Chapter 5

3rd POV
Droid heads were lined on in a stone looking table, it was time for shooting practice. Steela was able to shoot one off.

"Impressive. Most impressive," Anakin said.

"Fixed targets are one thing. How about this?" Ahsoka challenged. She used the Force to lift a droid head off the stone and moved it side to side. Steela shot at it, hitting the head each time. "Nice job."

"You have clearly mastered your ability to focus," Obi-wan noticed. She nodded, the rebels moved to a new place.

"Snips, are you losing focus?" Anakin wondered. She looked up to her master, not knowing what to say.

"No, Master," Ahsoka replied. She was losing a bit of focus, but if she did say yes, Anakin would put her out for a few activities.

"Good."

"A headshot is the only decisive way to disable a droid. They don't need arms, legs, or even bodies to pass intel to central command. All right, shoot at will." Rex informed. Steela went into her shooting position, but noticed something moving.

"Wait a minute. What is that?"

"Droids!" Saw shouted.

"Take cover!" Rex ordered. They crouched behind the stone. Anakin and Obi-wan backflipped to avoid the blaster fire, they ignited their lightsabers and began deflecting the shots off. They quickly took cover next to Steela

"It appears the training is over," Obi-wan yelled. The blasters shots were making it hard to hear. More and more droids came from the jungle, shooting at every person they saw.

"I'll take the left flank if you take the right," Anakin shouted. They knelt down behind a crate.

"No Anakin, we can only protect them. We cannot fight this war for them," Obi-wan reminded him. He turned to face Steela.

"There are to many. But Anakin, Ahsoka, and I can hold them off while you get your people out of here," Obi-wan rushed.

Steela looked back at the droids, "You didn't teach us to run." She commed Saw. "Saw, use your disruptors to take out the droids."

"I'm on it," Saw obeyed. "Ready disruptors. On my mark. Now!"

He and and two other people threw them at the droids. The droids argued on what it was, they took to long and the disruptors exploded.

"Not bad."

"That is only the first wave," Obi-wan told Anakin. They heard an engine whirring, once the smoke cleared, a tank was visible. The tank shot a cannon, then another. Destroying their hiding spots.

"We'll handle this," Obi-wan volunteered.

"No, I will," Steela retorted. She pointed her sniper at Obi-wan's head. (Obi-wan's face was like, "WTH!?") "Duck!"

She focused her fire on the animal cage and hit the locks. All the creatures came running out, trampling the droids to the ground.

"Hey, Bonteri, you ready to try again?" Saw took out a bomb. He nodded.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Ahsoka asked. She was busy deflecting the blaster shots.

"What you taught us." Lux answered. Saw and Lux ran to the tank. They hopped on it, Saw took the bottom hatch, Lux took the top one.

"Surrender rebel. Uh... You will anser for your crimes against the Separatist Alliance." The droid said. Ahsoka jumped the stone block and closed the hatch. They hurried to get off and took cover. The tank exploded in pieces. Ahsoka gave Saw a hand.

"We, uh, need to clean you you up," Steela helped Lux up.

Saw chuckled, "I like it. Now you look more like a solider than a politician."

"Well, maybe a good politician needs to get dirty now and then," Steela smiled. The rebels and Jedi huddled in a small group.

"Take confidence from this victory. But rest assured, there will be more droids coming now that they know your position," Obi-wan warned.

"It doesn't matter, you're ready now. We are going to take the fight to the droids. You don't have to hide in the jungle any longer," Anakin convinced. He knew they were ready, but he also wanted to head to the city for another reason.

"Droids were a bit dim, more so than I imagined," Saw thought out loud.

"They make up for it in numbers. They're designed to overwhelm," Ahsoka spoke.

"But they're not designed to deal with our approach," Anakin made a fist. Lux had an idea.

"We hit them where they least expect it," he said, also making a fist. "And before they realize what happened--"

"We fade in with the rest of the population," Steela ended his sentence.

"Exactly." Anakin agreed.

"We need a plan to get inside the city," Ahsoka said

"I have an idea." Lux declared.

The rebels got a few more creatures to move the two hovering vehicles that the rebels were hidden on. Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi-wan were wearing their Jedi robes as always. Lux, Ahsoka, Saw and Steela on the first one. Anakin, Obi-wan and other rebels in the back one. They got closer to the heavily guarded entrance to the city, anticipation overwhelming them, but they had a serious face. If they get descovered, it's the end for them.

"Halt," the droid stopped them. "What were you doing outside the city gates?"

"Hunting," Lux replied. "We've been trekking for days."

"Did you register before your excursion?" A droid with yellow paint scanned the load on the vehicle

"No, but most of our time is spent in the bush, collecting our traps. We come to the city to sell. You can't get thrip larva like this in Iziz, only the biggest trees on the other side of Onderon," Lux explained.

"Hey, listen, we need to deliver all of this in time for supper," Steela kept her cool.

"Hmm. Are you scanning anything?"

"It's hard to tell with so much organic matter," the droid with yellow responded.

"Come on! Our merchants are waiting inside. Can you hurry it up?" the girl said.

"Let them through," the droid instructed.

"Roger, roger." He pressed a button and the red gate hologram disappeared.

"Good plan," Ahsoka whispered loudly.

"Like Saw said, those droids are dumber than we thought," Lux stated. They have entered the city, Iziz.

"Not a bad start, but now the hard work begins," Anakin glanced at them.

"You must find recruits and choose your targets wisely," Obi-wan advised.

"They'll be looking for us," Steela announced. Lux stood up, making sure they can hear him.

"We should slit up," Lux recommended. Saw spoke up.

"Regroup after nightfall. I'll alert our brothers," Saw jumped off the vehicle, then Lux. Other rebels started to get off as well.

"We'll make sure you have the supplies you need," Anakin offered.

"Rex and I will take care of that," Ahsoka took charge. Lux looked at her.

"Good luck."

"You too." Both Steela and Ahsoka responded. They looked at each other with a bit of confusion. Steela got off leaving Ahsoka alone, soon Lux left. Ahsoka and Rex left to get the supplies.

"How do you think they'll do?"

"I have a feeling we'll be pleasantly surprised," Obi-wan smiled.

"So you admit our new strategy will work?" Anakin snickered, playfully.

"I am hopeful, Anakin, hopeful. As we wait for them to finish, we will look around for the Jedi figure."

"The Jedi figure is Ezra, I'm telling you it's gotta be him," Anakin countered.

"We'll see," Obi-wan rode away to explore the city, so did Anakin.

~Finally! 😄 Episode two is finished, but there's still four more episodes to come and I have to write what they say. My neck gets tried of looking up and down two screens. Yet, it's worth it because I do take breaks. I didn't on this chapter though. Also, I almost wrote Anakin as Nanakin. 😋 Don't forget to vote and comment what you think
