"Oh! That's Heatherpaw! I talked to her at a gathering once." He replied to her comment

"Oh... I didn't need the name but thanks!" She replied to his answer and she soon heard Ashfur calling out from the thorn tunnel.

"Well," Lionpaw said as he got up "I better not keep Ashfur waiting. You too."

"Oh right! We have some battle training today! I forgot" and Lionpaw let out a chuckle. Without warning, he blurted out as he dashed by her, "Race you!". There was NO WAY that she would let him beat her and she took off and raced as hard as she could. She reached Ashfur before Lionpaw did and when she turned around to look where Lionpaw was he was only halfway! Her jaw dropped in shock and she quickly lifted it and turned to Ashfur.  

"You were quite fast there," Ashfur commented

"Y-yeah I guess so" she stammered, amazed by her speed. Lionpaw came soon and panted.

"How in silverpelt were you that fast?" 

"I-I dunno I just was." She shrugged and her mentor, Sorreltail soon caught up to them,

"Shall we get going?" She asked and Ashfur nodded in response the four walked to the mossy clearing where Poppypaw and Berrypaw were training and their mentors, Thornclaw, Cricketpaw's father and Brambleclaw, the clan deputy was teaching some battle moves.

"Okay so, what we're going to do is you and Lionpaw are going to fight each other, in any way possible to get your opponent on the ground," Sorreltail explained.

"And remember, Claws sheathed" Ashfur added as Lionpaw and Cricketpaw got into position.

"Ready...... Fight!" Sorreltail yowled. Lionpaw attacked first as he leaped onto Cricketpaw's back and she swiftly swept under his body and pawed his belly with her claws sheathed. Lionpaw let out a growl and swiped at her back leg which caused her to lose her balance. Lionpaw took advantage and pinned her to the ground. 

"Lionpaw wins!" Ashfur declared 

"You know you get off of me now mouse brain," She teased playfully

"Oh, I'm  the mouse brain?" He replied playfully as he got off her. She smirked and nodded. He rolled his eyes and they headed back to camp to sleep. On the way back Cricketpaw smelled a hare. She instantly dropped into a hunter's crouch and stalked the hare. Ashfur scared it off with a flick of his tail which rustled some bracken. 

"Mouse dung!" She hissed as she darted after the hare. In one Massive leap she pounced on the rabbit and quickly bit its neck. She carried her catch back to the group where they had met up with Poppypaw's training group, Poppypaw stared at her with jaws open, 

"You were so fast! It was like you were running with the speed of Leopardclan itself!" She commented.

Berrypaw nodded" You seemed faster than a Windclan cat!" 

She shrugged and continued to walk back to camp. She soon dropped her catch in the fresh-kill pile and spotted Jaypaw coming out of the elder's den and he walked up to her. "Wanna share?" 

"Of course!" She purred and he picked up a nice blackbird.

"Blackbird okay?" He asked

"Of course!" Blackbird was one of her favorites! So the two crouched down and shared prey with their pelts brushing. She blushed and they soon finished eating. She got up and walked to her nest and went to sleep.

Cricketpaw opened her eyes the area around her was green and fresh and glowing, the sun was bright and in the sky. Where was she?

"Hello, Cricketpaw." A tortorshiel cat with a white muzzle stood in front of her.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Spottedleaf. I was Thunderclan's medicine cat when Firestar came to the clan"

"And I am Bluestar. The leader before Firestar." A blue-furred cat approached the two

"Where am I?" She asked the two cats.

"Starclan's hunting grounds," Bluestar replied. Starclan? She thought.

"Now We haven't got much time to tell you this," A gray she-cat with yellow eyes appeared beside Bluestar and Spottedleaf, "I'm Yellowfang by the way. The medicine cat of Shadowclan then The medicine cat after Spottedleaf"

"Whaaa???"

"Never mind!" She snapped and then turned to Spottedleaf, "Tell her"

Spottedleaf sighed and then started to talk "There was a prophecy long ago that was uttered, You are one of the cats in the prophecy. Your speed and swiftness will help guide you and the other cats in the prophecy". Soon the cats faded,

"WAIT! Don't leave me!"

Soon Cricketpaw awoke in her own nest and gasped. It was still the middle of the night. She decided to go take a quick walk. She spotted Brackenfur guarding the entrance to the thorn tunnel.

"Where are you going?" He questioned.

"Just for a walk. I need to clear my head". Thankfully the golden tabby shrugged and didn't question her. She let out a sigh of relief and walked out of camp where she ran into Jaypaw and Leafpool coming back, The sun had started to rise, and gave them a questioning look. She went ahead of them and continued to walk to camp. On her way back she smelled a mouse. Istincevly she dropped into the hunter's crouch and began to stalk the mouse as quietly as she could. 

Pawsteps light, eyes unblinking and.......... Pounce! She delivered the swift bite and said, "Thank you Starclan for this prey, I will take no more than I need." She murmured and took her catch back to camp with her. 

"Where have you been?" It was Lionpaw. She dropped her catch in the fresh-kill pile and replied,

"I went out for a walk and I scented mouse so....." 

"I see. Welp, Brambleclaw has you, me, and our mentors on the dawn patrol". Cricketpaw groaned.

"Seriously?"

"C'mon, it won't be so bad... I think"

Lionpaw had predicted wrong and the patrol had run into a VERY angry badger, thankfully though their mentors fought it off. 

" ' Won't be so bad' huh?" She panted as they raced back to camp.

"Okay so maybe  I was wrong but..... At least we can eat!" Cricketpaw rolled her eyes and Jaypaw came out of Firestar's den.

"Hey,"  Cricketpaw said as he walked by "Want to share?"
"OOOOO" Lionpaw said teasingly. Cricketpaw gave him a look and ignored him

"Sure." Jaypaw seemed pleased, so the two shared the mouse that Cricketpaw had caught on the way back from her walk. 

"Jaypaw! Come here! I need you quick!" Called Leafpool from the entrance to the medicine den. Jaypaw grumbled and stalked off the Leafpool's den. He soon came out and asked,

"Leafpool needs herbs, will you go with me?"
"Sure!"

The two walked out of camp and she asked, "What herb is it this time?"
"Tansy," he replied. The pair soon found an enormous clump of tansy growing next to some ferns,

"Hey, Jaypaw come and collect some!" She said with her jaws full. She soon heard a growling noise and froze in shock, A fox?!?!? Oh, Starclan. The fox lunged at Jaypaw and scratched his flank and Cricketpaw tried to leap onto the fox's back and succeeded and raked her claws down the fox's back as hard as she could. The fox flung her off and she landed on the floor. The fox was charging for Jaypaw. Oh nonononono. She darted in front of Jaypaw as he screeched, 

"NO!". But it was too late.
