(Mid's POV)

"You ready? In three...Two...One- Run!" I cried as I placed the red stone torch down in front of the redstone dust connecting to TNT circling the Squid's base. We sprinted about a good fifty feet away before ducking behind a small hill. I watched as blocks flew through the air wildly and squid hybrids being hurtled around as well. "HAHA SCORE!" I cried giving Anne a high five. The both of us then started laughing. "HEY YOU TWO!" Someone called I froze. Uh oh we were busted. I spun around it was The Squid King. One of his guards spotted us! "RUN ANNE I'LL CATCH UP!" I cried with drawing my sword. "Come on Squids come to mama!" I thought.

(Anne's POV)

"RUN ANNE I'LL CATCH UP!" Yelled Midnight, I jumped up fleeing to the forest to our hideout. I looked back I saw Midnight drawing her sword out. Oh boy those squids have no idea what is coming to them. I kept running till I saw the tallest tree in the forest that's our secret hideout we love the place. If we wanted we could live in it there's a platform inside and fenced around so we won't fall off. It's our own little look out point basically; we've been coming there since we were six years old. Those Squids though have no idea how excellent of a fighter Midnight is. She beats me in training all the time. She's the strongest female fighter in the kingdom, she's taken the strongest male fighter down before too! I climbed up the ladder in the tree resting from running so hard, I opened the bag I brought along it was lunch time I laid out the lunch Midnight would know where to come she's knows this is where'd I go. I laid out the blanket and set up everything waiting for her.

(Mid's POV)

"ANYONE ELSE?!" I yelled the Squid King's guards littered the ground. Blood was everywhere and none of it was my own. I smirked before going to catch up to Anne I know exactly where she is. I sprinted away laughing before making it into the forest I heard The Squid King yell to me...."You'll regret that Midnight you will!" He yelled across the land to me. Oh great I forgot he knows who I am (duh), but something about the way he said it sent a chill up my spine. I shook it off to go to the hideout. I never fully forgot about it though what The Squid King had said. I decided it would be better not to tell Anne. She'd try to get me to tell my father. I saw the tree in the distance I kept running to the tree till I reached the ladder. I climbed up the ladder inside was Anne (like I thought) she had layed out lunch for us. I sat down and we ate as if nothing happened. Even though clearly something had. That night I had nightmares that woke me up throughout the night that terrified me the last one was the worse...

"HOLD HER DOWN PLEASE!!!" Someone yelled. I remember seeing someone with a bunch of needles. Then being strapped and held down to a metal table. I screamed as the first needle went in, then the second. Finally the last one the largest one there was glowing white substance inside it. My eyes widened at that sight of the last needle. The figure plunged it into my arm then everything went dark.

I sat up in bed shaking and sweating I glanced at my clock. Only Midnight (haha) great seven more hours till I had to wake up. I rolled over and drifted back off to sleep brushing it off.
