Liam's POV:

"Hello, is this Lucas?" A male voice asks.

I swallow hard, "Uh yes, and this is?"

"Oh, hi. This is Braylee's dad. Um, I was just wondering what she would like for her birthday this year? I haven't known her for about four years, so I'm a bit rusty. Help me out a bit?"

I smirk, Braylee's birthday isn't until November, and it's March.

"Oh, yes. Over the years, she has started liking some bands like Fall Out Boy." I bite my lip, knowing she absolutely despises those bands.

"Fall Out Boy, eh? Well, thank you Lucas. You've been a lot of help."

"No problem, sir." I hang up first.

He was looking through her phone. Meaning he knows something's up.

I sigh, rubbing the back of my neck.

He's closer then we all suspected.

Braylee's POV:

I grab my phone from my dresser, and open it easily, and I look at my texts.

One from Lucas. As in Liam. I knew my dad would recognize Liam's name, so I changed it.

From Lucas:

Your dad called me from your phone. Apparently my name is Lucas? Good cover up. Anyway, he's onto us. He knows something. He wouldn't have been looking through your phone if he didn't. I advise you to put a password on the damn thing.

I roll my eyes, and reply.

To Lucas:

Well first off Lucas, I don't like your attitude. Second of all, I don't like passwords, because soon I'll forget it. And, are you positive he doesn't know who you are?

I press send, and wait for his reply. A few minutes later my phone lights up.

From Lucas:

Well get one anyway, for Christ Sakes, Braylee. You can't risk him knowing anything. Anyway, I'm pretty sure.

I rub my arm, and send one last text.

To Lucas:

Okay.

I quickly go to my settings, and get a password onto my phone. Something no one could ever guess.

I lie my phone down on the screen, and rest myself down onto my comfy bed. My dad walks in as soon as my eyes close.

"Bray-" His voice gets quiet as I hear his footsteps near me. I open my eyes only a tiny bit to see him pick up my phone.

He sets it down frustratedly, and walks out. I look at my phone as soon as he's gone, and see the words on my screen.

LOCKED FOR 20 MINUTES

I smirk, Liam was right. 20 minutes later, I type my passcode in, and look over my notifications.

I see a little 1 pop over my messages and click on it. I look, and see it's an unknown number. I click on the messages, and furrow my eyebrows at what I see.

From Unknown:
