Peters POV

Beep...beep...beep...

I hated hearing the sound of my alarm. Just the annoying beeping bothers me. Before, I almost never needed to use my alarm. May was always able to wake me. I only needed to use my alarm when she went over to her boyfriends house and stayed the night, I hated those days.

I slowly get out of bed and head to the shower right away. I grab my towel and head to the huge bathroom. When I walk in, the counter is filled with different face washes and acne creams. Inside the shower, there are a thousand different washes and cleansers and scrubs all on a rack. Before, it was just a shampoo, conditioner and soap. I shrug it off, it's not like I really need these things. I almost never get acne, I just have really dry skin and eczema (i actually have it, and it's the most annoying thing ever). I take a fast shower, and head into my room.

I look into my closet and I can see there's more clothes than there was before. In my drawers I have new jeans and sweatpants I would never ask for. There's new shoes that must have costed $100 each. Is this Tonys way of apologizing? With money? If so, someone needs to teach him communication skills.

Ignoring all the new clothes, I wear simple black ripped jeans, my red Nike hoodie and my Vans. My hair is soaked, and I know Tony must've bought me a hair dryer, but is there really any need to dry my hair? I grab my backpack and phone and leave my room.

Downstairs is quiet. The only person up is Bruce. I haven't really talked to him that much, only a few conversations.

"Good morning." He smiles and drinks his coffee. The smell is calming, and I end up making myself my own cup. When I sit next to him, we don't say anything. It's a few awkward minutes. Eventually, we make a conversation and end up talking about politics. I never really considered it to be my thing, but it's kinda interesting.

"So, Tony said I needed to drive you." He rinsed out both of our cups in the ginormous sink.

"I thought Natasha was driving me?"

"Tony talked to me last night about it. Apparently she had and early flight this morning. She has some work think in Europe. She'll be back in a week, though." Natasha's leaving? It made me worry a little bit, honestly. Ever since I've came here, she's been a mom to me. Her vacation better be short.

"Okay, well, you need to drive me around 6:45. I'm not sure how long it takes to drive to school, and considering traffic, I don't want to be late." Bruce nods and heads over to the couches. He turns in the news and they're talking about some new law about parking, too boring.

I turn on my phone and see a bunch of random text messages from a number I didn't recognize. The area code wasn't from anywhere in New York, so I assumed it was spam, or a wrong number. I ignore the texts and instead text Ned.

Hey Sent 6:33

You going to school? Received 6:34

Yeah. I need to get out of this place Sent 6:34

Glad you decided to come. I would've gotten bored without you Received 6:35

What about MJ? Sent 6:35

She's cool. You're cooler Received 6:35

Wow, thanks. I gtg. We're leaving soon. Sent 6:35

See you at school! Received 6:36

I knew I needed to brush my teeth because I could feel the plaque built up on my teeth. I ran  upstairs to my room, and not by surprise, I find a new toothbrush and toothpaste on the counter. I brush my teeth and head back downstairs.

"You ready?" Bruce is now standing up, ready to leave. I nod and go in the elevator down to the garage. It's filled with dozens of expensive cars. Half of them probably haven't been used in months. Bruce takes a car that doesn't seem to expensive, but not too poor. When we get it, it seems like a normal car, nothing fancy about it.

"I don't need a sports car to live my life. A simple Honda will do for me." I laugh quietly and buckle in.

The car ride was quiet. Bruce had on regular pop music, and I really wanted to change it to the R&B station. When May would drive me to school, we'd listen to it together and surprisingly, she knew most of the lyrics. It helped wake me up with a nice start to my day. I didn't want to seem rude, so I didn't change the station and almost fell asleep.

When I got to school, I felt a lot of stares. Like everyone's eyes had needles coming out of them and they were poking me. I just ignored them and walked into school as if it's a regular Monday.

When I walked inside, I could see everyone was staring at me. People whispered, but I could hear due to super hearing.

"Isn't he adopted my Tony Stark?"

"I heard he's living with the Avengers."

"Why would he even live with them? He's just a random kid to them."

"Julia, shut up! His last living relative died, have some respect."

How do they know?
