Chapter 5
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Garroth asked as I laced up my boots.
"I'll be fine!" I replied, shaking my head.
"Are you still mad at me?" I let my foot slam into the ground.
"Do I look like I'm mad at you?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"...Kinda." I shook my head, and slid my dagger into my boot. "You're bringing your sword, right?"
"Garroth!" I snapped. He stepped back.
"Sorry." I laughed.
"You worry too much sometimes." I shook my head. He stepped in front of me, and gently placed his hand on my cheek looking at me with sad eyes.
"Well, I have a perfectly good reason to." He pulled me into a kiss. I immediately kissed back, and snaked my arms around his neck. I heard the door open, and then slam.
We pulled apart, and the door opened again, slowly, and in Laurance walked. I blushed darkly, and continued to get ready, pulling on the jacket I was ever so kindly given, then sheathed my sword. I turned around to see Garroth staring at the ceiling while Laurance gave him the evil eye.
I glared at Laurance and he backed down. "You're going to be careful, right?" Laurance asked.
"Holy Irene, now you sound like Garroth." I yelled. "I. Will. Be. Fine. I. Am. A. Adult. Not. A. Child."
"Well, you act like it sometimes," Laurance mumbled. Garroth quickly backed away as I walked over to Laurance, and slapped him, back handed.
"Minime!" I snapped, and then walked out of the guard's station, and ran off to meet Nekoette, Leona, and Aphmau for our walk in the woods, or exploration.
I had told them to go ahead, and I'd find them. Along the path that we'd said we'd take the girls came running up to me. "(Y/N)~Chan!" Nekoette yelled.
"What's wrong?"
"Aphmau said to run back to the village and then send someone after her." Leona explained. I drew my sword.
"Nekoette, Leona if I'm not back in five minutes send help. Go. I'll go get Aphmau!" I yelled. They ran toward the village, quickly. "And make sure no one gets left behind!" I yelled.
I heard Aphmau's voice. "APHMAU!" I screamed.
"AARON!" I heard in reply. I found this puzzling, but continued in the direction of the voice. I saw Aphmau holding her sword, and a man.
He looked like one that I had seen right before that explosion when... yeah. I charged at him, and flipped in, slicing off its head, and when the decapitated head hit the ground it turned back into its true form, revealing an Imp.
I let out a shaky breath, and walked toward Aphmau, who was crying. I knelt down in front of her. "Are you-"
Everything around me faded. And it stopped to reveal a girl with dark pink hair, and teal eyes. She looked vaguely familiar. She had a sick grin painted on her face as she glared playfully at her sword.
There were also several dead Tu'la guards lying on the ground.
Aphmau's P.O.V.
I watched as (Y/N)'s finger raked through her hair as her eyes grew blank. She let out a shrill scream, and fell over, curling up and shaking. I grabbed her arm, and tried to pull her up, but she wouldn't move. "(Y/N)!" I yelled.
"Stop!" She screamed in reply. I didn't know if she was talking to me or if she was talking to herself.
"(Y/N). We have to go. It's almost nightfall."
"Aphmau!" I turned my head to see Dante.
"Dante!" I cried desperately. "(Y/N) won't move. I don't know what's wrong! She- She's like... I don't know!"
"That's okay. I'll get her." He said. He walked over to her, and picked her up. She clutched the front of his armor.
"They're all going to die," she whispered as she went limp in his arms. I felt my eyes widen as I stood up.
"Who is she talking about?"
"I don't know," I bit my lip. "C'mon let's bring her back."
Garroth's P.O.V.
I paced back in forth in the plaza. "Garroth stop pacing, it's making me nauseous." Laurance complained.
"They should have been back two hours ago, Laurance! What if something happened? That's your sister out there!"
"Which is why I'm not freaking out."
"What!?" I snapped.
"I know she is perfectly capable of handling herself. You should stop worrying so much."
"I can't help it," I replied and continued pacing.
"Garroth! Laurance!" I turned to see Aphmau with Dante behind her, and (Y/N) in Dante's arms.
Laurance and I exchanged glances, and ran over to them. "Is everything okay!?" I asked.
Dante set (Y/N) down on the bricks. "She just passed out... but..."
"But what?" Laurance asked. I noticed the confused look that was imprinted on her face.
"I'm not sure what."
"Hmm, does it have to do with the relic?" I asked.
"I think it might." Aphmau spoke up. We looked over at her. "The last thing she said before she passed out was 'They're all going to die.' And before that she looked like she was in pain, and she was screaming."
"But who's going to die?" Laurance asked. I moved some hair from her face.
"Tu'la guards," she mumbled. "Tu'la... Ivy... Zane."
The last word pierced my heart as I stared at her face. She still appeared to be out cold. Aphmau backed away, tears in her eyes. Then (Y/N) sat up straight, and screamed out a single name.
Aaron.
I noticed everyone's eyes widened as she stared straight ahead. "(Y/N)?" I was the first to speak. She turned to face me. "Do you know who Aaron is?"
"Who?" She asked. I shook it off.
"What just happened?" She bit her lip, and seemed to be holding her breath.
"(Y/N)." Laurance urged.
"I think I saw the future again..."
"AGAIN!? What do you mean again!?" I yelled.
"Back during the test the day of the certain event I... I may or may not have predicted a few things... like meeting Aphmau. Vylad, and some girl being together. A courtyard where someone appeared to be dying, a sword through their gut. A name."
"What name?" Aphmau asked.
"Alina... does that have some sort of significance?"
"No. Not at all," Aphmau shook her head.
"What did you see this time?" Dante asked.
"A girl with dark pink hair, tealish eyes, and some strange looking sword. She looked very happy, but in a not so good way. Um... Tu'la guards, all of them dead lying in the streets. Or at least I think they were Tu'la guards. There was a lot of pain, I know that, I'm not sure if it was mine... um, a boy, a shadow knight to be exact. Black hair, blue eyes... uh. Someone was yelling 'Ivy' and lastly... I saw Aphmau standing in that same court yard yelling out the name Aaron."
Your P.O.V.
I knew everyone was looking at me, and it made me uncomfortable. I stood up. and walked away quickly towards the water. I knew they could still see me as I knelt down in the shallows, and let the tide lap against my body, calmly.
What did I just do?
