside to a car. "Wait you drove here?" I asked him. "Yeah. A lot happened in two months." he said as he got in the car. On our way to his new house, I just felt a sense of happiness come over me. Y'all thought we was gonna play the game? Well we did play a few rounds before it turned out to be a make out session (he made a bet that every time he loss, I had to give him a kiss. Not really a fair bet but yeah). We spent the rest of the night just watching TV before I fell asleep on his chest. This was a good day indeed. 

See I always make it worth it.
