okay, as much as I love Starfire, she isn't in this. sorry. But, you are basically her: you have her powers, but you were born and live on earth.
———————
For once, everything is going perfectly.
That's what you thought as you sat next to your best friend, Robin, as the team watched a movie in the common room.
Robin has been your best friend since you joined the team. But, you and the whole team only knew the masked Boy Wonder as just that: masked. No one knew what his eyes looked like behind the mask; no one knew his real name. But, you could safely say that no one knew yours either. Just like your best friend, you wore a mask and kept your real identity a secret. It's better this way: no one knows who you really are, so no one can attack your family or anyone close to you. You took the cover name Crystal Light, but your real name is Y/N.
You wanted to know who Robin really was. You knew he was your best friend, and the guy you loved; you just want a face to put to the cover, and a name to put to the face.
"-ystal. Crystal, are you awake?" Robin's voice brought you back from your thoughts.
"Uh- yeah, sorry." You replied to him.
"Are you okay? You were spaced out." He whispered.
"Yes, I'm fine. I was just... lost in my thoughts." You told him.
You looked around and noticed that Beast Boy and Cyborg had fallen asleep and the movie was almost finished. Raven had not wanted to watch a movie with you guys, so she was in her room.
"What time is it?" You asked the boy wonder quietly. He looked around the room for a second, before looking back at you.
"Just past midnight." He responded, making you nod.
"I should head to bed." You told him.
"I will too. Can I - I mean-uh- walk you?" He asked, starting to blush.
"Well, our rooms are right next to each other." You smiled, but Robin looked at you with a blank face. "Yes, Robin." You laughed, "I would like that very much."
Robin smiled and stood up from the couch. He held out his hand to help you up. You grabbed his hand, but the combined forces of him pulling you up plus you pushing up from the couch was too much. You accidentally crashed into him; he put his arms around you to make sure neither of you fell. You looked at him; your faces were an inch away from each other.
"Thanks for catching me." You whispered to him.
"I'll always catch you when you fall." He replied, smiling.
"Hey, Rob, can you stop flirting with your girlfriend in front of us? I'm tryin to sleep!" Cyborg's voice startled the both of you. You took a step back from Robin, blushing. You both looked over and saw that Cyborg and BB had woken up, and we're looking at the two of you with smug faces.
"She is NOT my girlfriend." Robin told them. (Ayeeeeee)
You didn't know why that hurt you. Maybe it was the way he said it; maybe it was that those words were his immediate reaction. It didn't matter what the reason was, it hurt. Your smile dropped from your face, but you quickly recovered it. You knew how he felt about you now.
"I'm gonna head to bed." You said quietly, beginning to head out of the common room. You made it into the hallway before you heard footsteps behind you.
"Crystal! Crystal, wait!" Robin called out to you. You stopped and waited for him to appear next to you.
"Are you mad at me?" He asked. You internally sighed; Robin never wants any of his friends to hate him.
"No, Robin. I am not angry with you. You told Cy and BB the truth." You told him, continuing to walk to your room with him following.
"Then why did you leave so quickly? Why are you walking away from me?" He pushed. You sighed out loud.
"Robin, I'm just tired. I want to go to sleep." You told him.
"Are you sure?" He asked. By this time you had gotten to the hallway that held you and Robin's bedrooms.
"Yes, Robin. I'm not mad at you. I'll see you in the morning." You told him, pulling him into a hug. When you pulled away from the hug, you made a mistake.
You kissed his cheek.
You didn't know why you did that, but everything after that paused. Robin stared at you, his cheeks turning pink. You didn't know what to do.
"Goodnight." You told him, quickly turning and moving to your room before closing the door as fast as possible.
'Idiot! Why would you do that?! He just told Cyborg and Beast Boy that he doesn't like you like that! Great, now everything is going to be awkward between us.' You thought.
You slid down against your door and put your head in your hands. What you didn't know was that Robin was doing the same thing outside the door.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.----.--.-.-.-.
You were in a place that you didn't know. It was dark, and big. Almost like... A cave.
"Where am I?" You muttered to yourself.
You heard a car roar from one side of the cave and a garage like door opened, revealing headlights. You stumbled over and hid behind a big machine. Who's here?
Your question was answered when you actually saw the car, and the guy who got out of it.
"Batman..." You gasped. Then, someone else got out of the car: Robin. He followed Batman over to the computer and stood behind the chair when he sat down.
"You did well today, Dick." The man said to Robin. Dick? Is that his name?
"Yeah, sure." The boy answered him. He didn't seem very happy, or excited. "I need to talk to you."
Batman turned the chair to face Robin. "What is it?"
"This is serious, Bruce." Bruce?
I am so confused right now.
Then, Batman did something I never thought I'd see. He took his mask off.
Bruce. Wayne?!!? Bruce Wayne is Batman?!
..... Uncle Bruce?
No. No no no no no no, this isn't real.
You stumbled back and accidentally hit something. Your hand flew up to your mouth and you prayed that they hadn't heard you.
"What was that?" You heard Robin's voice say.
"I don't know." Batm-Bruce. Bruce replied to him.
Of course they heard you.
Soon the dynamic duo stood in front of you. Crap.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Robin said, aggressively.
"Robin, you know me. I'm your friend!" You told him.
"I've never seen you before in my life." Robin said, confused.
"Her name is Crystal Light. She's a freelance hero, recently appeared. You're doing some nice work, young lady." Batman said to me.
"Uh- thanks." I told him.
"Why are you here?" Robin asked you. He wasn't angry anymore, just confused.
"I-I don't know." You answered. Batman walked back over to the computer and Robin followed him with you in tow.
"How much of our conversation did you hear?" Robin asked you.
"He's Bruce Wayne... so you must be Richard Grayson." You said, making them both look at you. "How could you never tell me?"
"We don't even know you!" Robin exclaimed.
"Not you." You told him, walking past to stand by Bruce.
"You're my godfather; my parents' best friend since high school, and you obviously know who and I am and what I'm doing. Why didn't you tell me?" You asked him.
"I didn't want you to be in danger." He muttered.
"Uncle Bruce, look at me! I'm out there, fighting off danger! Just like you are!" You exclaimed. Then it dawned on you. "You don't trust me..."
"That's not it." He told you.
"It obviously is." You said angrily. "I'm out of here." You walked away from your godfather, looking for an exit. You didn't know anything about this place.
You realized that you had no idea how to get out of the Batcave, so you just sat on the edge of the platform you had been walking on.
"Hey, are you okay?" You heard a familiar voice ask from a few feet away. You sighed.
"Just go away, Richard." You said, using his real name now that you knew it.
"My full name may be Richard, but my parents and everyone else called me Dick." He replied, moving a little closer to you.
"Dick," you said with a slight smile, "please go away. I just want to be alone."
"C'mon, Crystal. Don't be like that..."
"Just go!" You said, holding your hand out to stop him from coming closer to you.
You're upset, and because your powers are triggered by your emotions, you hit Robin. You didn't mean to, but now he was lying on the ground unconscious.
"Oh my- Robin!" You exclaimed, jumping up and rushing over to him.
"Robin! Robin, wake up! Dick, c'mon, please wake up. Dick, please! -"
"Dick!" You yelled out, waking up from your awful dream. You looked around your dark room, and saw that the clock read 2:43 am. Great. You hoped that Robin hadn't heard you scream.
-
This is Robin we're talking about, of course he's up at 2:45 in the morning.
He heard you yelling in your sleep, and was making his way to check up on you. He was about to knock on your door when you screamed out his name.
His eyes widened.
No... No, she didn't just. How could she find out?! He thought, slowly making his way back to his room.
Of course he heard you, he was just lucky that the rest of the team didn't have rooms right next to you two.
I have to talk to Crystal about this in the morning... This is gonna be fun...
-
You didn't go back to sleep last night. Instead, you were looking up and watching videos of the Flying Graysons. Robin... Dick, was amazing, even back then. You were so amazed. You were friends with Dick when Bruce had taken him in, best friends. Bruce has been your parents best friend since high school, and they made him your godfather, so he was over at your house or you guys at his all of the time. And after all this time, you discovered this?!
You decided that you had to leave the Tower. It's too dangerous for you to be on the team, knowing who Robin really is. He keeps his identity a secret for a reason, and you can't ruin whatever relationship you still have with him (considering he hadn't heard you last night, then you might not have anything to salvage) by him finding out you know it.
It's 5:00 in the morning, so no one should be awake yet. You had grabbed a suitcase and put some clothes in it. You had money for a while, but you hoped your parents would let you live with them again, and if they wouldn't, you'd ask your sister. But first, you had something to do, someone to see.
You slowly opened the door to your room, making sure no one was in the hallway. You levitated your way down the hallway, not wanting to make any noise and wake someone up. You stopped at everyone's door on your way up to the roof. You just stared at them for a minute, remembering all the good times you had with your friends, before sighing and moving on.
You sat on the roof for a minute, just looking at the view of the city one more time, before you started to fly away.
"Where do you think you're going?" A voice called from back on the roof. It scared you, and you almost lost focus and fell, but you kept yourself together. You turned back and saw Robin standing there, with Cyborg. You descended a little to be closer to them, but not close enough to the roof that they could stop you from leaving.
"Crystal, where you goin?" Cyborg asked.
Lie. They can't know you're not coming back.
"I-uh- have someplace to go. Home! I have to go home, my uncle is in the hospital." You told them.
Cyborg took that as your answer and left the rooftop, but Robin stayed.
"I could be naïve and accept that, but I know it's not true. Why are you leaving?" He said, looking up at you in the sky.
"I have to. I can't tell you why." You told him, averting your gaze to somewhere else.
"Crystal, talk to me. I thought we were best friends." Robin said. You shut your eyes tightly and shook your head.
"I have to go." You said, turning and flying away from him, the team, and the Tower.
"Crystal!" He called out, but you didn't turn back. You have somewhere to be.
-
Robin stormed into the common room, where Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy are.
"Can someone please tell me why I'm up at 5:30 in the morning? BB needs his sleep here!" Beast Boy complained.
"She's gone! And we have no idea where she is going!" Robin exclaimed.
"Dude, she said she was going home to-" cyborg tried, but Robin wasn't having it.
"She lied! She's not going home! And she might not even be coming back! " Robin yelled in frustration.
"Well then, aren't you glad I put a tracker on her?" Cyborg said, pulling up the tracker on the big screen. Robin looked up at it, grateful for what Cyborg did.
"Dude, why wouldn't she be coming back?" Beast Boy asked.
"Something happened last night. I think she's scared." Robin answered quietly.
"Scared of what?" Cyborg asked.
"Me..." Robin answered.
- .-.-.-.-.-(okay so I know Gotham and Jump City are like cross country from each other, but we're gonna pretend they are like 3 hours away from each other) -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
You've been flying in the direction of Gotham City for about two and a half hours now, and you're exhausted. You can't function on two hours of sleep, it's making your powers more difficult to use.
You had slowed down your flight a lot due to exhaustion, but you were still up. Just moving really slowly. You saw a fast food place below, so you stopped to get up your energy before moving on again.
-
The team was watching the tracker on the big screen in the common room.
"Hey, it looks like she's headed for-" BB commented, before being silenced by Raven.
"She's going to Gotham." Raven said through mind link with Robin. "My guess is to find the city's resident hero. I assume she wants answers, Dick."
"I know, I do too." Robin thought back.
Raven has known who Robin really is since he was being haunted by Slade. When she went into his mind, she learned a lot.
"I'm going after her." Robin said.
"Okay. We can come with you." Cyborg offered.
"No." Robin and Raven said at the same time.
"This is something Robin has to do on his own." Raven told Beast Boy and Cyborg. They nodded, and Robin left the common room, with Raven following him.
"When did she find out?" Raven asked through the link. She knew that BB and Cyborg would try to listen in, so she didn't speak out loud.
"Last night." Robin thought back, turning to look at her.
"How?" She asked another question.
"That's what I need answers to." Robin thought back.
"Okay. Good luck, Dick. Bring her back." Raven replied.
"I intend to." Robin said finally, out loud. He walked down the hallway and down to the garage where his cycle was. He got on and drove off, starting his journey to you.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
You looked at the building in front of you, it not seeming so big anymore. You knew that it was, and you'd probably realize that once you stop hovering in front of it and are standing by the front door.
You dropped to the ground and slowly walked up to the front door. You rang the bell and Alfred opened the door.
"I need to see Bruce Wayne." You said to him.
"Yes, we saw you flying outside the window, Ms. Light." He answered.
"Oh. Uh, sorry." You said nervously, making Alfred smile.
"Come this way." He told you, and you followed him to the living room, where Bruce was sitting.
"Thank you, Alfred." Bruce said to his friend, making him nod his head and leave the room. You looked at Bruce for a few seconds before speaking.
"Why didn't you tell me?" You asked, making Bruce look at you in confusion.
"I beg your pardon?" He asked, drawing you back.
"You don't know who I am?" You asked him.
"Of course I-"
"Who I really am." You corrected, making him look at you before shaking his head.
"No, I don't." He answered.
My dream was wrong? Does that mean the entire thing is wrong? Is he not Batman?
"You... You are Batman, though. Right?" You asked, making his eyes widen. Then, his eyes turned upset, angry.
"How did you find out?!" He exclaimed, making you sigh.
"Uncle Bruce," you said, taking your mask off, "it's me."
"Y/N..." He muttered.
"Hi..." You said awkwardly, waving a hand.
"C'mere." He said, opening his arms to you. You walked into his open arms and he hugged you.
"I'm so sorry, Bruce." You told him.
"You have nothing to be sorry for." He told you, releasing you from the hug.
"Can I see the cave?" You asked excitedly, making him laugh.
"Yes." He told you, bringing you the the entrance of the cave. Once inside, you looked around the huge place.
"I had a dream." You told him. "I was in this place, but I didn't know where I was." You looked around, saw the bat mobile, and walked over to it. "You drove this in... It was so cool, you know?" You looked up at him and saw the smirk on his face. You leaned over and nudged him, making him laugh. "I barely slept because of this, you know."
"What do you mean?" He asked, worried.
"Things... Things turned bad quickly. I woke up screaming, and I couldn't get back to sleep." You replied.
"You need to sleep. C'mon, you're staying here for the night." He told you, putting his arm around you and leading you over to the elevator to get back up to the mansion.
"I know who he is too, Bruce." You said, making your godfather look at you in confusion.
"What? Who?" He asked.
Just then, you heard the garage like door open and a motorcycle roar from it. Your eyes widened and you quickly moved away from Bruce.
"Don't tell him that I'm here, please!" You said, pulling your mask on and moving to hide behind something.
Bruce turned to look at the boy wonder ride in on his cycle, stopping it next to the bat mobile and getting off the bike. You could see from where you were hiding, but hoped they couldn't see you.
"Dick, what are you doing here?" Bruce asked, walking up to his former partner.
"Is she here?" Robin asked.
"Um, who?" Bruce asked, playing dumb.
"You know who, Bruce. She is here, isn't she?" He asked, looking around the room. "Crystal! I know you're here!"
You let out a breath way too loudly. Both guys looked to where you were hiding and you heard footsteps coming towards you.
No, no! This can't happen! Not now, I can't lose my best friend now!
With that thought, you flew up from your hiding place quickly and dashed around the cave, trying to get away from them, from Robin.
"Crystal!" Robin exclaimed as you flew away from him.
You flew up to the ceiling of the cave, before realizing you had no where to go. You looked down at them, a sinking feeling in your stomach. It was then that everything had to come crashing down, literally. You head started to hurt and you closed your eyes to try to get the pain to go away. But then, you were falling. You were falling and you couldn't fly again, no matter how hard you tried. You screamed out, but not too loudly. You just let it happen; you let yourself fall.
"Crystal Light!" You heard Robin yell, and then a force crashed into you. It was him, he caught you. He used his grappling hook to hook on to something and get you both back on the ground safely. He was kneeling on the ground, with you still in his arms. You could barely keep your eyes open, but you still spoke.
"Thanks for catching me." You said, smiling slightly.
"Crystal..." He said worried. "I told you, I'll always catch you."
"Give her to me." Bruce said to the boy wonder. He picked you up from Robin's arms and whispered to you. "Go to sleep, honey."
You weren't far off from sleep anyway, so you listened to him.
-
Bruce put you in a guest room so that you could get the sleep you needed, then walked back into the living room where his former sidekick was seated.
"What just happened?" Robin asked, making Bruce sigh.
"Crystal's powers on influenced by her emotions, Dick. She got two hours of sleep last night, which made her powers weaker than her body could take. And by using her powers without energy, her body couldn't hold her anymore." Bruce explained.
"Why didn't she sleep?" Robin asked, although he already knew the answer.
"You're her best friend, aren't you? You should talk to her about that. But let her get some sleep first." Bruce told him, making him nod.
Bruce's watch beeped, and he sighed.
"I've got a Justice League meeting. You good here?" He asked Robin.
"Yeah, of course. I've got a million video games here-"
"That you've already beat." Bruce pointed out with a smirk.
"And I've got Alfred to keep me company." He tried again.
"He left to go see some friends!" Bruce said as he walked away. Dick looked around the empty room before looking at the door of the room you were in.
"Well, I've got her..." He said quietly.
-
Robin sat by your bed and watched you sleep, thinking about everything. His Titan talkie beeped and he stood up, looking at you, before exiting the room to answer.
"Hey, man! How're things going?" Cyborg asked.
"Did you find her?" Beast Boy added.
"Yeah. I found her. I haven't talked to her yet, she's sleeping." Robin answered them.
"Sleeping?" Cyborg asked confused, seeing that it is around 11 o'clock.
"She barely slept last night. She needs to get her energy back up."
"Okay... Well, call us later dude." Cyborg said, before hanging up the call.
Robin walked back in your room; you were up.
"Crystal." He said, rushing over to you. He stood right by the bedside, making sure you didn't get up and get away from him again. "Are you okay?"
"Robin... What happened?" You asked, avoiding eye contact with him.
"You know what happened, Crys." He told you, making you sigh.
"Yeah, okay...." You replied, still not looking at him. He sat on the bed and looked at you.
"Everything is okay, Crystal." He said.
"No, it's not! And you don't even know why, Robin!" You exclaimed. He put his glove covered hand on yours, making you look up at him.
"Call me Dick." He smiled softly. You sighed, closing your eyes and looking away from him again.
"You heard me..."
"Of course I did." He affirmed what you just said. You both fell into silence for a few seconds, before he spoke again.
"Why did you run?"
You sighed, looking at your hands in your lap. "I didn't want to lose you."
Your confession made him furrow his eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"I know your biggest secret. That tends to drive people away." You told him.
"You could never drive me away." He told you, taking your hand again.
"I'm sure there are a lot of ways I could..." You muttered.
"You can't." He said firmly. "And hey, I'm sure you don't know anyone with a secret like mine. You know, my whole life." He added, trying to lighten the mood. You sighed. Once again, he's wrong.
"I have to do something. Please, don't freak out on me." You said, and he nodded.
You scooted closer to him and he didn't do anything. You put your hands up to his face, just cupping it. Still nothing. When you put your hands up to his mask, he put his hands on your knees making you stop.
"I'm sorry." You said.
"No, uh, it's fine. Do it." He told you.
You put your hands up to his mask and slowly took it off. His eyes were shut tightly and he lowered his head to look at the ground.
"Dick..." You said, making him open his eyes and look at you. His blue eyes stared at you, him not really knowing what to do.
You put your hands on top of his hands that were still on your legs. He continued to stare at you as you moved his hands up to your mask.
If someone were to walk in on you two right now, they would think you were totally weird. But, this worked for you two.
You dropped your hands from his, and he stopped.
"I can stop." He told you.
"No, don't." You told him. He nodded, and took your mask off, just as you did for him. He stared at you, and you looked up at him.
"...Y/N?" He asked, not believing that it is truly you.
"Hey, Dick..." You said, dropping your gaze from his eyes.
"I can't believe it's you." He said, taking your hands in his again. You looked up and met his blue eyes again. "I've missed you so much, Y/N."
He pulled you into him, hugging you tightly. You laughed lightly.
"I've missed you too, Dick." You told him.
"I can't believe you were right here this entire time." He said. You let go of him and looked at him.
"Let's go home." You said, and he nodded. You both put your masks back on and left the room. You grabbed your stuff and followed him down to the cave. He sat on his bike and looked at you.
"Hop on." He told you.
"Uh- I can fly." You replied, making him shake his head.
"No. You almost got hurt last time you flew. You're riding with me." He told you.
"Dick, that was only because I was tired. I'm fine now."
He got off his bike and walked up to you, putting his arms around your waist. "I'm not risking you getting hurt."
You sighed, dropping your head. "Fine."
He smirked, taking your hand and bringing you over to his bike. He sat on it and you got on behind him.
"Hold on." He told you. You did as he said and he took off. The door opened and soon you were on the road, back to Jump City.
You laid your head against Dick's back and squeezed his abdomen lightly.
"You okay?" He yelled over the roar of his bike. You nodded on his back and he drove on.
-
You guys pulled into the Tower garage. You sighed once Dick stopped the bike: you don't want to let go.
"You know, we're here. You can let go now." He said.
"I know." You replied. "Do I have to?"
He grabbed your arms and took them off from around him, standing up. He pulled you up and into his arms, hugging you once again.
"I love you, Dick." You blurted out. Your eyes widened at what you said.
"I love you too, Y/N." He replied with a smile.
He doesn't mean it, not like I do. He is saying it as a best friend. You thought.
You let go of him and grabbed your bag from where is was stored on his bike.
"I'm gonna go put my stuff up..." You muttered, moving to walk up to your room.
"Hey! The happy couple has returned!" Cyborg exclaimed, walking in with Beast Boy and Raven following.
You stopped and looked back at Dick and dropped your gaze, hiding your hurt expression.
"I'm not his girlfriend..." You said quietly. Everyone watched as you left the room.
"What was that about?" BB asked confused.
"She's probably just tired. She's had a long day. C'mon, let's go." Cy replied to him. They both left the garage, off to do their own thing.
"She told you that she loves you, didn't she?" Raven asked Robin.
"Uh, yeah... She's my best friend, why wouldn't she love me? I told her I loved her too." He said, being the oblivious guy he is.
"Dick, she meant it." Raven told him, making his eyes widen.
"W-what?!"
"She has been falling for you for a long time, Dick. I've talked to her, I see how she looks at you. I can sense her emotions." Raven told him.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
You walked into your room and threw your bag into your closet. You didn't bother with unpacking because who knows when you are gonna take a trip again? You plopped on your bed just as a knock sounded from your door.
"I want to be alone right now." You called to whoever was at the door. The knocking continued and you got up to open the door. "What?!" You said when you opened it, but no one was there. You closed the door and turned around to see Beast Boy standing there.
"BB, what are you doing here?" You asked.
"Are you okay? You seemed upset back there." He countered your question.
"Oh... Gar, I'm fine. Everything is great." You lied.
"You're lying." He pointed out, making you sigh. Other than Robin, you were closest to Beast Boy. He was like your little brother.
"Garfield..." You said, lying down on your bed with your feet on the floor.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, sitting down next to you.
"Not really..."
"C'mon... You know you do. It's just me, Crys." He said, making you look up at him and sit up.
"It's just-"
-
"You know I've always had feelings for Robin..." You told him, not knowing that the guy himself was standing outside your door, listening.
"Yeah, well you make it way too obvious." Beast Boy commented.
"I do?!"
She does...? I've never noticed. He thought.
"Not enough for him to notice. You know, for an expert detective, he isn't too good with the stuff right in front of his face." BB told you, making you sigh in relief.
"Well, yesterday, when Cyborg commented about me being his girlfriend... When he rejected the idea so fast... It just-hurt. I don't know why, I mean- I should know by now that he's not interested in me..." You said.
That's not true!
"I just... can't let go of the idea that maybe one day, he might feel the same."
I do feel the same!
"He likes you, Crys. I can tell he does." BB said to you.
BB QUIT IT!
"Nah... He rejected me pretty fast..."
"That doesn't mean he doesn't like you! He just -"
"BB, I know how he feels, okay? We're best friends... That's it. That's all he sees me as." You told him.
"But Crys-"
"I don't want to talk about this anymore, Beast Boy. Please, just leave me alone for now." You said, making Robin back away from the door and hurry to his room.
You opened the door for Beast Boy to leave, and he did. He walked down the hall until a hand reached out and pulled him into a room.
"What are you doing?!" Robin exclaimed.
"Wha-Robin! I was walking until you ambushed me." BB told him.
"I mean with Crystal." Robin pinpointed.
"Uh-"
"I heard you talking to her. About me."
"Robin... You were eavesdropping on her? Not cool, man." BB answered him.
"I just can't believe I never noticed her... She likes me?" Robin said, sitting on his bed.
"She loves you, dude." BB told him. Robin groaned, running his hands through his hair and laying back on his bed.
"What am I gonna do?" He asked.
"Glad you asked." Beast Boy smirked.
Oh, this isn't gonna be good.
-
Beast Boy had the brilliant idea that Robin should 'announce his love to the world' as he put it, and Robin immediately turned him down. Robin decided to just talk to you about everything.
He slowly raised his hand and knocked on the door. Hearing shuffling, he wasn't surprised when the door opened, revealing you.
"Robin, hi. What can I help you with?" You asked. The Boy Wonder furrowed his eyebrows in confusion at your formality with him.
"I need to talk to you." He said. You opened the door and he walked into your room. He walked over to your bed and sat on it as you closed the door. He sighed as you sat next to him, ripping off his mask.
"What's wrong, Dick?" You asked, taking your mask off as well. He looked at you and sighed again, shutting his eyes tightly.
"After you left yesterday, I talked to Raven. She told me... She told me that you meant what you said." He told you, making your eyes widen.
"Um- yeah. Of course I did. You know, you're my best friend, why would I not love-" You tried to play it off, but he cut you off.
"I heard you talking to Beast Boy earlier." He told you.
"You were eavesdropping on me?" You said, a little angry.
"Uh- well, I-it was only because-"
"It doesn't matter why, you shouldn't have!" You yelled, pulling your mask back on and storming out of your room.
"The conversation was about me." He argued, following you. You both walked into the common room, not noticing your teammates in the room.
"It doesn't matter if it was about you! You weren't involved in the conversation! You're such a dick!" You yelled before the air was knocked out of you. Your eyes were wide as Robin kissed you, then they slowly closed as you melted into the kiss. You put your hands up to his jaw as he put his around your waist. You leaned your forehead against his as he pulled away.
"That's my name, don't ware it out." Dick said just loud enough for you hear.
"I told you he likes you." Beast Boy said from right beside you.
"Rae?" You called, and soon BB was surrounded by black as Raven and Cy left the room, dragging him with them.
"Be my girlfriend?" Dick asked, his arms still around you.
"Absolutely, Mr. Grayson." You replied, pulling his mask off and kissing him again.
