Prologue

After saving a little girl from a human trafficking trade, the girls and I went back to the lab to relax.

"Ugh, those guys were tough." Said Miyako.

"No kidding.. I thought I could done it within seconds.." Said Kaoru.

"Let's just be glad that the girl is safe."

The girls nodded their heads then to see the professor coming into the living room. He didn't say anything, but hearing a loud slam of his door. We didn't bother him so we left, giving him some peace. The girls and I were strolling around the town to see people with disgusted faces as they see us. I looked over to the girls who were just as confused as I. The little boy ran towards us, stopping to catch his breath.

"Did you girls really use the professor to get money off of him?" Said the little boy as we were really confused.

"No, no. We're not using the professor for money."

"But weren't you girls using the mayor to get power?" Said the little boy.

"Listen here kid, we don't know what bad things you heard about us that isn't true at all." Said Kaoru.

"Oh really?" Said the boy as he took out his phone and started looking in it then showing us pictures of us, that's been photoshopped, doing such an nasty act such as touching the professor's crotch, wooing the mayor, and etc. We were shocked to see that, I could sense Kaoru fuming, but I held her arm, just in case she goes in a rampage.

"..This..this isn't true." Said Miyako.

"You hesitated a little which means it is. Now I got proof!" Said the little boy as he ran off. Kaoru tried to go after, but it's a good thing o held onto her.

"Momoko..let go." Said Kaoru.

"Kaoru, let's not make the situation worse."

"The situation is already worse. The people of the town looks at us. They know about who we are and the lies they believe." Said Kaoru.

"But Momoko's right. Let's just leave that as is. Maybe things will become a tad bit better." Said Miyako.

The girls and I decided to return home with all the looks people gave us. Not knowing who did that, we must keep our composure. I returned home to see my mother in the living room with her arms crossed. Mother must've heard about the rumor.

"Momoko." Said mother with a cold voice, making me flinch.

"Yes, mom?"

"I've seen and heard things that have been going around since last week. Is it true?"

"Mom, it's not true. It's to blackmail the girls and I."

"Momoko."

"Mom! They're all fake! You must believe me!" My eyes started to water.

"Momoko, you being a hero is another thing. I want you to quit that."

"Mom!"

"The professor might be having such a hard time to believe the rumors so I want you to quit. By quitting, I hope all of this rumors die down. My co-workers were talking badly about me."

"You..Really.."

I ran up to my room, locking myself in to cry.

Kaoru's POV

"I'm hoome!"

As I closed the door behind me, I heard a huge slam of a door to see pops marching to the living room angrily then facing me.

"Kaoru, what's the meaning of the pictures I see?" Said pops.

"Pops, those are fake."

"Just a simple thing for you to say.."

"It's not real! It's fake!"

"KAORU!" It's no use for me telling anymore... as I gritted my teeth.

"Here I thought you'd believe your daughter than those liars!"

I march to my room, locking myself in punching my pillows. I knew I should've kicked that kid.

Miyako's POV

"Grandma, I'm home."

"Miyako come here!" Yelled grandma.

I flinched to hear grandma yell at me for the first time. I entered the room grandma was in as I was about to seat myself on a cushion, grandma hit her stick on the floor.

"You don't deserve to sit on the cushion."

"..Grandma.."

"Silent!" I looked down, trying not to cry.

"I didn't raise you to be such a whore brat." My eyes started to water.

"If you wanted money, get a job. It's better than leeching off older men."

"Gran-"

"Don't try to talk back to me!" Yelled grandma," if you're parents were to hear this, they would've been disappointed as well."

I couldn't hold back my tears, I get up and ran to my room. I texted the girls about what happened.

Momoko:
What will we do now?

Kaoru:
We obviously ignore
what people say to us. I'm not going down
just by what shit people say to us.

Me:
Is it okay if we just
stay in our rooms forever?

Kaoru:
No. We'll not go down.

Momoko:
Yeah..Let's do this together.
Let's stick together.

Me:
Alright.

The next day

School was terrible, my friends started annoying, all the girls calling us whores and the bullying happens everyday that the teachers doesn't do a thing about it if it's dealing with us. As the days go on, people start throwing things at us, starting fights, and marking our homes. We come home injured, but a long stare is what we receive. Nothing is getting better. It gets worse. Our families doesn't care properly take care of us. We headed to the professor's lab to have the front door locked as we inputted the passcode properly.

"Sorry girls..." Said Ken.

"..Ken.."

"It's fine. We understand." Said Momoko.

"And we'll do you a favor too. We'll get rid of them like our beings." Said Kaoru.

"..Girls."

We left the professor's lab and headed back to our homes. We decided to leave around midnight, packing our things in a backpack, retrieving money that I saved up from my allowance. Staring into the window, things that happened felt like it was just in one day. Thirteen-year old girls, being framed and caused to run away. Yes, that's how the story will go. People will have their minds change, but it'll be too late to apologize. After a few hours, the girls and I transformed, meeting up at a spot to find a place to reside in, where no one would truly know about us.

After days of traveling, we come to a country where it's ruled by royalty. As we landed in the country, the land was filled with magic, we can tell bcs I feel a bit lighter than back at our home. A place that was in fictional children's books is actually real. The place was quite beautiful. We landed in a plain with a town nearby. We took off our belts, letting Kaoru destroy them and it was broken into pieces. I had the pieces transferred into my blue checkered handkerchief , tying it up then placing it in my bag to throw it in a trash can. We headed to the town.

"This place is quite beautiful." Said Momoko.

"It a different country." Said Kaoru.

"Listen up, try not to act weird. Kaoru, try not start up fights." Said Momoko.

"Let's just have Momoko do all the talking."

"I agree with Miyako." Said Kaoru.

As we reached the town, it looked like it was from a children's book, the houses, the people, the town itself. A man, who wore steampunk clothing and had a lance on his back, came towards us with a smile.

"Welcome! Where are you ladies from? Looking at the clothing of yours, you must've came from the capital." Said the male.

"Oh..Um..We're foreigners." Said Momoko.

"Oh? It's a first to hear foreigners coming to this country. We don't have such incredible technology so you might have to get used to this." Said the male.

"It's alright." Said Momoko.

"I'm part of the guards of this town so I'd like to help you girls out. How long will you be staying here?" Said the male.

"Actually, we want to reside here."

"Oh? We'll be gladly to have you here!" Said the male.

"Don't we need to sign something to be a citizen here?" Said Kaoru.

"Yes, you do. How old are you girls?" Said the male.

"We're 13." Said Momoko.

"13? You need to stay in the for about 3 years to be officially a citizen. Since you girls are still kids, I might have to transfer you to a center where kids with no parents are living and learning." Said the male.

"Oh thank you very much."

"Also I'll say that you girls ran away from home because the usual story." Said the male.

"That's actually true." Said Kaoru.

"Oh..My bad. /fakes a cough to break the awkwardness/ Let me show you the way." Said the male.

As we followed the male guard through the town, we see children following us with glistening eyes and the adults with huge smiles on their faces. It's warm in this town. We arrived at a building that long horizontally. Entering, we come to see a young woman at a front desk.

"Good day." Said the woman.

"Good day to you ma'am." Said the male.

"What brings you here with these girls?" Said the woman.

"These girls ran away from him because of abuse and here they are." Said the male.

"I swear you just bring in children time to time, but it's fine. How old are you girls?" Said the woman.

"We're 13." Said Momoko.

"13? You girls are the oldest in the bunch. Most of the kids here are around 5-9." Said the women as she chuckled.

"I'll be taking my leave." Said the male. We bid him farewell then had our attention to the lady.

"Okay, so my name is Maria. I am the owner and caretaker of kids who has no where to go." Said Maria.

"I'm Miyako."

"I'm Momoko." Said Momoko.

"I'm Kaoru." Said Kaoru.

"Nice to meet you, girls. Do you know anything about this place or rules?" Said Maria.

"Uh..we don't know about ANYTHING in general." Said Kaoru.

As Maria asked us questions about us, we were put into 5-7 year old class to learn about the country we resided in. We were in town for a few weeks and everything is quite lively.
