Tonys POV
I wake up around nine in the morning. Seven hours of sleep, not bad. I get myself out of bed, try to look somewhat decent, and head downstairs for breakfast.
It's quieter than usual. With Natasha around, more people would be laughing and making conversation. Instead, everyone is basically dead, but who am I to judge, so am I.
Bruce is slowly drinking a cup of coffee, Steve is eating some off brand cereal cause it's 1$ cheaper than the on brand. Thor is sleeping on the sofa and Clint is texting whoever is making him smile, probably his wife.
I open up the fridge and pull out a protein shake with my right arm. My right arm is technically broken, but what's gonna happen if I don't use the sling, ever?
When I sit down, Peters backpack was still sitting on the counter. I found his phone on the floor with a small crack in it. I assume it's dead and find a random charger and plug it in.
No one says anything for a good twenty minutes. We're all doing our own things. For me, I'm trying to arrange a therapist session for Peter. Was kinda hard to find one who was available, but if we have to drive halfway across the city to get Peter to open up, then we will.
"Has Peter come down at all, like before I woke up?" I ask with Peter on my mind. Everyone just murmured and shook their heads. I got up, grabbed Peters phone, threw away the protein shake container and went back upstairs.
The hallway was silent, I was expecting at least the faint sound of a video playing in Peters room.
I knocked on the door, but no one responded. I felt worried for some reason. Oh no, is this a dad feeling? Am I becoming a dad? I opened the door to see Peter sleeping peacefully on his bed.
The therapy appointment wasn't until 10, but the ride would take at least 30 minutes and he'd need to get ready, so I decided to wake up him up right now.
Peters POV
"Peeeeeterrr. Wake up buddy." Someone shook my shoulder and I moved away right away. It was just Tony.
I clear my throat, "Huh? I thought I'm not going to school?" Tony sits on the edge of the bed and I roll over, laying on my stomach, face down in the pillow.
"I have scheduled you a therapy appointment. It's at 10:45, but the ride is long and I thought you'd like some time to get ready and stuff." I shot up from my bed.Therapy? That's the last thing I'd ever want to do. Forcefully trust someone who claims to be a doctor and tell them your feelings? No thank you. Oh my god, does he think I'm depressed or something? Or am I just not as emotional as he needs me to be? Not crying every night, mourning the loss of May. Not everyone is like that, Tony.
"Uh, okay." I lie. Totally not okay. I roll over and grab for my phone, but it's not there. I look up at Tony, who has my phone in his hand.
"It was on the floor. I charged it for a good 30 minutes." I smile and take the phone from him. After turning it back on, all the texts load. There are dozens from Ned which are all 'sorry'. One from MJ and about five from Wade.
"I'm gonna head out, seems like you're pretty busy." He chuckles and leaves my room. I find my charger, and plug my phone in which was only at about 45%. I open IMessage and just ignore Neds texts. MJ was just asking if I'm okay and I reply with a simple "yeah". When I get to Wade, I find long paragraphs.
Hey peter. I hope you're okay. I know it's not my fault but I feel like it is. I mean, you don't have to be okay, but I do hope you're okay, even tho I said that already. It's fine if you're not at school tomorrow, I'll understand. I know the school well enough cause I had such a great tour guide ;). I was hoping we could hang out tomorrow after school. I'll obviously miss you if you aren't at school tomorrow, but I also just like seeing you Received 5:37PM
If you can't hang out I obviously understand. But if you can, you can come to my crappy junk hole so I don't stress you out about me coming to the Avengers Tower. Received 5:38PM
Honestly, I'm a little high rn. You're a great guy, I like you. I'm not tryna hit on you but you're really cute, I love your eyes. Received 5:38PM
OKay I gtg my dad bout to whoop my ass lmao Received 5:39PM
God he's such a dork. I reread the texts, feeling warm inside. I'm not sure if what he says is true, but if not, I do appreciate it. Obviously I'm not at school today, and Wade is probably in the middle of history, so he might reply.
Hey. Not at school today. We can hang out today, but idk what time. Tony scheduled me a therapy appointment which I don't want to go to. And I'm fine with you coming over to the Avengers Tower. Sent 9:34AM
I need to get ready, but I'm sure we can talk about everything else you said later :) Sent 9:35AM
I smile to myself and set my phone down. While picking out clothes I want to wear, I head my phone ding two times. I was about to go and respond, but decide to not. I'd rather talk in real life.
I head to the bathroom and set the clothes on the counter. I have my red Nike hoodie, which probably needs to be washed, and simple grey sweatpants. Maybe one day I'll actually wear real clothes.
The shower went by fast, nothing special. After drying myself off, I moisture my face and change into my clothes. My wet hair leaves a wet spot on the top of the hood, which I could care less about. Back in my room, I find socks, tuck them underneath the bottoms of my pants and slide on my slip on Vans. Taking my phone, I leave my room and try to prepare myself for therapy.
