Chapter 2
Austin was terrified. He was laying down in the backs seat of his captors truck with his hands and legs tied. He could try to yell for help, but no one would probably hear his plea for help and he did not want to end up with a bullet in his head.
That's why he had remained silent the whole ride.
Austin had no idea what time it was, but he guessed it had been about half an hour when they arrived at a small house is a forest. His captor pulled him out of the truck and unbinded his feet. Austin once again felt the gun on his back as he walked over to the house.
The house was a small dirty white building, and Austin was pretty sure it did not have a second floor.
When they got inside his captor threw him in the bathroom, still not saying a word to Austin. Austin heard a click as the bathroom door locked. There were no windows in the bathroom, and nothing he could use as a weapon or try to escape, so he laid there on that cold tile floor, thinking about his parents, his house, and his life as he slowly cried himself to sleep.

Austin woke up to the door opening with his captor staring down at him. Austin observed his captor. He was a tall person, with brownish hair and a light beard. Finally, after what seemed like a long time of them watching each other, his captor spoke.
"My names Steve."
Austin didn't respond. This stranger had just killed his parents and kidnapped him yet he expected Austin to say something like
"Okay yay your my friend now and everything's just great."
After receiving no response, his captor stared at him a little longer then closed the door and walked away. Not far after Steve returned with a bowl of cereal and then walked away and returned to whatever he was doing.
Austin looked down at the bowl. There was no milk, but he didn't have much of an appetite anyways so he pushed the bowl aside. He hadn't gotten much sleep last night so he laid down and fell asleep.
When he woke up it must have been sometime after lunch because the bowl was gone and there was a plate with a slice of pizza and a glass of water beside it. Not bad for a prisoner. Austin thought. To their right of him was a few books.
He ate the slice of pizza and without much else to do read the books. The first was about some guy that crashed his car but instead of dying was like a ghost and could go around the world. It was pretty boring, so he started reading the other book which was about some magical guy that had cool powers.
After a while he got bored of both books. He never really liked books, they were just made up stories about people that had a problem then fixed it and lived happily ever after. But Sometimes you don't live happily ever after. Sometimes your parents get killed and you are imprisoned for the rest of your life.
