"Sweetheart I've made a decision, I want you to further your studies abroad" he said with an authoritative voice. I gathered up my courage and said to him.

"Dad I don't want to study abroad"

"I've made my decision"

"You made that decision, not me so please dad, I don't want to argue about it" I ended it with a sigh indicating that the activities of today has totally worn me out.

"Sonia aren't you going to say anything?" He said to my mother. Mum knew she had to sweet talk him because I could feel that she wasn't ready to talk about it yet because when my mum starts, the best thing to do is to bring out a mattress and sleep there, she'll never let you leave until the matter is null and void.

"Honey we just came back okay, let's rest we'll talk later" it felt as if she purred.

EW!

"Alright darling" well my dad fell for it, I ran up to my room and prepared myself, I plopped down on my bed and got ready to sleep but I couldn't because my phone made a buzzing sound. My friends from school mia and santa were requesting a group video chat. I finally answered.

"Hey girl, don't tell me you're already in bed" said mia, she's a little jolly.

"Yes I am, now u've ruined my sleep"

"Don't be so grouchy, we have something to tell you" Santa said with a feeling of happiness laced in her voice.

"What?!!"

"Okay, okay, we'll tell you, Santa and I have decided to attend the same college" she shouted so much that l had to move the phone back a little.

"Wow that's nice"

"Yeah, its one of the best colleges at New York city" this time Santa answered as she saw that mia couldn't contain her happiness.

"Wow, i'm happy for you guys"

"What about you?" They both asked in unison.

" you really wanna know huh?"  They both nodded.

"Well if you must know, I haven't decided but when I do, I'll notify you guys" I said as I felt my eyes drooping by the second.

"K we'd better leave you to sleep before you sleep on us bye, we must have a girls night out okay?"

"Fine, bye" I switched it off and went straight to bed.

Thump! Thump!! Thump!!!

My eyes opened up lazily due to the thunderous sound coming from downstairs. That must be maria, our head maid, she goes a little berserk when her method of cooking isn't pleasing to her. She's been our maid since mum decided to bring me to this world.

I fumbled through my sheets just to go back to sleep. As I closed my eyes I felt my bed lessen a bit indicating that someone or something was in my bed.

Must be mum, she does this sometimes, she just comes into my room and starts petting me and singing soothing songs to get me to sleep. Well I thought it was mum until I felt a very large hand go under my pajama top and did one thing that I couldn't stand.

TICKLE!

I don't know where I got that nerve from but i'm super ticklish, I rolled on my bed and on top of the person as I laughed like a maniac until I finally opened my eyes and saw who l layer on top.

"Mike, oh my you're here" I screamed in his face as I saw a large grin plastered on his face showing his mission to surprise me was successful.

My mind quickly booted back to normal, first I was on top of him which I quickly remedied by getting off of him and secondly, I hadn't brushed my teeth and I literarily screamed in his face. I looked at him while holding my mouth and bolted quickly to the bathroom. I could hear the sound of his laughter coming from my room.

"Don't worry kat, u smell just fine" I heard him say but I decided to ignore him and brushed my teeth as fast as I could. After that I went into my room, ran towards him and jumped on him giving him a big hug in the process.

I've missed him so much

Michael has been my best friend ever since I was brought to this world. Okay, not to exaggerate but its been since kindergarten. He's always there for me and has supported me in everything. He's a kind of friend that I would call one in a million.

We only separated when his parents decided to send him abroad to further his studies. I begged mum and dad to let me go with him but as at that time, according to my parents, I was too little to take care of myself.

"When did you get here?"I said with a slight smile on my face.

"I just got back last night so I decided to come visit you"

"Really"

"Yeah, well, I...missed you" he had a shy expression on his face which is unlike him.

"Well, i'm so glad u're back , I have so much to tell you......"

"Sweetie prepare yourself and come down here for breakfast now!!!"

I turned my face towards the door and screamed.

"Mum, i'll be right down okay!!". As I faced Michael back, I caught him staring deeply at me until I snapped my finger at him.

"Hey, you should go downstairs, i'll join you when i'm done."

"Oh, sure don't be late okay?" He then did something that caught me off guard. He placed a peck on my cheek and looked at me deeply.

"I'll be waiting for you okay?" He stood up reluctantly and exited my room. I on the other hand just stared at his exiting figure. Wow, he's really grown and I have to admit, he's handsome. I quickly snapped out of my trance and did the normal morning routine.

I decided to wear a white shirt with long sleeves that covered half of my fingers then I settled for jean shorts that reached my knees which was paired with white sneakers. I hurriedly went down the stairs as could feel everyone watching me. I went down and greeted mike's parents Mr & Mrs Roden then settled down between mike and mum.

As I was about to dig into my pancakes, dad decided it would be a good time to talk.

"Sweetie we all want you and Michael to study in the same college abroad.."

Ughh, not this again.
