2 weeks later (everyone is out of hospital)

Gibbs POV

We still haven't been able to catch the person targeting my team, until we do everyone is in pairs, McGee and Abby, DiNozzo and Ziva, me and Jenny, Ducky and Palmer plus Breena. This means that there is always more than one person at a time if anything should happen. I'm currently sat in the bullpen with Jenny. She keeps smiling at me, I smile back, I love this lady, damn it, I am in love with her

My phone starts to ring

Gibbs: yeah Gibbs

Ziva: Gibbs, it's Tony, he's been shot, presumably by a sniper, we are at the hospital, it was a through and through in the shoulder, a few centimetres down, and it would have been his heart, it wasn't, but it means he has gone into an operation.

Gibbs: oh my god, we will be there in 10

I hung up.

Jenny: what's wrong

Gibbs: don't ask questions, just grab a coat, and quickly

Jenny: ok, but remember I will ask again in the car

Gibbs: ok, just hurry up and meet me at my car

I ran down the stairs to get the car started, Jen came down the stairs 2 minutes later we got in the car

Jenny: well, what's wrong

Gibbs: DiNozzo

Jenny: what's wrong with him

Gibbs: he got shot, through and through left shoulder

Jenny: Oh my god, some one really is targeting our team

Gibbs: yeah, I've been saying that since Ziva went in, that's why we are in pairs

We arrived at the hospital, I asked for Tony's room, they wouldn't let me through, so I flashed my badge, Jenny did the same, then she told us where he was, we walked through corridors and even more corridors until we came to his room, Ziva was sat outside crying, she was blaming herself for this

Gibbs: it's not your fault kid

Ziva: it is, I was in the kitchen and he was in the living room, and I wasn't paying any attention then I heard the window smash I ran through to the living room and saw Tony laying on the floor

Gibbs: exactly, it wasn't your fault

Ziva: it was

Jibbs: NO

Jenny: I'm sorry for yelling, but it wasn't your fault

Gibbs: ditto

I sat down, and Ziva crawled onto my lap and cried till she fell asleep

Gibbs: Jen, can you call McGee and Abby and Palmer and Ducky and Breena

Jenny: yeah, don't worry, we will find this person and when we do, you will get to interrogate him

Gibbs: I should have just put everyone in the same safe house, we should have just stayed in my basement, we could have taken the boat out.

Jenny: don't beat yourself up over this Jethro, you can't protect the team forever

Gibbs: I know, doesn't mean I can't try

Jenny: just don't let it jeopardise your career, you mean to much to me, I mean us

Gibbs: jen, did you just say I mean a lot to you

Jenny: yeah as in like the team

Gibbs: no, you said I meant to much to you, and I just want to say, you mean a lot to me to

Jenny: well you know, I never forgot before, it was just-

I kissed her, she kissed back when we pulled away, she was blushing a lot, it was beautiful, she was beautiful, she IS beautiful

Ziva started to wake up, she moved in my lap, I picked her up and put her in the chair next to me. As she woke up, the nurse came out of the room saying that DiNozzo had lost a lot of blood and needed a donor, I volunteered knowing that we had the same type of blood

Nurse: are you sure Mr, Urm, Gibbs.

Gibbs: yes

Nurse: ok, well he lost a lot of blood, and we need to take a lot

Gibbs: ok, I understand, just stick the needle in my arm and take my blood

Nurse: ok, follow me

I followed her into DiNozzo's room, he was lying there motionless, it made me really sad, lying there is one of the closest things I ever had to a son. The nurse grabbed a needle, she started to pump blood, she was pumping a lot of blood. Soon enough I started to feel slightly dizzy, the nurse asked me if I was ok, I just nodded, then everything went black

So Gibbs is in the hospital giving blood and passes out what will happen next, and will DiNozzo be ok
