Chapter three: Prism Stone
" What were you thinking?!" A black Charizard roared at Barium and Radon when they came back. " You left! Without warning! What do you have to say for yourselves? We needed you out there to help capture an outlaw!" Paarthurnax basically roars.
Barium backs up, ears bent, and shivering. " Oh shut up." Lunala comments, flying in. Paarthurnax glances at her. Jab enters the room as well.
" What the heck is going on with you? You leave your post to get a big bat? No offense to you, Lunala, but these two weren't suppose to do what they have been." Paarthurnax commented.
" None taken. It's just I'm here to help them." Lunala commented. " For What?" Paarthurnax asked. " Necrozma is innocent." Lunala told him. " He could have stolen the sun. We're keeping him until we figure out this situation." Paarthurnax commented.
" Please sir. You've got to see that he's innocent." Barium pleaded, matching up closer to the fire type. Paarthurnax gazes at the Tepig with such fondness. He sighs as he puts his claws to his face.
" Fine. You are on the case. You and Radon, there. I'm not that cruel. You have a short amount of time, though. If you can prove that Necrozma is innocent I will let him go. Until then, he stays here. You both leave starting today. Now this is no normal quest. I want you to search for the real culprit. If there is a different one that is. And bring them in. Understand?" Paarthurnax questions.
Barium nods. " You can count on us, sir!" He exclaimed as smoke comes out of his nostrils. Paarthurnax chuckles. " I hope so. It's too cold without the sun. Please do hurry. I'm not sure how much longer the world can go without warmth." Paarthurnax comments, rubbing his arms.
" We will help too!" Jab promises, flying in closer and choking Barium in a hug. " G-great. Now can you let go of me, please?" Barium questions, squirming. " O-oh! Sorry!" Jab commented sheepishly, as he let go of the Starter.
Barium turned towards Necrozma's prison. " But before we go, can I explain everything to...you know?" Barium asks. Paarthurnax chuckles. " Of course you may. Just be speedy. The sooner you figure out who did it the sooner we can have our beloved sun back." He tells him.
The little fire type nodded as he scampered over to the legendary ultra beast to tell him. Necrozma seemed to understand.
" I see. That's okay. I wish I could just be let go like that, but I guess this 'adventure' will prove how innocent I really am. I wish you luck." Necrozma commented, holding the bars keeping him in the cell.
Barium nodded. " I will not fail you, Necrozma." He promised. " Don't make promises you know you can't keep." Necrozma sighs as Barium leaves.
When the little Tepig got back to his team, he noticed a creepy grin on Jab's face. " Alright, suckers, let's go!" He exclaims as he flies into the door. He falls over. " First, you've got to open the door if you want to go." Lunala responds.
" I see that." Jab groans. Barium reaches his paw up to the door and turns the knob. He looks back at the headquarters of the Starter Squad one final time before he gulps and goes outside.
Radon bounds after him, apparently playing Leap Froakie, as she jumps over Barium's body in excitement. " Adventure!" She exclaims, tail wagging.
" Calm down. This is a serious mission." Lunala commented. Radon looked at the ground. " This is my first mission in the squad." She said, giggling shyly.
" Okay, so how are we suppose to find the true taker of the sun?" Jab asked. " Lunala, do you know anything about this?" Radon asked her. She had a specific look on her face.
It disappeared. " I suppose we start searching through every crevice and every dungeon until we find evidence." Lunala suggests. " Ooh, brilliant idea. We ask Xatu." Barium suggests.
Radon snorts. " That is literally the world's most used way of figuring things out. So cliche. We can figure this out on our own." Radon commented, kicking dust into the air as she trotted ahead.
" I honestly thought that was the best idea." Jab commented, pressing his pincher against Barium's shoulder. The little Tepig sighed. Just because it's a very muchly used way of figuring out how to do things doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. Barium thought as he walked after his team.
He looked at the ground while approaching them. " What do you suggest we do then? We can't just walk around in circles not sure of what to do!" He asked her.
She turned her head to glance at him. He felt his face turn bright red. He shook his head as she replied in her thick meow. " I suggest you don't worry." She tells him.
" Worrying about this won't solve the case of who did it faster." She told him. He grumbled something under his breath about how he didn't say anything about going faster.
" Yeah! Little Litten is right." Jab said with a not concerned smile on his face. " Yeah we want to get a lead and go some place right away, but we have to find the right place to start. We can't just pick a place and that ends up being our doom. Especially since if the place is not where we are suppose to search for this sun stealer in the first place." Jab advised.
Lunala glared at her bat friend. " We also cannot take forever to decide where to go. I know of a place where we might get the answers we desire. And it's not in a dungeon. Well, it's besides a dark cave, but it's not a dungeon." Lunala commented.
" We can start there. I know of a Pokémon who howls at the moon. She might be able to tell us of a Pokémon who might be able to steal the sun." She told them, flapping her wings.
" Can you take us there on your back?" Radon asked. Lunala screeched. " No! No one gets a ride on my back! I'm not a Poképet!" Lunala cries. " So are you just going to fly away?" Radon asked her. " No. I'm not that cruel." Lunala snorted as she rolled her eyes.
The four Pokémon walked/flew over to where Lunala was directing them. " So, this Pokémon who might have a clue who did this." Barium began. " Hmm?" Lunala asked him.
" What and who is this Pokémon you speak of?" He asked her. " She," Lunala began, exaggerating the She part quite a bit. " Her name is Prism. She's a Lycanroc. A special form of Lycanroc. Only one of her kind that I know of." Lunala told.
" Lycanroc?" Radon asked. " Yeah. Special thing about the Pokémon Lycanroc is that there are three forms. Of course there's only one that is extremely rare, but there are indeed three. Lycanroc are Pokemon that howl at the moon. And Prism is one of the only Lycanroc who studies the sun and howls at it as well." Lunala explained.
" What special form are you talking about?" Jab asked. She hit him in the back of the head, knocking him against a nearby tree. " You should know, idiot. You've met her." Lunala commented.
Jab seemed to be hit with the realization. " Oh!! The dusk forme!" He exclaimed as he flew over by Lunala's side, trying to get revenge by tackling her. She was one step of him. She dodged with extreme speed. He blinked in confusion. " What? She was just there." He commented, as he halted his motions.
Radon ran over a tree stump. " Stop playing around, Jab. We have a mission." Lunala told him. His face fell. " I guess. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't have any fun!" He declared, a mischievous grin on his face, as he tackled at the legendary again.
" Grow up, Jab." Lunala told him, glaring at him as they continued their long walk. " Where exactly are we going? You said to a cave, but where?" Radon asked. Lunala looked at her.
" Ten Carat Hill. It's a long while before we reach it, so we're going to have to ride a Lapras. And another Lapras. And another Lapras. And another Lapras." Lunala commented, making both of the fire types groan.
" Just kidding with ya! But you seriously do need to take a Lapras. Prism doesn't exactly live on this region." Lunala explained. The team continued without a word until they reached a city.
A lazy Meowth was holding a sandwich. " We have to be careful. Especially myself." Lunala told them. " There will be Pokémon trainers and wild Pokémon who you won't want to pick a fight with." Lunala warned. " Whatever Wild Pokemon or trainer there is, we can take them on!" Radon declares.
" I'd rather enter counter a wild Pokémon. They're not as pushy. Plus they don't want to catch you just because you're a starter." Barium comments, as he presses himself against Radon for comfort.
The lazy Meowth stared at them. " Are you just going to stand there? Because if you're wanting my sandwich you have to go through me first!" He exclaimed, claws over his sandwich.
" N-no! We are not here to pick a fight. We are looking for-" Barium began. " I don't give a care what you're looking for, pork chop. If you want all parts of your body intact, leave." The Meowth commented.
" We just want some information. Please?" Barium begged. " What is it? Whatever it is. It's not as important as this sandwich." Meowth commented. " We're looking for a Lapras." Radon commented. " To where?" Meowth asked, one eye open.
" Alola." Barium told him. The Meowth glanced at them like he didn't care. He didn't. " You would want to go that way." He informed. The two started to walk. " Wouldn't Lunala have known that?" Jab asked them. " I would have, but it's been a while. Better to have asked." Lunala commented.
The four Pokémon raced and flew through an intersection. It was a mystery why no one was calling out, ". A Lunala! I must catch it!"
" There!" Radon exclaimed as the four friends made their way over to a beach. " Hello!" Radon greeted the Lapras. The Lapras looked at them. " Hello. Ohh!" Lapras said, her face in shock as she glanced at the legendary.
" We, meaning my Tepig friend and I, would like a ride to Alola." Radon commented. " Why? You've got two flying Pokémon right here? Why not ask one of them?" Lapras questioned.
" We tried." Radon lied. Well, about Jab. They never asked. " Plus we've got money." Barium commented, pulling out a wad of cash. " Oh. Okay. In that case climb aboard!" Lapras exclaimed.
She immediately snatched the money. Well, in today's world, Pokémon and humans were pretty greedy. The two fire types exchanged glances.
" After you." Barium said as quickly as he could, trying to hide his face. Radon quickly leaped on the Lapras. " Are you coming on kid or are you just going to waste my time?" Lapras asked really rudely.
Barium ignored her rude comment as he jumped on her hard shell. Lapras took off after that. Jab and Lunala followed her through the sky.
The sun set...or was suppose to set as Lapras continued to swim. She seemed pretty tired. Barium laid down. He blinked as he watched the rushing waves go up and down against Lapras' side.
He put his trotter to the waves. Radon hissed as she watched him. " How can you touch that?" She growled. " Unlike you I like water." He comments, putting his head on his left trotter.
That was of which the trotter he wasn't using to touch the waves. Radon huffed. Barium closed his eyes a bit. The waves were really calming to him.
He pulled back his trotter as he put his head on both trotter paws. He just realized how tired he truly was. He might not have been the hardest working starter, but it was hard work to bring back a legendary and then go on a different adventure. He let himself fall asleep as the world faded into darkness, the sound of Radon complaining about...probably the water lulling him deeper into sleep.

Okay...that wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, but at least the title had a good name. I hope this more horrible chapter didn't bring you to not want to continue to read this. In the next chapter you will get to meet Prism and Paarthurnax's son. I didn't let any of the characters( Paarthurnax) mention this before, but he's going to join them when they get there. I already said too much. Bye bye!
