Mesut should be at the hotel any minute to pick me up and take me to training. Yet I am still a few minutes away from my hotel. After an unsuccessful afternoon of trying to find a Nutri bullet, I just want to get the hell out of here and train already.
Nearly to my destination, I wonder whether they will have kits for me to train in already, and all of the gear I will need. Maybe they will even have a number for me. However my thoughts are abandoned as I walk through the large entrance of the hotel, seeing a man in a black hoodie and sunglasses chatting to the reception lady. Yes, the same one with a caked face that I was talking to earlier.
But to my surprise, he turns around and starts walking my way. But before I had time to avoid the stranger and walk in another direction, they lift the hood off their head and take their sun glasses off, revealing his ever so chocolate brown eyes. Why was he talking to the receptionist, does he know her?
But before I could expand into a world of my own thoughts and think any further, Mesut greets me.
"How are you Alana, you ready to go?" He asks. I just have to grab my bag from my hotel room.
"Yeah, I won't be a second, just have to get my bags." I quickly blurt out, and before Mesut has time to reply, I'm already at the bottom of the stairs.
Trying not to stumble, I sprint up the stairs, not wanting to make Mesut late. When I finally get to my level, I scavenge for the key in my bag, then unlock my door. Just around the corner, next to the kitchen, sits my bag which I quickly grab, and then make my way back to the lobby.
When I'm at the bottom of the stairs again, Mesut and the receptionist are laughing hysterically whilst looking directly at me. I shrug it off, probably because they are not used to seeing a 23 year old women running up and down the stairs when she can easily take the lift.
I approach Mesut, and we exchange smiles. I follow him out to the car, however I can feel the receptionists eyes burning through my skin, which is extremely uncomfortable.
Mesut sets of the automatic doors out of the hotel, and we walk in sync to his car. Mesut never fails to impress me with all of the different cars he has. Mind you, he has a great taste too.
I open the door to his light grey Mercedes Benz, before Mesut starts the engine and we are on our way. Mesut and I have a great chat on the way to football. He is just so approachable and I feel comfortable talking to him about almost everything. Almost.
The conversation was fairly ordinary, up until now when he brings up something I had been hoping, yet dreading to leave his mouth.
"So I hear you have your first game on Saturday." Mesut smirks.
"Yes I do, what are you implying?" I question, while glaring back at him and laughing.
"Oh nothing." He replies. Don't bullshit me.
"Mesut were you wanting to come or something?" I laugh.
"Maybe." He grins.
"Well for your information, the game is at 2pm at the Emirates." I mention, while continuing to smile.
The rest of the car ride was rather relaxed. Mesut had agreed to come to the game on one condition. And that was if I would let him take me to training on a regular basis until I got a car. As much as I tried to deny, he insisted and threatened to not come to the game on the weekend. I knew he would end up coming, but if taking me to training really makes him happy, then I'm all for it.
The Arsenal training facility never fails to intrigue me. I really need someone to punch me back into reality. But as I am thinking this, I feel a soft fist hit my shoulder. It didn't hurt or anything, but I just thought how ironic it was after what I was thinking. But then it hit me. (Pun not intended)
"What, did I say that out loud?" I question to a confused looking Mesut.
"Um, no. You were just day dreaming, so I tried let you know we were here. The first few times failed though, as I must have looked like a monkey, waving my hands in the air and in your face. But something deep was on your mind I'm guessing." He explained. "But what were you just talking about, when you said 'did I say that out loud?'" He said while mocking my apparently high pitch voice at the end.
"Oh don't worry." I assure him.
"Alright then, let's go!" He squeals like a kid. I just laugh and cover my face pretending I don't know him.
We eventually go our separate ways after I say thank you and good luck to him for his training. He does the same, and I make My way to the ladies change rooms.
All the time during the passing practice drills, My eyes couldn't stop wondering over to the men's training session. Mesut and Aaron, who I hadn't yet met, but know, were in a deep conversation while doing their warm up.
The men had just come out, and started to warm up, as they had just done an injury prevention session, while we will be going into there soon and they will train.
I'm not one of the strongest players, and don't have great balance, so injury prevention is very important. I'm quite skinner that most of the girls which shall soon change, but I'm guessing it's a bad thing. I don't want to get injured. The worst injury I have had is a sprained ankle, which is good considering I have played football since I was seven.
Mesut keeps looking my way, as us girls stroll of the pitch, on our way to injury prevention. I can't stop getting caught in his gaze, which is so hard to avoid. But eventually I am forced to when we arrive in the building, and begin our next session. I can't stop thinking about him.
A/N: Hey guys,
A few weeks I said I was in training. Well I have started playing again😄
