CONTINUATION

Oh no! This can not be happening, Sally wasn't supposed to find out no one was supposed to find out!

"What are you talking about? I asked playing dumb. My heart started beating fast out of fear. I didn't want anyone to know.

"I'm talking about Cory!"

"What about Cory?" I acted as if I had no idea what she was talking about. She was whispering but there was no point in it. No matter how loud she could shout those boys would never hear, they were too distracted in whatever they were talking about.

"You like him, don't you?" She was still whispering, I'm getting more nervous

"W-w-what? No! O-of course I- I don't!" It was an obvious lie, a blind man could see that. She just stared at me as if I was an idiot. I need to confess.

"Fine! I do."

"Eek!" She jumped like a happy child.

"Let's go!" She said pointing to the boys "Wh--?" Sally dragged me away to the living room Cory and Troy looked at us, they were confused. I was trying to stand firm but I couldn't. Sally sat besides Troy.

"Sally what are you doing?" Cory asked Sally, I looked at her my face said the same thing.

"You guys are here for me right?" She asked, Cory put his hands over hers. "Yeah, we're here for you." That hurt me, the way Cory said that it just hurt. I looked at Troy, he didn't seem interested in the conversation.

"What are you doing Sally?" I was uncomfortable and annoyed at the same time.

"Are you okay?" Troy asked kindly, I nodded. Cory and Sally looked at us. Sally had an almost jealous look on her face. I couldn't tell what Cory's facial expression was. I cleared my throat because of the awkward moment.

"I don't really like this seat, Elizabeth come sit here." She said with a smile beaming on her face. She was either doing this out of jealousy or she was trying to help me with Cory, I could barely tell. She stood up and I stood up, we switched. I need to leave I said to myself.

"Sally I have to go home."

"But we've not started yet"

"Started what?" I fired.

"I want to play a game" She fired back. "Ally, Liz is tired if she's your best friend you'd understand that"

I know I should be happy that Troy defended me like that but he does not get to talk to Sally that way. I saw the hurt look on Sally's face, she was upset, Cory was confused. This couldn't get anymore worse.

It did, again.

"Liz I'll take you home."

Oh sure Troy! you're the best! (note the sarcasm). I looked at Sally, she looked at me

"You should go home Liz, I mean Elizabeth or whatever. J-just go home." Sally said with her voice breaking. I stood up and walked out, Troy followed behind me.
