Silence, just eerie silence. Sitting in the corner of her empty room, Bobby stared at the brick wall. She was aware that she was breathing very heavily. Yet her ears could not pick up the sound.

The surgery had been a failure.

A tear rolled down Bobby's face, leaving behind a wet trail down her cheek. It eventually dripped off her face and splashed down on the floor underneath her large paws. It was followed by another oily tear and then another. Bobby let the tears to continue falling. What was the point of stopping herself from crying? It's not like anyone would care. They didn't listen to her or showed any sign of sympathy to her plight.

Or would they?

Bobby pondered for a few minutes. Would it be possible that the people in white coats could help her? Granted they did a horrible job fixing up her hearing problems. But they probably made a small mistake. Everyone makes mistakes after all, right? Either way, they were the bear plush's best option. Swallowing hard, Bobby tipped her head back and screamed as loud as she could. And she kept screaming.

Her silent cries fell on deaf ears.
