CHAPTER ELEVEN

FIGHTING FIRE WITH FIRE 'A'

SALLYS POV

Things had not been normal with me a pond Elizabeth since what happened at my house last week. I ignore most of her calls and anytime I answer them I tell her that I'm busy. In class we don't talk either, I pretend to be listening to the teacher and she doesn't disturb me. I'm not sure she's ready to talk either. In the cafeteria I act funny and awkward around her, I space out. I just can't stand what I'm feeling, jealousy.

Elizabeth is my best friend, I cannot be jealous of her. Troys always talking to her, not me. He's always looking at her, not me. He's always taking her home, not me. But Cory, Cory's always talking to me, not her. He's always looking at me, not her. He's always taking me home, not her.

There's only one way I'm going to get over this, I'm going to fight fire with fire.

ELIZABETHS POV

I sat down close to the window in Biology class. This was the only class I had without Sally, things were terrible with the two of us and it's all thanks to Troy! I overheard girls talking and giggling at my back.

"Sally's holding a party tonight." One of them said, it was definitely Terry no doubt!

"So how's that our problem?" Another asked, Terry hissed and rolled her eyes. "Our problem there is Troy's going and anywhere Troy's partying I'm partying." Terry said the girls giggled. I rolled my eyes, I couldn't believe Sally was holding a party and she didn't even tell me. I had to find out from Terry and her cohorts, this is just annoying."

When it was time for lunch I sat down at my usual table. I am never going to seat at Troy's table again. I sighed. Sally was approaching me, she hesitated but she still sat down besides me.

"Hey."

"Hey." She replied, her greeting had every inch of awkwardness in it. "Uh... I heard you're holding a party."

"I guess." She replied in an I don't care tone.

"How cone you didn't tell me?"

"I thought parties weren't your thing." She shrugged. She wasn't getting away that easily.

"You could have still told me."

"I didn't think you were interested." She was replying my questions with too much attitude. I could have slapped her.

"You invited Troy?"

"Why do you care if I invited Troy?!" She fired.

There it was, jealousy. I knew it! But the way she's handling it is just too unbelievable.

"Relax Sally I'm just asking."

She looked at me, a smirk on her lips. 'What was she up to?' "Can I come?" I asked.

"Sure why not?" She said nicely, it was too nice. Sally was a bad liar and I'm going to find out what she's up to.
