Of course, they would do this to me, they knew that I wanted to study abroad with Michael badly before but now that i'm not interested in travelling, they decided to bring it up. I leaned towards Michael and whispered to him.

"Did you know about this?".

" of course not" he whispered back. I looked at him carefully to tell if he was lying, he wasn't but he looked as if the idea was completely okay with him.

"Dad please I though I said I didn't want to go"

" yes but u'll be with micheal"

"I really don't want to go but you should ask mike if he wants to study abroad because i'm staying here".

" I don't mind schooling here" mike said. I looked at him to see if he was serious.

He really was. Mrs Rosen decided to drop the matter then she asked.
"What do you intend to study dear?"

"I would like to venture into the engineering field".

"So does mike, that's great!" She looked so happy, I wonder why.

Michael's POV

Immediately I arrived back in town, the one person that stirred my mind was Katherine. I just couldn't wait to see her cute little face that grew so red when she cried. Mum and dad accompanied me and as soon as the gates were opened, my heart thumped wildly in my chest.

I've never felt this nervous in ages, what will she think of me? Will she be able to remember me? How will she react when she sees me. The doors to the mansion opened up slowly revealing Mr and Mrs Belle. My eyes searched round and my shoulders fell down in defeat when I couldn't find who I was looking for. It looked like Mrs Belle understood me because she immediately told me that kat was in her room.

I wasted no time in following the path which was directed to me by Mrs Belle. As I opened the doors to her room my heart skipped a beat at the sight in front of me. Kat was no longer that little kid that usually got her candy stolen from her.

She looked so beautiful as she slept. I walked quietly and came up to her and moved the strands of hair covering her face. During our kindergarten days I knew she was going to grow up to be a beautiful woman but this is more than beautiful.

After dinner I excused both I and kat away so I could talk to her privately. As we wandered through the garden, I felt at peace being here with her. I looked at her and noticed that her eyes were closed which was an opportunity for me to look closely at her face, with her full lips and beautiful lashes, blush crept on her face which made her look more beautiful.

"Stop staring, u're making me feel weird"

"Why are you nervous?" I whispered closely to her ears.

She turned abruptly and answered "of course not!, why would I be"

I beamed widely at her knowing she felt uncomfortable under my gaze. I decided to avert my eyes and change the topic.

"So kat you haven't told me yet"

"What?"

"You don't want to study abroad then tell me the actual college you want to attend" she looked at me blankly.

" oh don't tell me you haven't decided yet"

"I have, why do you want to know?"

I wasted no time in answering."I want to attend the same college as you"

"Did dad put you up to this, I know he wants you to school with me just so you can keep an eye on me, so no I won't tell you"

I stared at her blankly, did she really not have a clue?

"No its not that"

"Then why!?"

" because...because... I just want to, let's leave it at that and we'll school together whether you like it or not, i'll make sure of it!"

"You can't just decide to do whatever you want when it involves my life okay!, ugh you're just like my dad!!, i'm out of here" she was fuming with anger, no, I don't want my baby to be angry with me. I stopped her quickly by grabbing her arm gently.

"I'm sorry, i'm so sorry, please don't be angry with me I just wanted to be able to see you everyday, am I forgiven?"

I looked at her but she moved her face to the side preventing my gaze until I raised up her chin.

"Okay, you're forgiven and i'm so sorry for lashing out like that, its just been pretty hectic you know?"

"Yeah, I'll leave you to make your decision, mum and dad are planning a welcome home party for me this Saturday. I hope to see you there then we can talk more okay?" She nodded. We spent the rest of the day together but I had to leave in preparation for Saturday's event.

Katherine's POV

The week went by really fast, on Friday, mum and I went shopping and so did my two friends mia and Santa. You can imagine my surprise when they told me they weren't studying abroad anymore, note the sarcasm.

According to them, they'd miss home too much, they were also invited to the welcome home party, well business men cling together. Apparently they also knew Michael but not at a personal range so they bugged me to introduce him to them.

For the party, I picked out a simple red dress with an off shoulder sleeve, it was accentuated with a beautiful gold chain design. The dress clung to my waist then from my waist to my upper thigh was a beautiful flay. It wasn't too short or long so I settled for it.

Mia chose a white floral dress with no sleeves. The length of the dress was up to her knee and it clung closely to her body. Santa chose a black and white stripped dress that was too short to describe, she refused to listen to us when we bugged her to change. Mum as usual had to go for the latest fashion trends.

Saturday came by and we prepared for the party, mia and santa decided they'd follow their parents. Mum made my hair in a simple chignon with few strands left on my face. It was beautiful, I did a simple powder and lip gloss to avoid making it too fancy.

As soon as we arrived, the paparazzi were there to take pictures of us. We entered into the big great beautiful hall filled with well dressed business men and women with scrumptious food and expensive drinks.

I looked round and noticed mike walking towards me, he greeted my parents but kept his eyes on me making me feel weird. He suddenly grabbed my arm and excused me from my parents.

After introducing me to some of his friends, he took me towards the wine bar and offered me some wine.

"You look really beautiful"

"Thanks... This party is really huge"

" well you know my mum, always the party planner, have I mentioned that you look absolutely beautiful?"

"Yes you have and from what I can see, my mum wants to see both of us. We both turned and saw mum calling unto us. I knew she wanted to introduce me to someone.

"We'll talk later okay". As we walked towards mum, I noticed two people that I  haven't seen in ages.

"Mr & Mrs Stan" I screamed at the top of my lungs and ran towards then giving them a big hug in the process.

"Oh kat, how are you, its been such a long time"

"I know right, I've missed you so much"

Mr Daniel Stan and Mrs Ashely Stan have been my parents long time friends. They are practically like my second parents. Anytime mum isn't available, Mrs Stan is always the person I run to but there was one nemesis that prevented me from going to their house.

"Oh kat, u've grown into a beautiful Lady"

"Thanks Sir"

"Oh don't be so formal dear, we go way back, you and only you can call me dad or Daniel, anyone that pleases you okay?"

"Sure"

But I must say, i'm rather disappointed" I stared at him feeling really sad and confused.

"Why?"

"You didn't even inquire about my son"

A new different deep voice came in to join the conversation.

"Of course she wouldn't dad, she's too self-centered to do so" he said as he smirked at me.

I can't believe he came back with his parents. You know the nemesis I was talking about, well this is it and its name is

LIAM STAN.
