Do you have a boyfriend?" Troy suddenly asked Elizabeth laughed at the sudden question but Troy didn't laugh about it.

"I'm serious."

Was he really serious? Maybe he was drunk, but he wasn't drunk at all, he was completely sober. 'He didn't really like me, he can't like me.'

"Hey!"

Elizabeth jumped in shock, she turned around and saw Troy standing in front of her.

"What were you thinking about?" Troy asked.

'You'. She wanted to say it but she didn't

"Just regular school stuff."

Elizabeth couldn't hold the thought in her mind, she had to ask him about it. She had to ask him about last night.

"About last night..."

"About last night..."

They said it at the same time. 'No, this can not be happening' Elizabeth thought. 'What if he meant what he said or what if they were going to say the same thing?'

"You go first." Troy said chuckling.

Elizabeth took a deep breath and sighed.

Last night, I didn't want to kiss you, it was a mistake and u didn't mean anything I said. I don't even like you.

Did she say it? No. She just stood there looking at Troy wishing she could say something but she said nothing.

"Liz?"

"Oh-- you go first." She said smiling.

Troy said the exact opposite of what she wanted to say.

"Last night, I meant everything I said and I really like you."

'What?!' Elizabeth heart stopped or at least she thought it did. Troy liked her? It didn't make sense. He didn't like her but he just said that he did.

'Elizabeth!"

Sally yelled and ran to her. For a moment Elizabeth was happy that Sally could get rid of the tension she felt with Troy. Then she thought, what if Sally found out that Troy liked her? It would ruin their friendship.

"What do you want?"

Sally ignored her question and focused on Troy. This was her chance.

"Hi Troy!" She said cheerfully, too cheerfully.

Troy looked at Sally, he could have sworn that he knew her from somewhere but he couldn't remember where or when, but he could remember her name or that's what he thought.

"Ally it's good to see you again"

Sally blushed, Troy gave her a nickname. She liked it. She liked everything he did, good or bad.

'Her names not Ally' Elizabeth thought.

"Thanks!" Sally chirped.

Troy turned to face Elizabeth but she already left, he couldn't find her. He stood there with Sally. Very soon he left without saying another word to Sally.

ELIZABETHS POV

I left, I had to leave. Why? I couldn't stay there any more. At least now Sally can talk to him. What Troy has for me is only a crush, he doesn't really like me.

The bell rang.

I have chemistry. I walked lazily to my class, I didn't even mind where I was going. I bumped into someone, he was beautiful. He held me on my shoulders.

"Be careful." He said smiling, he had the warmest smile I had ever seen. He's voice sounded caring.

"I'm sorry." I said at last

"It's okay." He let go of my shoulders. 'Why did he let go?' He walked away. I turned and watched him walk away then a voice came from behind me.

"Oh that's Cory!" Sally said almost yelling. 'Cory?'

"Come on, we have chemistry!" Sally said and dragged me away.

SALLYS POV

I succeeded, I avoided Cory through out today he didn't even see me but I saw him, that was too close. Then I started thinking of Troy

"Ally it's good to see you again"

I blushed just by thinking of it, he said that it was nice to see me again. I walked home alone thinking about Troy, I talked to him again and he even gave me a nickname. A car pulled over in front of me. I wandered who the person was, it was Cory.

"Do you need a ride?"

Just when I thought I wasn't going to see his face today, I smiled at him and said with a straight face.

"No thanks."

I continued walking and he followed me with his car. 'Why is he following me?' I stopped walking.

"Come on it's 'just' a ride" he said emphasizing the word 'just'

I smiled again. "Fine! 'just' a ride" I said still with emphasis on 'just'. Cory chuckled

I entered the car and Cory drove off.

"Uh... Yesterday..."

Why was he talking about yesterday? He could have just forgotten about it.

"I didn't mean to make you angry." He said politely. I looked at him and smiled.

"So... This guy that you like, is he anyone I know?"

Cory more than knew Troy, they were best friends.

"How am I supposed to know the people you know, I 'just' met you" I said still emphasizing on the word 'just' again.

"You're wrong, we didn't 'just' meet" he said still emphasis on 'just'. I laughed at this, then I realized something. I could have liked Cory but I didn't want to cheat on Troy.

"But still I don't know all your friends"

Cory nodded.

"Will you tell me his name?"

"Huh?"

"The boy you like, will you tell me his name?"

"I never said the person I liked was a boy, it could be a girl. You'll never know."

We both started laughing. I was the first to stop laughing. I looked at Cory, he's face was more handsome when he laughed, he noticed I was staring at him then he stopped laughing and I smiled at him.

The rest of the way was silent until we got to my house. I didn't want to get off the car. I wanted to be with Cory, he made me laugh.

"Come inside." I said and got off the car, he smiled looking at me and came down the car, we both walked inside.
